I'm really glad to see this clinic shut down for several reasons. I was a patient a few times and was just getting tired of sitting and waiting to be seen and left after never being called back and didn't return. The real reason this makes me happy is because of the trauma my son went through as a patient himself. He was ridiculed by Dr. over a medical emergency he suffered as a newborn and this behavior by a medical professional should not be tolerated. My son has had to deal with this his entire life and Dr. Hoffman took his trust away and has really messed up his self confidence and body image by not respecting my son and by being a jackass over something that my family has dealt with that is 1 in 1 million his entire life. read more

As a patient you can be five minutes late. After that you have to reschedule. But the doctor may run as much as an hour late. How fair is that? Plus a late appointment is considered a no show and you will be charged a late fee. Find a new practice. read more

good to se them go out of business! they are still mailing me bills from years ago that they never charged back then! seems very shakey! i am filling out a form from the oregon medical board so they can check this out! my wife just got a bill for 26 dollars in dec 2024 when i went to my appointment on dec 6 2023 and the door was locked! they charge 25 dollars for no show where's mine? iam saving 3 to 500 on inhalers for copd that a cardiologist says i never had! that's per month now! i really liked dr hoffman sad to get the truth! read more

This business has failed and closed up shop in January 2024. Despite having claimed that Dr. Hoffman accepted Medicare I continue to receive, in April 2024, a fraudulent bill for almost $600 for a January 2023 office visit that the office has never bothered to bill to Medicare. Their front office couldn't be bothered to do their job properly so they now want me to pay out-of-pocket to compensate them for their laziness. Each month when I get the fraudulent bill I point out to them their failure but nothing ever changes. They don't seem to get that a patient can't bill Medicare directly (at least I don't think so) with the proper medical billing codes for reimbursement should the patient pay the bill out-of-pocket. Last month I even offered to pay them out-of-pocket 10% of the fraudulent bill just to clear the books and save them the trouble of billing Medicare. Crickets. Just another fraudulent bill for almost $600 again this month. Dr. Peter Hoffman is a decent medical doctor. As a businessman, not so much. read more

I have been a patient at Tuality Physicians for several years. However today I went in for an annual physical / general checkup and was running late (I have a 3 month old). I got there 5 mins late according to my watch. Some extremely uppity secretary said that I was 9 minutes late and they have a 7 minute late policy (which I have never heard of and seems a pretty random number). I gave her a raised eyebrow over the apparent 2 minutes past I was. All of which is beyond ironic considering every time I've been there, I've had to wait 5-10 minutes in the lobby to be seen for SCHEDULED appointments. She told me he had already seen another patient and waiting for them to finish was not an option as it would "totally throw off their day". I had fasted for the appointment and everything. She said the next time I could come in was almost a month later. I had already waited a month just to get scheduled. NO THANKS! I'll go somewhere that actually cares about their patient's business. read more

There is a total lack of consideration for the patient's time. A routine appointment to discuss prescriptions should not take over an hour and a half. I get that sometimes people run late and since this is an ongoing issue, I requested an early morning appointment. And still the NP was late. I also get that one might think that you really want the NP/Dr to take their time/spend a lot of time with their patients. But this isn't the case either. The majority of the time you are left alone in a room waiting. This is obviously a time management/scheduling issue which needs to be address. I won't be going back. I'm just shocked that more people don't complain. read more

Dr. Hoffman is the best doctor I've ever had. He's patient, attentive and makes sure I get the most benefits from my insurance for my treatment. I have been with Tuality Physicians for decades (1980s). They have always been known for their quality of care. When I worked in Hillsboro nearly everyone in the office I worked in went there. Dr. HOFFMAN joined about a year before Dr. F retired. He is thorough and compassionate. I come from of a family afflicted with depression. I have migraine as well, and all SSRIs make the migraine worse. Dr. H put me on Ketamine, the first long term antidepressant that has worked and could be tolerated by me. He has helped me with a laundry list of ailments (migraine, diabetes, High BP, etc) with patience and never suggested I was imagining things. Having been on the other side of that, I cannot say how important that is. Now my medical issues are all being addressed. I have read some complaints that the wait time can be long, but that is only because he takes sufficient time to listen, ask pertinent questions, and empathize. These are becoming rare qualities. He has worked to solve this issue. I would unreservedly recommenced this practice for help. read more

