Panoramic partial of room with slider door open to ocean. What a view!

My husband and I are staying in unit 336, 3rd floor, facing the ocean. I thought we had a balcony room. But oh no, THE WHOLE LIVINGROOM WALL retracts so that your livingroom is your balcony!! You can't get any cooler, figuratively or literally, than that! Very friendly check in staff and cleaning service. Full kitchenette with coffee maker, 2 burner stovetop, microwave, and fridge. Super clean, beautifully decorated. Can't wait to come back!

Everyone at the Resort was/is Amazing!! Pam and Robert are absolute Sweethearts and are very helpful. Anything you need, the staff is always friendly and willing to go the extra step The pool is beautiful with plenty of lounge chairs and seating. Chairs and umbrellas for the beach as well. This place was a little slice of heaven for my wIfe and I! 10 years of marriage was celebrated here. After convincing my wife we were staying in a roach motel surprise!!!!! I treated her to this beauty! I got the Ocean Side View accidentally. For my wife I wanted full Ocean ViEw. Sonya made it happen!! With her help and other friendly staff they got us a room witH full Ocean vieW. Room 115 was perfect. My wife was excited with the side view but the full view was what I wantEd for her. Easy access to the beach with private access made it perfect! We didn't want to leave! My wife collected a ton of sea shells adding a couple pounds to our suite case lol. Thank you Sonya and staff for making this a great end to oUr anniversary trip to Florida

Everything went well for our Memorial Day weekend. Had only one issue with a DVD remote and was assisted in the room by the staff for the remedy. Wasn't expecting managment to go to that degree to fix the problem! Sweet. Parking is the one bummer if you need two spaces. Only one space per room but really the alternate spaces are less walk that any gargantuan resort area options! Pick your poison: a. The 2nd floor has balconies with two chairs and a small table. (This is our preferred.) b. The ground floor may be easier access somewhat, but now you have peepers walking pass your living room!? c. Third floor only has sliding doors that open in the living room so your AC suffers. Poolside Ice machine is available. The two accesses to the beach are about a 10' drop of wooden stairs (that are in new condition) so prepare to tote yo' game to the sandy side of the property. The beach during our Memorial Day stay was not crowded at all. I don't think there is a strong local presence in this area of the beach. The refirg worked great, coffee pot with filters was nice and we didn't use the bagel toaster or either of the grills on the property.

The cutest hotel on the beach. Great service. All the staff was super friendly and all the rooms had everything you would need to feel right at home. Definitely recommending to everyone !

We enjoyed our short stay this past weekend at Tuckaway shores. Our first visit to this quaint resort was a truly pleasant experience. The room was clean and nicely decorated. This is a gem on the Melbourne shore. We already booked a return visit in July.

The rooms are always clean, the staff is always nice, prices are reasonable. My friends and I have been coming here for a number of years for a nearby event that happens in October. My main reason for going to the event is so I can enjoy some nice quality time here on the beach and enjoy the view from my room with the big panel doors open. Nothing beats waking up and seeing the sunrise on the water. Each ocean view floor has something different to offer; the first floor has a patio that you can just walk out to the beach from. This is the best option for those who plan on spending a lot of time on the beach. The second floor offers a balcony to enjoy sitting outside and enjoy the ocean air. The third floor, and the ones that usually sell out quickly, have a full view of the water with glass panel doors that completely open up and move out of the way to bring the beach inside your room! Need I say more?

