I've come back a handful of times since my initial review and I'm honestly so happy to have found this spot! Their waitress/waiters have been very nice and quick whenever I've come. You can choose to order from the regular "A La Carte" menu which is priced per item, or you can choose to do all you can eat (white menu) for $24.99 per person. Note: you cannot share if certain people in your party choose different menus, and there is a .50-$1.00 charge per left over item you cannot finish. I highly recommend eating the all you can eat menu as just ordering two sushi rolls will be the equivalent. Their ronin roll and steak Yaki Udon is the BEST. The sushi wasn't the greatest, my California roll was definitely not very fresh but my nigiri was pretty good. The beef hibachi was not at all good it was extremely chewy like rubber and it had a very weird like gravy over it. The rice with the hibachi was absolutely disgusting it had almost a chemical taste to it and made us both feel sick. It was cheap but also tasted it. I normally don't write reviews for anything but i saw a review complaining about the music and i want to say to whoever is in charge-- PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE IT!! , i dine at most places by myself, and a lot of restaurants -chain or not -have the most boring music that when you are solo dining and have no one to talk to it ruins the atmosphere. When i eat i want to feel happy not like i just stepped on an elevator and am waiting for my floor to exit quickly. This used to be my favorite all you can eat sushi spot in Jacksonville NC, but as of about a year ago their food quality has been 3 out of 5. I consistently been coming here for over 5 years. We had multiple encounters with the manager which he was very rude. We were turned away an hour before the restaurant closed as they closed early 2 occurrences and both times the manager turned us away and didn't even apologize for closing early. Very careless mentality. On the way to the bathroom its a slip and slide as the floor is super slick even in tenis shoes. Unacceptable. I cant imagine woman walking in heels. Most of the waiters/waitresses/hostesses are very nice. The food quality has dropped drastically in portion and freshness. They need to step up their game again. read more

The vibe is nice, its a good one on one spot, have your space and don't really have to go anywhere. The food was really good but i felt pressured to eat more than i wanted so i didn't get charged out the bum. The food is what you expect for sushi, i think they need to leave pictures of the items you are looking at on the table, they give you a list for the "all you can eat" but reading what something is and seeing it is huge for sushi. I ordered some things that i thought were going to be different than when they showed up. It is VERY expensive for a sushi. Daughter ate 2 rolls and some crab salad. I would love to rate this place more but me and my husband went on a Friday night and we knew it was going to be busy. It was about 30-45 minutes before we got sat and when we did our server only greeted us twice. We got half of our food and we got our miso soup in deli cups. Arrived mid Lunch time, wait wasn't terrible. Was seated, and greeted by our waitress. We told her this was our first time, she proceeded to give us the run down in the "ultimate eating" or the "Menu options" I opted in for the unlimited I had the "angle hair rolls", Goyza, and "Beef, Shrimp, and Chicken thick noodles" I throughly enjoyed them they were really good! For someone with limited stomach space I definitely should've come here when I was starving, because I got full too quick off the scrumptious food! We came in, assuming it would be busy for the holiday, but being as it was still fairly early, we managed to get in without much hassle. We were greeted much better by the hostess than the waitress, who did less than the bare minimum (I.e check on your guests, refill their glasses or at LEAST offer to). My boyfriend and I have come in once before, just as busy, and it was good, but this time, I absolutely cannot find anything acceptable about the waitress's service. The music was hard to hear over everyone else, but was nice to listen to when we could hear it. The first part of the food was passable, but the second round, I was given something I never ordered. Upon mentioning it, the waitress completely disappeared until we asked for the check. On top of it all, I was charged for the thing I never even ordered that was left over. I don't know what the other negative reviews are complaining about. This is all you can eat sushi! There's always surcharges if you don't finish your rolls (which we almost didn't), but that's every all you can eat sushi joint. And I understand why they don't bring out wasabi and ginger with every roll. Lord knows I barely touch that when I eat rolls so it gets wasted. Im looking forward to coming back. tried the ayce sushi for $16. it's definitely not worth the time or money. better off paying more money for a decent roll. it's basically rice with an accent of fish. most of the rolls are cooked or has cream cheese or spicy fish in it. which isn't very authentic. it's beautiful inside, but i wouldn't go back to ever have their sushi again. read more