If i could give -10 i would. I called to make an appointment for my significant other, and gave very specific details of why he needed to be seen. When we arrived for the appointment, the doctor seemed very confused. My significant other gets nervous with doctors, so i said what he was there for, and asked for 2 tests. The doctor looked at my S.O like i was abusive and controlling in asking for them to be done. He had not heard of "that issue" that my SO was there for.... and then said "i'm going to look something up" and never came back. The nurse came in with lab paperwork and said they'd send the lab request to Tuality Hospital. The lab requests were never sent to Tuality Hospital, and the doctor never came back in to tell us the results of the google search. I have never heard of a doctor nearly refusing and being argumentative about running screening tests, a vitamin D test (which he failed to order, because insurance wouldn't pay for it, despite us being perfectly fine to self pay for a test.) and a metabolic panel as well as a CBC to rule out infection. He ordered some tests, but only printed out a paper. When i asked how my SO could get his results, they said in his follow up he would need to "be sure to ask to have them printed" because the staff is clearly not willing to provide honest and open communication. When my significant other went to Tuality Hospital (as the phlebotomist for Tuality Physicians had left for the day so he couldn't have the blood drawn at the office), he was told how horrible other people have said Tuality Physicians truly were. Yelp confirmed it for us. We have made the follow up appointment elsewhere and he will just take his results to the new appointment. Even the receptionist i talked to was more pleasant and listened better than the one at Tuality Physicians. I think the Doctor's name was "Joe" at Tuality Physicians that we saw. Truly disappointed. Crappy service, crappy "care", crappy communication, even crappier "doctor". I don't trust a "doctor" that needs to use Dr. Google. I could do that myself. read more

Kudos to Tuality Physicians for their tireless efforts to serve the community during this Covid pandemic. I spent hours calling around to find a place for a Covid test because I had symptoms. Drug stores were scheduled out over a week later. Virginia Garcia and Hillsboro Community Health Clinics serve only their patients, a very selfish attitude in these high need times. I finally called 211 and they gave me the number for Tuality Physicians. I was able to get a drive through rapid test the next day. They were outside handling a line of cars coming in - working hard to meet community need. It's ridiculous that we don't have a better system to meet the needs of Covid vaccinations and testing and treatment. Tuality Physicians were also providing treatment BTW. read more

My wife sees Dr. Hoffman and I see Dr. Borman, so we argue about who is getting the best care. Bottom line the entire staff is just incredible. I wrote a google review for them about a year ago, but these guys need more love in Yelp. Dr. Borman is quite frankly the best doctor I have ever had, hands-down. Knowledgable, to-the-point and truly cares about you and your health. Until pretty recently I didn't need to visit often - maybe once every couple years - but old age has caught up with me and I've been in more than I like. She just fixes what's wrong with you. She is a miracle worker and a true gem. She's like family. The support staff is friendly as well - everyone from the office staff to the nurses run the place like a well oiled machine and while I won't go so far as to say I will ever enjoy going to the doctors office, this crew make it as positive an experience as it can ever be. 5 stars isn't enough. I almost never do reviews but I feel like this one is necessary because there are actual fumes coming out of my ears due to how frustrated I am with this office. First, this is not directed at my primary doctor, Wallace whom I am very fond of and has always taken good care of me. This is directed at the MA staff and front office staff. Long story short, for the past month I have been paying for prescriptions out of pocket because every single time they fail to get a PA from my insurance when my pharmacy says its needed. My final straw was when the urgent care provider I saw prescribed me a different medication, that also needed a PA last Thursday. I decided to not just pay out of pocket for this one because it was $300+ and I figured I'd give them a chance to get the authorization. Today I called in to check in on it and the front desk girl told me that they would call me back. They didn't so I called them again maybe 4 hours later and she told me that they had no idea what RX I was talking about and they have no documentation or chart notes of my appt on Thursday or what I was prescribed. She started to bring up medications that I have been prescribed in the past and talking about medical conditions that I do not even have. This is incredibly frustrating because i have already been without medication since Thursday and they haven't even been working on it. I work in the medial field myself and I would never be this complacent regarding a prescription someone needs. After being hung up on, transferred to voicemails and treated like I was an idiot, I was finally on the phone with someone who could now magically all of the sudden see what I was prescribed. Each person tried to make me feel stupid for not knowing what the medication was called when they should have been able to go back and check themselves in their system. If they don't even know, how am I supposed to know? They ended up prescribing me the first medication they had been prescribing me all month long, which I will have to pay out of pocket for (just less than the $300 rx). Also, keep in mind that my insurance wants a PA because they keep prescribing me the same thing for the same problem and not really solving the issue. Anyways, if you want to deal with the same situation for months, pay out of pocket for your prescriptions due to the negligence of the staff and get treated badly then yes, 10/10 I recommend this office. read more