Very interesting hotel. If you're looking for a non-standard experience with a locally-run hotel, you're going to love Tuckaway Shores. BE AWARE: -Since this is a smaller hotel, the lobby isn't open 24/7. I think they close at 9PM and open at 8AM. If you're departing or arriving outside of those hours, you need to call and make special arrangements. Pros: -Literally one-minute walk to the beach. Less than that if you feel like walking fast. We're talking "Look out your window and the beach is literally under your feet". -Gorgeous views. Very gorgeous. Hotel faces the ocean, though, so if you want sun photos, you'll need to shoot for sunrise. -Third floor room has a ton of gorgeous light and you can hear the ocean - even with all of the windows and doors shut. It has a full, pull-out balcony area that basically runs the entire length of the hotel wall. It makes it feel like you're basically "on" the beach. -Hotel really seems to care and is knowledgeable about local attractions. There are brochures in the lobby, and there's a binder of local attractions and numbers in it in your room. -Staff was super friendly. I asked some silly questions, and they were always happy to answer and didn't give me a hard time. They easily extended our stay an extra night as well. -Free internet works great. No problems. -Regularly do bug and pest control sprays. We had one come in (they do it twice-monthly) while we were here. No residual spray or scent. Glad to see they take things seriously. -Interior was super clean. Housekeeping did a great job. Never once was concerned about cleanliness. Everything was clean, and we were given quite a few new towels and items every day during our stay. -Private areas for the beach. You have a private beach entrance, a sand shower, free-to-use beach items including chairs and beach toys. The beach is surprisingly empty and intimate too. -Prices seem comparable to other hotels in the area along the coastline. -They also have a private, heated pool. The pool wasn't heated quite enough to compete with Florida winds and November temperatures, though. Pool was clean and seemed to have regular maintenance, though. -Parking is right at the hotel. I don't think they were at full occupancy, but we had no issue parking. Cons: -Bathroom is definitely small. There's only about room for a single person to stand, and you need to shut the door and walk around the door before you use the toilet. This is probably the worst thing about the entire room. -I'm not so fond of the interior design. It's very, very beach-like. I think I'd mind it a bit less if the bedding was beach-y too. I think I'm partial to white and crisp hotel bedding. -The air conditioning unit in the bedroom is noticeably loud. Not like "worst thing ever", but my partner is a bit of a light sleeper, and it bothered him. Didn't bother me, though. Luckily, the noise is unhearable in the living room area, so if need be, we could have used the fold-out sofa for sleeping. -Door uses actual standard keys. Not a huge-huge deal, but I really suck at keys. -It's not quite as "central located" as I'd like. It's about a five minute drive from most things. (Not a huge deal, but it's noticeable). However, there's a cafe that's just a mile walk along the beach, so it's a nice excuse to walk to dinner. Just expect to need to drive to get most other restaurants. However, the room does have a small kitchenette, so you technically don't need to eat out if you don't want to.

Fantastic mom and pop resort, peaceful, private, relaxing last minute get away from our S central FL home, better than we could have expected, beachfront, heated pool, parking, clean and qualify of the room, attention to detail like a 5 star hotel right down to the quiet closing cabinets and toilet seat! Green egg grill! Quality place awesome staff. Shopping and restaurants right down the street but still quiet, can hear the waves from the room, Our new go to for monthly beach fix. Stayed 2nd floor 212. Bar height chairs on the balcony

I absolutely can NOT wait to return. Seriously, if I could tomorrow I would! First, let's just talk about the staff. Everyone that we encountered at Tuckaway was beyond wonderful. They were polite, completely on top of things and just happy to be there. It was so refreshing. Second, the rooms. I will post pictures of our room. We were on the third floor. There is a giant sliding glass door that opens up. You can sit in your LIVING ROOM and it feels like you are right on the beach. I never closed my doors. It was so relaxing to hear the ocean right outside. There is also a kitchen complete with breakfast nook, full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and all of the pots and pans, plates and cups, forks and knives you need. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of storage space to keep all of our things out of the way. Our room was immaculate. And kept immaculate. We never had to ask for a thing. I honestly felt SO relaxed and refreshed after my trip here! There were 2 TVs but ours never got turned on. There is also a heated pool if you prefer that over the beach. Tuckaway also provides beach chairs as well as some toys for the kids to play with so you don't have to worry about buying/packing your own. Third, the beach is so nice. Not only is it gorgeous, but it's NICE. The sand is soft - not rocky. There isn't trash everywhere. And in fact, it's pretty secluded. This trip has made me fall in love with the Space Coast. I thought I was a Gulf Coast girl, but I am already hoping to plan another east coast Florida trip soon!

