I have been trying to figure out which grocery store had those fruit shaped cakes. I walked into World Fresh Market. The front of the produce reminded me of City Market. Beyond the produce, not a regular store. This grocery store has the prettiest cakes I've ever seen. There's flan larger than a regular cake. There's bags of iced cookies. Breads of all types. Oh, they also have tacos plus a Mexican restaurant attached. The bakery winds around to the middle of the store. Those fruit shaped cakes? Right there. So cute and looking yummy. I can't say enough about the bakery. I bought little fruit shaped watermelon fruit cakes. I also bought pistachio filled croissants. This is absolutely my favorite store. I'll be back cause I'm in this area often. But seriously, stop by the bakery and get a mousse cake if you want to be the favorite at a potluck.

Unfortunately that's not what happened and I was too hungry to say anything. I had the falafel bowl. The dude just piled up whatever was in the bins & threw them in the bowl with some kind of awkward semi organized manner, while *completely* ignoring the hummus and the garlic sauce. I swore he put the hummus in first, but at the end I asked him if there was Hummus in my falafel bowl- and the answer was no. As in NO HUMMUS IN A FALAFEL BOWL. I also wanted garlic sauce and he refused to put it into MY food only on the side like some kind of lame afterthought for the flavor impaired. My buddy got the shawarma wrap, which looked more like a taquito. They put french fries in the shawarma wrap, along with a little bit of shawarma- and not much else. The advertise price was $9.99 but when we got to the register the price became $11.99. when we brought it to their attention that his shawarma wrap was not actually what they charged us - which they called a "viral ribeye shawarma" they try to tell us the extra $2 was for the nine french fries they added to the package. I GET that were in Kansas, and there's not too many folks that even know what a falafel or shawarma is- but these guys who spoke the language of these regions so they certainly do, or I guess I should say- they used to know what it was. I am quite disappointed by what they've become, I hope they understand this- but I probably won't find myself willing to give it another shot for a while.

The produce and seafood sections are top-tier. You'll see live lobsters and crabs swimming in tanks, and the variety of exotic fruits and fresh vegetables is unmatched in the KC area. Don't miss the Pan-Asia Cafe and Bakery inside. The made-to-order soup dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) and Korean Honey Garlic Chicken are 10/10, and the portions are huge for the price. There's even a Korean skincare shop (Navia) and a bakery with fresh-baked treats that are made fresh everyday and boba tea. There is also sushi there also made fresh everyday! Whether you're a seasoned cook looking for specific spices or just looking for a fun afternoon of discovery and lunch, this place is a must-visit. Plenty of parking and super friendly staff!.

I looked up closest Asian grocery so I could get my grandma back feeling well w lots of fresh ingredients that most American stores don't offer. This was a mixture of Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Filipino grocery so I also got to try new things. The store is very clean, organized and service was really friendly to help me find things I needed. I was also happy to see I could buy things to make my Vietnamese coffee since not a lot of coffee options in the area. They sell house goods, pans, some Asian skincare and Knick knacks you won't find in American stores. I was blessed to find it!

They have a good selection of items even though the store isn't that big. I wish they had very ripe plantains for maduros and was surprised when they didn't. They did have green for tostones. I thought the carneceria had a good selection. As usual, you don't feel robbed blind by the prices! And as always, they have someone ready to help you. El Torito is no exception and all the employees were very helpful. 5 stars for that area and selection. The produce is good but again a bit smaller so a little limited. All the produce looked good though! Prices were very reasonable! I wasn't very impressed by the hot bar offerings. My partner did like the chicharrones available. There was nothing I was very interested. They had a shredded chicken dish but it was quite plain. I prefer the one cooked with green olives (that may be Cuban but I'm not sure). No rope vieja. I think it was more limited because they have a taqueria attached to the store with a large menu. I didn't get a chance to try it but I want to go back and give it a try. It looked yummy! The menu looks extensive. Overall, the store was clean and as usual at any Mercado, the Latin/Mexican community who frequent it as customers or work there could not be nicer. I look forward to going back!

It has the ambience of a Taco Bell and the interior probably adds to that. The service wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. I think that the added percentage for using a credit card kills it for me, it seems that it would be smarter to raise prices by 3-4 percent and then offer a cash discount, that way nobody is offended. The food was decent, especially the burrito, it had a great taste to it and it didn't need any doctoring with any extras on it. I will be back again to see if they raise their game.

They also have a good selection of incense, hence dyes, pickled condiments... and that's just the first isle. If you are looking for an exotic ingredient- this would be my first recommendation in the Olathe/Overland Park and surrounding areas. Now on the downside, finding an exact item in the freezer/ prices of frozen items can be time consuming. So grab a cart or basket, have your list ready and leave happy that you could find everything you wanted. The place doesn't feel overly crowded and produce always is super fresh. I consider it a hidden gem.

The biryani was delicious, with a good number of veggies and a nice, medium, lingering heat level. I found the store to be clean and busy early on a Saturday evening, while the service at the checkout counter was efficient and accommodating. Overall, Royal Spices was a good option for tasty, reasonably priced grab and go Indian food.