I almost never write reviews but this is worth the effort. This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The front desk staff are unprofessional and rude. I have never waiting for less than 30 minutes for my appt, even though I am on time, and each time the providers stress about how overworked and busy they are. This is unfortunately reflected when the provider didn't call in a fairly urgent prescription for an infection. This unnecessarily left me dealing with an issue that could have been resolved by a simple antibiotic. Additionally, I was referred to a specialist and they never sent the referral paperwork, which also left me unnecessarily waiting for the right dr. If you are thinking about this place, I strongly advise you to RUN. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I've been coming here now for about a year and a half now. I can't remember the last time I've received such wonderful personal care. The staff here is quick and efficient and I'm never waiting long, even in urgent care! Dr. McCaffrey actually cares about me and my health and I have never felt like he wasn't 100% thorough. He takes the time to listen to ALL of my symptoms and he doesn't just throw meds at me at every turn. I have since moved to almost an hour away and I still make the trip to come here rather than anywhere else...and I've shopped around. Really disappointed yet again - 1st visit, saw a PA, liked him well enough. He ordered blood work to check my platelets, something I get done every 6 mo-1 yr (never have to pay through insurance). Come to find out that he also ordered every test under the sun on my blood and ended up costing me a $450 lab bill. I've tried 3 times to get ahold of the office manager to discuss this, with no luck. Same man also ordered an ultrasound for an unrelated issue. When I returned to have it read, he no longer worked there so saw Dr. Resendiz. I have never written a review for a medical practice because I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but my god, he was so unfriendly and unhelpful I left the office crying. I will never see him again, and possibly will never return. I've liked the nurses I've seen, and the front desk staff most of the time though. read more

I personally had really good experiences here with Lowery (who is no longer working there) and Wallace, so this review isn't about them - they were wonderful and provided great treatment. Please make a point to see them and you will have a great experience. I went with a friend who saw Tracey Durst, and she had a horrible experience. My friend asked a question about why a test needed to be done, and we could overhear Tracey and the nurse in the hallway openly and loudly discussing my friend "being difficult." Tracey came into the room on the offensive, came off very condescending and rude, and made her cry. Tracey's response to her crying was completely unsympathetic and incredibly unprofessional. She showed no genuine concern for her. She asked one question the entire visit - "what are your symptoms?" and made upsetting assumptions based off that without asking any other questions. My friend has a huge phobia of doctors, and expressed that it is unlikely that she will seek any medical care in the near future due to this horrible experience. It upsets me even more because I recommended Tuality to her because of my great experiences there, and they are now being overshadowed by this bad one. Go see Lowery or Wallace instead - they will advocate for you. read more

Tuality Physicians (Meghan Wallace) We were here few times and had very bad experience. Last time I went to this place because I had severe inflammation of one eye. I was told by Meghan Wallace that she is not going to prescribe me any medicine/eye drops, it will go away naturally in 7 to 10 days, and if I do not like something I can go to different urgent care. As a result, I have serious issues with my eye and loosing my vision. Awful place and unskilled employees! read more

The hours the practice is open makes it convenient to be seen, the staff is friendly and I really felt heard during my office visits. I would recommend this practice to anyone. read more

Worst healthcare related experience I've had in years. I recently had a bad experience with this same office earlier this year but since things had been fine the first couple years of visiting this office. So, I thought I'd let that slide and give them another chance. Set up an appointment to see a doctor and have them fill out paperwork for Social Security. This is paperwork that must be filled out by a medical doctor. Sat there for an hour to be told by the person they scheduled me with couldn't fill out the paperwork because that person was a Nurse Practitioner, not a doctor. I asked why I wasn't scheduled to see a doctor considering that was the reason I was there, and they knew that when i set up the appointment. They gave me no explanation. They did not offer to have another, actual doctor in the office to fill it out. They seriously told me that I might want to go to a different doctors office. I was stunned and absolutely furious. As unprofessional as any office I've dealt with in the state of Oregon. I have filed a formal complaint with OHP as a result of this situation. Stay far away from this place. read more