Tuckaway Shores is a great place to stay, either for your own "staycation" or when you have friends and family coming to visit. The rooms and entire facility are very clean and well maintained. In fact, they've won some sort of cleanliness award for the past 4yrs straight! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. This is NOT a roach motel, nor is it a party place. It is very family oriented and low-key. I recently rented a 3rd floor room for my son on his vacation, and they had 5 adults and 1 child in their group total. All other establishments wanted them to purchase 2 rooms, which would have basically doubled their costs during their vacation. Tuckaway Shores provided free air mattresses (2 total) for the other people to sleep on. We couldn't have asked for more. His room had the "Euro folding glass door system" and it was easy to operate and super cool to have your entire wall basically fold out of the way and turn into the balcony. The railing was sturdy, and I had no fears about my 4yo grandson plummeting to his death, or of ospreys swooping in to take him away. The kitchenette was fully stocked, with service for 4, and had a small fridge and microwave oven, perfect for stocking with and preparing their own food to help save money for when they went to visit The Mouse. The bathroom was split, with tub and toilet in one room and the sink and mirror in another. This made it easy for someone to shower while another in the party got ready. The location is great as well, a few miles out of the way (16mi from Cocoa Beach), but close enough to still enjoy easy access to I-95 to visit all the other attractions, and Downtown Melbourne... It also put them closer to Sebastian Inlet Park where they also spent a day being one with nature. All-in-all, for what they offer (price, cleanliness, amenities, facilities, location) they can't be beat.

Hanging out in our 3rd floor room, looking over the balcony.

We love Tuckaway! We have stayed here several times before, and this weekend it has been our honeymoon suite. The location is perfect, as it's in central Melbourne Beach, the staff is helpful and welcoming, and the charm of the room is why we keep coming back. Each room is a suite with a kitchenette, bathroom, living room and bedroom, each containing the perfect amount of beach decor. The space is not a nautical mess, and it is not a bare hotel. I feel as if I'm staying in someone's beach house! There's nothing like watching dolphins swim in the ocean as you're relaxing on the couch! Support this local business. You will thank yourself (:

Kim was kind enough that she showed us 3 other alternatives available and offered us a full refund if we didn't like any. Location - This hotel is located on a long strip of white, sandy beach between Cocoa Beach and Vero Beach. We loved that the resort sat right on the beach with rooms facing the ocean which allowed for breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Plenty of shopping and food choices are just up the road from this hotel and the Cocoa Beach area is not too far to the north if you are looking to do anything in that area. Rooms & Building - Rooms are all suites and are spacious. They reminded me of what you would find normally at an Embassy Suites. Each room offered a balcony that faced the ocean and the beach. The style and theme was modern nautical which fit the surrounding area. The room had a fridge and microwave and two bedrooms. The bathroom had a spacious rainfall shower. Amenities - The hotel has an outdoor pool & hot tub and large sun deck with multiple loungers. The pool was heated to a enjoyable temp and the hot tub had good jets. Access to the beach is just a short walk from the sun deck. You can purchase an umbrella and two chairs for $40 a day. Food - Like every Doubletree location, warm cookies are always available whenever you want. We were staying here during Valentine's Day and they offered a fun and creative date night menu. Food was good but it was a tad pricey. There was a pool bar that offered drinks and food. We liked the bucket drinks - great price and strong. Vibe - Easy going beach vibe from staff and customers. No complaints. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - This choice offers a great beach-centered hotel yet it is close enough for shopping, nightlife and food. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, so whether you are looking for a relaxing balcony or a sandy spot on the beach, this location offers a great choice for everyone.

The front door opened to a view of Indian river, So we got to see the sun set at our front door and the sun rise from our balcony. We even were lucky enough to catch a launch. Other than just steps away from the beach , they also have a pretty good size pool , hot tub and a tiki bar. I recommend bringing a couple of chairs for the beach, and save yourself a few bucks for chair rental. They also have a restaurant on the first floor. Breakfast is not included , even if you are a Hilton member. I was a little disappointed about that. But we did grab a burger and chicken sandwich , which were pretty good. The gym, on the first floor, near the pool, wasn't the biggest, but it had everything I needed and seemed fairly new! Loved it. Plenty of nice places to sit and work or wait for folks. Nice and dark out back for the turtles (and the stars!), and the live music was an excellent addition. The sunrise views were unmatched.
