The team of Ed and JP are solid as hell, dedicated to getting the best sound no matter what it takes, committed to their artists and, beyond compare, know what the hell they're doing. They took a touring band (us), got us focused, and pulled whatever hours (14 hours straight the first night) were needed to get the best sound and takes out of us. They worked with us almost as band members to make us as comfortable as possible while keeping focused on the end result. The result was a recording that I could not be more proud of. They offer a multitude of other services as well - repairs, rehearsals, mixing... Building itself is INCREDIBLE - clean and still feels "real". Just right for rock 'n roll or whatever you need done. We agreed as a band that we would be consistently utilizing Future Starz and now they will now be losing out on a considerable amount of revenue because of this.

This is not a review of the sound system or the set-up of Future Starz. It's a comment on their…read moremanagement. First of all, Starz requires a 48 HOUR cancellation policy. What?! A brain surgeon only requires 24hr notice. Having said that, I recently had a death in the family and some guys I play with called them to cancel and they refused to let us even though it was more than a day away. We explained to them there had a been a death and they didn't care. Obviously, we pulled our business and will never return. So, for the one cancellation charge they're going to lose thousands. Way to go guys! There are a couple of cool folks who work there but if I was you I would try Smacktone Studios in Totowa. It's closer to the city, the gear is good, and they don't shit all over you every chance they get. It's also CHEAPER! Make sure if you book a room at Future Starz no one dies that day.

Our band stumbled upon Media Blitz while searching for a new place to practice and we were all blown away by the quality of the equipment and the studios. No ancient amps, duct-taped and crappy microphone stands, drums, etc. All new stuff and the rooms clean and acoustically sound.
