Aloha! My first trip to Hawaii and my first luau at Paradise Cove!! My friend treated us to this wonderful experience where we learned about Hawaiian culture, language and dance. The management at this establishment is incredible and the staff were so friendly. All of their dancers were amazing and so talented! I honestly enjoyed the entertainment more than the food. There was lots of singing, lots of dancing, hip and booty shaking, laughter and fun. The chicken was probably the best meat compared to the fish and pork (I thought the pork was a bit salty). I enjoyed the sweet potato slices they had because those were super soft, melt in your mouth kind of texture. The other foods were alright. But I gotta say again that the entertainment was top notch! And the views from the beach are amaaaaazing!!

This is one of those locations that you wish less people knew about because it's so pretty! That said, it was less crowded than many of the lagoons just down the way. We came over with hopes of seeing some turtles as there were rumors they hang here in the morning. While to turtles were seen, we did see plenty of fish, some crabs and an eel while out by the rocks. The water was lovely and was relatively shallow and it's a slow grade out, making it easy for the kiddos to play! It's located at the end of the populous portion of Ko'Olina and access is along a relatively small pathway. Plenty of beach is at your disposal and there's plenty of water area with rocky and sandy terrain. Some dudes were fishing, other searching for sea critters and most just chillaxin in the wake! A lovely additional stop for some nice beach going and kickin it in the water!

The cove in all its glory.

Such a gorgeous place! The Hawaiian islands hold a very special place in my heart, so it's only fitting to dedicate review #400 to one of the most beautiful places in Honolulu, Hawaii. I first visited Paradise Cove 10 years ago on a spring break trip with my college friends. The three of us girls wanted to check out a luau for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised, not only by all the lovely eye candy at the luau, but also by the stunning views. 10 years later and I'm still in awe of the beauty of this place. The sound of waves crashing on the shore, all the palm trees adorning the coast, and the color of the sunset in paradise are captivating and hypnotizing. 10 more years from now and I'll probably still find myself mesmerized. Fortunately you don't have to attend a luau just to view this spectacular gift from Mother Nature. The beach is open to the public, but of course visitors cannot cross over to the luau area. DATE TIP: Yes, you definitely want to take a date here. The views will knock him/her off her feet...hopefully in a literal way too!

stay out of the water. If you end up drowning, staff are told not to rescue you. Parafise Cove let a man drown recentl.

Cute little beach next to the luau area. The beach here is tiny but the cove is cute and relatively safe for little ones.

this one star is to the food, which is probably the worst food I ever had in Hawaii. The last two shows are ok. Not very recommend.

Fantastic beach for the little ones…read more The beach area felt incredibly clean and safe. The area is by all the nice resorts (like Disney) and golf course so it's a little farther away from Waikiki. To get in, there's a parking entrance. You can either stick to the right and I believe that's free parking. Alternatively, you can go straight and do paid parking. It's all day parking for $22. We opted for this option since it was quicker and we didn't wanna wait in line. The lagoon area itself has a locally grassy area. For a beach it has very clean restrooms. The beach itself is pretty small, but the water is very shallow and tame. Our baby who is 13 months old had a fantastic time. Highly recommend it will be coming back to this beach with our child in the future.

Hot soup, garbage tourist trap, is literally the only way I can explain this…read more We got there and it looks beautiful! The water is a beautiful shade of blue. You get closer and the water is blue and...white? White because of all the people soup...and sun screen...you go to walk into the water and there's little debris and tiny pieces of trash in the small waves washing up to shore. My daughter put her snorkel on and went in. She couldn't see a thing! And I couldn't see her!! She was 4 feet from shore and when she went in with her bright neon bathing suit (for safety visibility reasons) SHE DISAPPEARED - that's how murky the water is. I was so grossed out when I tried to wade into the water we immediately left.

Pros: Stunning geography, with sandy shallow turquoise…read morewaters and waves that break about 100 yards out. Picturesque lighthouse. Two rinse areas. Restrooms. Cons: The grass and parking lot between the sand and street badly need garbage pickup. Unused shopping cart in the grassy area. A homeless issue. The restrooms are disgusting and heavily vandalized. No soap in the sinks, no towels. I would not bring a woman here or bring my family. For the life of me, I'm baffled why a state park system can't keep up with clean restrooms, given all the hotel taxes, rental taxes, and airport taxes charged to visitors needing basic facilities as a matter of survival. Not everybody can or wants to stay at the Four Seasons (which is terrific). There isn't a job at a resort for every local resident. Ordinary people need to use restrooms and clean themselves afterwards. If the City of Paris can provide terrific self-cleaning portable facilities, with far more inhabitants, then the state of Hawaii can do it, too. Don't give us that BS that "it's not in the budget." I don't mind paying five dollars or something to use the bathrooms or for a pass. The National Park System does a vastly better job.
