(Jan 2024) What a great local gem and value. After 2 days in Honolulu/Waikiki it was like a breath of fresh air to head to the North Shore and Tsue's Farm was representative of the different vibe. Family owned, surrounded by nature, easy kayaking for all ages, and fantastic staff. "Rain" helped my wife and I and our 6 and 8 year old girls get set up and launched on their first kayaking experience. Life vests mandatory. Easy paddling up the river nearly to the ocean. Along the way we saw many fish, birds, and a few swimming sea turtles. We also saw sea turtles resting along the riverbanks. Afterwards we had the teriyaki chicken and coconut plate lunches included in the 1.5 hr kayak experience, both delicious. We enjoyed the company of chickens, cats and Monarch butterflies. We bought a refreshing shaved ice and a icy cool fresh coconut cut open and enjoyed delicious coconut milk and meat, all of which Rain made fresh to order. He also showed us features of the farm, let us feed a number of tortoises, and showed us where all the Monarchs were pupating. On the way out we grabbed a mason jar of awesome dragon fruit lemonade. We only had 2-3 hours to spend there and couldve spent another couple of hours exploring and enjoying the very chill atmosphere. Will definitely return if we make it back to Oahu.

Getting a bit of shade under the historic Haleiwa Bridge connecting the river to the ocean.

I returned again with now my teenager son and his best friend to take our cousin who was visiting. Each of us decided to do the paddle board. None of us ever paddle board before. But after 1.5 hours of most wonderful riding along the river to the ocean and back it was even better than last time! We did canoes first time. This time paddle boarding. Definitely the paddle boarding was more fun! Cousin from NYC thought it was the highlight of her trip. We saw the historic Haleiwa bridge. Push jingle linened river, cool fresh water. It's was just awesome. Then we ate at the farm. The c Garlic Shrimp plate was to die for! They also sold star fruit straight from the farm. It was juicy and crisp. We felt like we were discovering old Hawai'i way of spending our weekend.

If you are looking for the perfect lunch hideaway, Tsue's Farm is for you. This local farm is a serene stop to enjoy great food, beautiful views, and even some paddle boarding if you are up for it. The food included large portion sizes and the Coconut Shrimp was so delicious we talked about it for the rest of our trip. Make the trip to Tsue's Farm, I guarantee it's worth it. Orders: Coconut Shrimp, Teri-Chicken (pictured), Kalua Pork

Such a great family friendly spot! Lots to do for a great price! Kayaking the river, tour around the farm, and a lovely and yummy lunch included! Totally recommend to everyone! We will def be back on our next trip. Special thanks to Raul for giving us a great tour of the farm, Rain for helping us with the kayaks and giving us recommendations, and Wendy for having some a wonderful farm!

Location: Amazing scenery! Food ordered: Ask for Doug, he makes some amazing well-seasoned garlic shrimps and coconut shrimps! All the drinks were fresh and tasted amazing! Overall: highly recommended! Make sure to ask for Doug to cook for ya! If you are a cowboys fan mentioned it to Doug! Service: extremely island friendly!

Went to Tsues Farm to kayak down the river. We saw turtles, people swinging off the tree and even people jumping off the bridge! After we had some of the best tasting garlic shrimp which I totallly forget to take pictures of because I was so hungry. We also enjoyed their dragon fruit juice and some shaved ice. Great service!! I'll be back

Honestly good to stop at to eat and also get a chance to do some activities and see the turtles. They've got good shrimp, and some shave ice to cool you down. The shrimp platters come with rice, salad and a slice of pineapple. We dropped by here when we went on the island tour. They have multiple options but we tried the garlic shrimp and coconut shrimp. They use local fresh shrimp, so you know we had to try it out. I would recommend this place to others in the area

Atmosphere: family friendly, relaxing and fun. They have a cute little picnic area for you to enjoy your meal, a little shaved ice area for your dessert, a little waterfall for a cute backdrop photo and when you're all done, you can go paddle boarding on their little lake. This place is adorable. Service: fast and friendly. Food: portions can be a little bigger for the price, but it's Hawaii. The garlic shrimp were sooo good, and their pineapples were the best we've ever had! Their teriyaki chicken looked really good too! We got the the garlic shrimp plate which came with a side of rice, salad and pineapples for $15 each person.

We visited Tsue's Farm as part of a tour. It's a nice area that seems to be off the beaten path. It is quiet and beautiful. The farm has a stream that many paddle boarders were enjoying. Our tour guide called our orders in ahead of time and the food was ready on our arrival. The food was ok, I got the teriyaki chicken. They serve chicken thighs. There is a nice picnic area out back with ducks that are friendly and make visits to your table to say hi. There is also a little shave ice stand that I didn't visit but it is a great touch to the feel of the location.

My favorite part... shave ice time!

Not only are the prices reasonable, but the service is great too. They made sure we had everything we needed for our kayaking adventure. The actual Surf N Sea store has SO MUCH stuff...clothes, swimwear, flip flops, and more. They even sell water and sodas. Plus, they have a bathroom. Not sure if it's for everyone, but they offered it to us she once we were going to kayak. The service in here is great too! Which is great since most surf brands have closed down their physical locations. They have racks on racks of awesome swimsuits and clothes. I love looking through all of their surf competition shirts. I think the last time we bought a surf comp shirt we even got the matching poster for free! I also bought my short fins here and was able to find a really cute pair. The service here was super nice and helpful when looking for a pair of fins. They know you want to get in the water ASAP so they don't mess around. This made me feel like every minute of our session was very impactful. As you would expect; you do a quick land lesson to discuss how the whole thing works and then you head out. The owner, Jodi, did the quick land lesson and got the basics down which was surprisingly simple and straightforward. Our paddle board instructor, Mike, lead us out on the water and eased us into the lesson. He didn't force us to go from sitting to kneeling to standing until we felt ready. He told us that he used to own/run a martial arts school for a very long time so I think his teaching instincts are on point. My boyfriend had a hard time standing up and Mike stayed back to coach him. I did pretty good but Mike still helped me with good tips and let me go out further on my own. I really enjoyed having some independence but still felt secure with Mike there. Random thoughts: The scenery was peaceful and serene; perfect for any anxious learners like us. Having the van near the showers was a nice touch; I can tell that Jodi must come extra early to score this great spot. Jodi's recommendation on what to time to do the lesson was spot on. Earlier is best. We also saw two turtles! That was cool!!!!!!! A fun learning experience at a phenomenal value. Customer service was perfect. Our lesson inspired me to plan for another SUP session soon. And hopefully something I'll do on a regular basis! We'll be back to rent paddle boards until we're ready to invest in our own. Thanks Mike and Jodi! We're officially hooked.
