We had the matcha and black sesame shiratama sundaes, and black sesame lattes and they were all so good! The shiratama sundaes were definitely the highlight. The soft serves for matcha and black sesame were super strong and tasty. The mochi lacked a bit of flavor, but was well complemented by the red beans, okinawa sugar, and soy bean powder that all enhanced the overall treat. The black sesame latte also came with red beans on the bottom and mochi, but it came with too much milk and I wish it had a stronger black sesame taste. Overall great dessert spot and will come back to try their basque cheesecake and hojicha!

A little hard to find (especially if you're a tourist and easily lost), and not much seating inside especially during busy hours. I got the Shiratama Matcha Sundae in a cup (had Kinako, red bean paste, Shiratama...etc.) It was about £4.95 Overall I liked my experience - patient staff, fast service, and I was satisfied with my order.

I love this place! I've tried it before in Taiwan and no other dessert place has as strong of a matcha flavor as this chain. I always order the sundaes because I love the texture combination of soft serve, mochi, and puffed rice. Even the waffle thats printed with Tsujiri on the top of the soft serve tastes delicious. The soft serve itself is creamy, delicious, and bright in flavor. Both the Matcha and the Houjicha are great flavors. You can now get two flavors in one sundae so I recommend doing that if you want to try each one! Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for an Asian dessert! I've never been to another dessert place that tastes so naturally match flavored as this store,

So good! Every time i've been here they always hit the spot. They have a variety of matcha or sesame soft serves and sundaes, dangos which are like mochi and drinks.

I love matcha - and this place did not disappoint Got the following: Black sesame froyo: solid 4 stars, great black sesame flavor, and very creamy Black sesame and matcha cream puff: 5 stars, I could eat 50 of these. Must get!!! It is crunchy, soft, sweet but balanced, and creamy. The ultimate dessert Would definitely come back

Tsujiri is a small dessert takeaway shop that features everything matcha and houjicha. My friend and I came here on a Friday night to get dessert after having Korean nearby. The shop probably seats about five people so most people don't stay for long or get their desserts to go. After perusing through pictures on Yelp, my friend and I both got the matcha sundae. The matcha flavor is strong and delicious! Within this cup of sundae is also a ton of other flavors and textures from the red bean paste, wafer, mochi, chestnut and rice puffs at the bottom. I loved getting a bit of everything in each spoonful! The prices are also pretty standard for the area. If you love matcha, then you need to check this place out!

    Giant bowl of matcha

I was really looking forward to coming here especially after seeing the large menu of all matcha based items. I felt I couldn't go wrong, but perhaps I took a slight wrong turn somewhere. The afternoon rush seemed to quiet as I ordered so I was able to find a window seat. It took nearly 10 minutes for my order to be ready. Again, there were no other orders but mine. They called out it was ready. Really? One of the three staff couldn't bring it out to me? When I went over I noticed that my medium size had doubled into what I can assume was the large. It was a giant bowl and it was steaming hot. I asked the staff for a tray and after looking for one, he just said he would bring it out. Apparently more skilled than I was at carrying hot bowls of tea. The presentation was great but after a few sips once it cooled, it was clear that bigger isn't always better. The tea to milk ratio was low and I knew I wouldn't be able to finish the drink. I needed more flavour, more umph! The other menu items look very appealing should I be back but with other matcha tea makers in the neighbourhood, that won't be anytime soon.

This is my favourite matcha place in London, I would recommend to everyone who wants to try the REAL matcha flavour as it is in japan. Try the soft serve ice cream if it is your first time trying this flavour. There sre just few seats so it is mostly take away and a bit of queuing. Amazing place

    Shiromata sundae. My favourite!

I love this place. Have tried it in Asia, so I was pleasantly surprised and happy when I walked by accidentally. This is a big deal people! Finally legit, authentic matcha has arrived in central London. It's really, really good! I had the Shiromata Sundae, which was delicious! And I also got a matcha soft serve in a cup. Also delish! Perfectly sweet, with a nice, rich and smooth matcha flavour. Definitely come and get some soon. I almost knocked a star off though because this place is really small and I couldn't get a spot to sit. Never fear! You can walk 3 minutes, one block away to the courtyard of Ham Yard Hotel and sit on a bench outside. Problem solved! This place gets so busy. There was a long line out the door and I had to queue for about 10 minutes. Totally worth it though! I can't wait to come back.