They give you a paper menu and there's pencils on table.. for 24.95 plus beverages you can choose and eat as much as you want.. they make it per order so not a go pick it off a buffet line. They had simple sushi and special rolls with crazy names. The only thing not included was dessert and sashimi.. those were extra.. be aware tho that any uneaten sushi you'll be charged like 50 cent each piece so go easy.. you don't have to order it all at once they bring new sheets out if you want more..the sushi was very good . I also got a miso soup and 2 crab ragoons included as well.. thought about ordering more ragoons but I was so full I knew that wouldn't be smart lol. I think overall we paid $80 for 2 of us with a pretty big bottle of sale we got that was $28 added to bill.. our waiter was very nice and helpful.. they had hibatchi on menu for buffet too so not limited to just sushi.. we would come again.. the special rolls if bought outright are 11-12$ a roll so once you eat 3 you've already hit that buffet price plus on buffet you have lots of options..I'd recommend going and giving it a go. read more

When I opened up my food, I thought I was being pranked. NEVER in my life have I been served yellowtail jalapeño this thin. My husband and I frequent this restaurant and usually get the AYCE. The slices of fish have always been bigger. How does that make sense? $25 for as much food as you want vs. $9 for an appetizer itself and you slice it as thin as you possibly can? You can see the box through the fish. Husband went back to see if they could remake it, but they just refunded him. He left a tip the first time he went, which we always do, but now are regretting it after the lack of customer service. We did the all you can eat. Our bill was around $110 for 2 adults, 4 year old, and 9 year old. This was our first time. As soon as we were sat down our server came by and asked if we were ready to order. We hadn't even had time to read the menu. So she got our drink order, dropped it off and didn't come back for 30 mins and that's only because we asked one of the hostess walking by if they could get her. When she gets to the table she goes "did you guy need me?" I was like yes, we still need to put in our order. She goes "oh, what can I get you?" She never came by to ask about refills, or if we wanted to order more for the all you can eat. Anytime she came over we had to try to wave her down. Any questions we asked about the menu, she wasn't knowledgeable or didn't know. I think she honestly forgot we were in her section. The kids also got their food last and a while after we got ours. I've read most of the bad reviews here and I feel like it's uncalled for. This is honestly the best AYCE Restaurant I've been in North Carolina, I haven't been everywhere but I've been to Charlotte, Raleigh Triangle Area and Wilmington. Some people compare it to the Okami Wilmington Restaurant and I honestly would like to do so as well. First of all, they do not load up your rolls with Rice, unlike Okami Wilmington or any of the AYCE Sushi / Regular Restaurants I've been in Raleigh/Charlotte Second, unlike Okami, they haven't ran out of Salmon where they had to use SALTED Salmon (The cured salmon you use on Lox Bagel) on their rolls / nigiri. I've ordered multiple nigiri and the servings stayed consistent even though I've had a 6th order, in Okami and other AYCE Sushi places you can tell they're tired of your crap with how they made your Nigiri and etc The service issue is subjective, sometimes you get a bad server, sometimes you get a good one but I've NEVER held it against the restaurant. If you have an issue with a server, ask for another one. The servers right now are local to Jacksonville NC and has never worked in a (small townish) place like this. This kind of service is very new to this area. Be patient, or ask for a new server. Also, we've been on this restaurant 3 times since they opened. Yes we came back twice because of how good it is. We will actually come back next week, and more weeks afterwards. Please support an ACTUALLY great Local Restaurant, and this is one of them. read more

Beware of food smelling like bleach! Husband and I went to try their all you can eat sushi and hibachi. Beef udon was pretty good and we liked the tempura California roll. We kept eating until we ordered 2 miso soups. Husband's was fine but mine smelled like bleach. I sent it back to the waiter, who also agreed it smelled like bleach and asked the kitchen about it. Kitchen said it smells like bleach because the bowl just came out of the dishwasher. So I guess they wash their dishes with bleach? No apology from the staff, just asked if I wanted another bowl. They have meats and all supplies to make the sushi rolls just lying around while there are flies buzzing around. The service is completely unprofessional. If you're enjoying your meal for too long they will try to force you to leave by bring your check and insisting that you wait in the front to pay your check. The ambiance is similar to being in a bathroom in a nightclub. The facilities are dirty, floors are slimy , and the staff are constantly forgetting about your orders. The dinner all you can eat is about $5-6 more than the lunch. The lunch all you can eat has a limited menu . You need to completely eat all your food before you order more. If you leave any sushi or nigiri on your plate, I think there's a charge of $.50 - $1.00. I've always had a good experience here. Sashimi is very fresh as well as the sushi rolls. To avoid a long wait to be seated, try to dine early evening or any night beside Friday and Saturday. They do have a menu that you can order from also.