I first came here when they were still at their old address for the urgent care- even though it was at the very end of the day, I never felt rushed or as though I wasn't listened to. They're now my primary care office, based on that (and a subsequent urgent care) visit. I moved away from the neighborhood and still make the longer trip (by transit) to continue to use their services rather than go somewhere else. They've always been helpful, answered any questions I've had (in person or on the phone), and none of the providers or office team have ever made me feel rushed, foolish, or unimportant. read more

NOT recommended been there done that, now moved to different office, please avoid this place at all cost. Have been going to this place since 2004, started out with Dr. Tran. Dr. Tran moved away, Dr. Borman took over my whole family for Dr. Tran. Dr. Borman moved away. We now understood why these Doctors moved away. They also switched to an in house billing system that run by one guy name Patrick. Patrick is the name of the game and it is a bad game. He is the game changer for us. This guy would used his personal and unlisted phone to called us if he did not get their services money from the insurance on time. We would called him back, but never got thru to him. We would get over charged, double billed and he sent one of our double bill to collection agency. Collection agency called me tried to collect the money which was already paid in full. Luckily we saved our bill and paid by check. So we had enough with this place and this Patrick guy, enough is enough, so we made the move and to switched to different office. Patrick is very arrogance, ignorance, rude, and childish. I am not sure how he got this job in a professional level. I guessed he must suck his way up. read more

Me and my wife visited them for yearly check-up. It comes under preventive care and my insurance covers it fully. To do that they called us two times and first time the charged us fully saying that it was for new patient establishment. I don't know why that was necessary same thing could have been done in single visit. It is like getting $200 just for checking you height weight and couple of questions. I don't mind paying for office visit but they should have clarified it beforehand. I came to know about it once I got my bill. For my wife they charged office visit twice as she could not had her blood test on the same day. I don't know how it works and who is responsible for billing so don't know if the doctor or the office is bad. Despite this fact I like Dr Peter Hoffman, he is amazing. I moved to the area in July 2014, and did a lot of research on the local doctors before deciding on this office. I called and asked if they were accepting new patients, and stated I would like a check-up, which is covered 100% in my plan. Physical was great, I was healthy, just fat (shocking), I asked a few questions about some symptoms I had been having and he decided that I needed screened for adult ADHD, I never would have guessed. ADD maybe, but I've never been the hyper type. He sends me to a therapist friend of his to get a screening. We talk for 25 minutes, he tells me the doc was right, sends me on my way, and sends me a bill for $400. Great. Insurance covered half of that, but still! If only I made over $800 an hour... I call Doc, tell him the good (?) news, and he was actually free to see me the next day. I go in, we talk, and he prescribes me a month's worth of meds, and has me donate some urine. Turns out they send the urine to the most expensive laboratory on earth, because a week later I get a bill for $789!! Once again, insurance bites off most of it, leaving me with $175 less in my pocket. A month passes, I call for a refill, and he says he'd like to see me again to see how things are going, fine. When I show up, I wait about a half hour and he hands me a sheet of paper with 10 questions on it. "How often do you misplace things?" "Do you often find yourself sluggish?" - That sort of questionnaire. *eye roll* This goes on for another 2 months, and finally I'm given a little slack, and instructed to see him every 3 months. At the last visit in January I find out that I switched insurance at work unbeknownst to me, but I say that's fine, I'll pay out of pocket for this one. While I'm waiting, the receptionist hands me a bill (my first time seeing ANY bills from them by the way), and I owe almost a thousand dollars?! I tell her I have insurance, and that they need to send the bill their way, turns out this is AFTER insurance was billed. They charged me almost $300 for my first visit, which was supposed to be a check-up (yearly free preventative). But since I was a new patient that's apparently standard. Would have been great to know. They charged me $155-$209 for each visit, which is very strange because each visit was exactly the same. 30 minutes in the waiting room, 10 minutes waiting for the doctor, 5 minutes talking to the doctor, gone. My new doctor has the same regimen, only when I asked if he wanted to see me in a month, he laughed and said "Why would you need to come back in a month? Call me if anything changes, you're an adult." Good answer, Dr. Refreshing. The crazy part about those charges... When I had different insurance for my last visit, and paid out of pocket? $97. $97 dollars to pay out of pocket, cash discount. If I would have known that I would have paid cash every single time! So I wait for my official bill, since they were in the middle of switching to a company that handles payments. The first bill shows, its one price. Two weeks later another shows, it's a different (higher) price. Another two weeks passes and a third bill shows, it's the original price again. This continues happening for about 6-8 weeks until I get two bills in a row that match. I decided to pay it, get it over with, and be done with the company. ...That is until last week. I get a bill from them wanting another $175. Mind you at this point I haven't heard from, or visit the office since January 2015. They waited 18 months to send me another bill. They claim it's from my second to last visit, which happened to be the first week of January. The last visit was on one of the last few days of January, as he was full the following weeks. It makes sense to me that the insurance company rejected it, since I had new insurance on the 1st of the year. But did this bill just sit on someone's desk for 18 months? Was it being used to sturdy the break room table? I just don't understand how that amount of time could pass, while hearing absolutely nothing, then they have the cojones to tell me I owe them additional money. So long story long, I was a patient for less than 7 months and they managed to get about $2,200 out of me. 18 months later they decide that wasn't enough, and want another $175. I've been with the new doc for roughly 18 months and my out of pocket cost has been... I don't know, maybe $30? Poorly played, Hoff. Poorly played. *Edit* I forgot to mention that Dr. PH really was a friendly guy. Hes sincerely nice, gives you 100% of his attention, and was always nothing but smiles. I have no hard feelings towards him, just the way he runs his business. read more