I came here on their second day of opening so the staff were still scrambling to figure out processes (like how to accept credit cards, or what you're ordering). You could feel the stress - but there's no need for it! Tusjiri has really yummy matcha green tea ice cream and other great desserts! I ordered the Tsujiri sundae which was good - however in the future I may skip out on all the topping stuff. I felt the red bean paste was so sweet it masked the light matcha flavor of the ice cream. Next time I'll just be getting a soft-serve; this could come down to personal preference!

The Houjicha Milk Float. SO much yum. Very refreshing.

I'd give it a full five stars if the portions weren't so small. Tsujiri matcha soft serve sundaes are phenomenal - especially when packed with a layer of Rice Krispies/Cornflakes (who knew this was such a magical combination? And yet, it makes so much sense ...) and a generous dollop of red bean paste. I tried both the sundae and the Houjicha Milk Float, which had a lovely roasted tea flavor. Staff are friendly and service is prompt - we received our order pretty much immediately after placing it, despite the busy hour! Downsides? Small portions and even smaller seating area ... some people had clearly finished their ice cream, but were just ... chilling (no pun intended). Which is cool, except for the fact that there's very limited seating and my friend and I just wanted to stay and chat. And order more. Still, if you've got a craving for a matcha treat, Tsujiri is a great bet. Just make sure to save up your pennies.

Chiffon cake sundae - matcha soft serve with chiffon cake, red bean & lots of cornflakes!
    Pen L.

Since Tsujiri's opening of the London branch I have been a few times, simply because of the central location in soho and late opening hours. For the first visit I opted for the matcha sundae with chiffon cake, red bean paste and cornflakes. The matcha soft serve is much sweeter with a creamier texture than the ice cream at Tombo or Kanada-ya. Friends who ordered other sundaes found that the mochi were hard rather than soft and chewy. The sundaes consisted mostly of cornflakes or rice crispies with a small serving of matcha ice cream. On subsequent visits I tried the ice cream floats as eating breakfast cereal late at night is rather unappealing. The bitterness of the Hojicha balanced the sickly sweet matcha ice cream so it seemed that the ice cream floats were preferable to the sundaes. That is until my 3rd and final visit, I ordered a matcha red bean float. The red beans were hard, the tea looked and tasted like water leftover from soaking the red beans. A very disappointing and waste of £5.95 for an unpalatable drink. With the recent opening of further matcha ice cream outlets there are far better options in Soho and Covent Garden. Tsujiri needs to improve to keep up with newer competition.

    Matcha overload
    Elisa T.

Matchhhha Mondays! And Tsujuri is as authentic as they come originating straight from Japan. I ordered the crispy sundae which at ~£5 was a bit steep I thought considering half of it was just puffy cornflakes. I also didn't enjoy the red bean which seems to be in all their sundaes. The matcha icecream was great though! Could have had a whole tub of that!

Very refreshing desserts. I ordered the ice blended green tea. I am no matcha green tea expert, but it tasted a bit cheap.

Most overrated place ever... I kept seeing long queues outside this place for ages and I really…read morewanted to see what all the hype was about. There's 3 main burger options and then you add all the toppings you like to customise your burger. While my boyfriend asked for all of the toppings I asked for the plain bacon cheeseburger as I wanted something simple. I obviously tried both options and they were equally disappointing. My boyfriend's burger was juicier than mine for to the peppers and onions that made it taste more fresh, while mine was a mass of meat and plastic-y cheese that I can easily dub 'the artery clogger' because it felt like I'd need a double bypass after eating it. Not to mention that the bacon was bone dry and crunchy, borderline burnt to a crisp and breaking in crumbs when you bit into it. Honestly worst bacon I've ever tried. To be honest the variety of toppings was very underwhelming as the choices were something you expect from a basic burger (mayo, onions, tomatoes etc). With gourmet burgers in your average pub offering avocado, egg or pulled pork and even your local spoons burger coming with onion rings, Five Guys is really not bringing anything new to the table. The skin on chips were enough to vaguely justify the £4 and they were decent so I was happy with them. However, my highlight was getting free pints of water which on its own says a lot about what this place has to offer. This place is a glorified Mc Donald's with pretty much the same quality as far as flavour or texture are concerned and five times the price to fool you int thinking it's a real restaurant. I do not intend to go back there again as it was a complete waste of money to eat something basic and unhealthy.