I have had good experiences here with the medical staff, who are very attentive and helpful. My main complaint is with the front desk staff, they have to put you on hold for the simplest of questions or answer the wrong questions. They often have an attitude over the phone and/or come across as incompetent. I like my doctor here but am not sure I trust the administrative staff to know what they are doing in the slightest. read more

Today I came to my appt at noon, and discovered the clinic had moved to a different address.(thanks got it wasn't far away) After I checked in at the front desk and waited about 15 min, a nurse came to me and gave me a prescription to a vaccine. I mentioned that I was actually there to see a doctor, but she told me that "we thought you are here for the vaccine, so they removed you". I scheduled the appt three weeks ago and expected at least to be able to see a doctor. Thank you for the great service! I will definitely look for a different provider ! read more

I started going here to get my blood pressure under control. In the process of doing that, Dr. Hoffman has answered many other questions I had and has taken care of several of those issues during the same visit. The most surprising one was the Cortisone shot in my back to relieve back pain. This was an on the spot thing he did during a follow up appointment for my BP. Most doctors would have you schedule an additional visit. Everyone is professional and courteous from the lady at the desk to the nurses to the doctors. Glad I found this place. read more

This office exudes everything that is wrong with medical practices today. They run tests without telling you what they are, what they are for or asking you enough questions to actually figure out if the tests are necessary. When you call to get the results you have to leave messages which never get returned. They attempt to diagnose you by just throwing more pills at you rather than listening to your actual symptoms. After getting a bill for completely erroneous tests and calling in regards to that, the office manager, Rachelle, just tells you that Doctors need to run the tests they think necessary because patients can't be trusted to tell you the truth. "Doctors don't actually need to ask all the questions, because again, patients can't be trusted." Then because the office manager has run out of her scripted answers to respond she will hang up on you. I left a message for Dr. Hoffman, who is supposedly her boss, but haven't heard back. Which seems to be typical for the office. Horrible experience. I hope none of their patients ever actually get sick and need care. read more

Great physicians, but terrible office management. Like others have mentioned, I've waited 45 minutes almost every single time. Been told I needed to schedule follow up appointments just to go get my results-luckily I knew better. Made an appointment and due to me running 10 minutes late because of traffic, I was told I wouldn't be seen. Due to the sensitive nature of my appointment and the amount of times my appointment has been delayed you would think they would be more accommodating. Followed up with a lengthy email to the manager about how disappointing it was-will be looking for another care provider. I want to feel welcome and cared for in an environment where my health is actually a priority. read more
