Blinds do not stay closed. Someone has taped them shut. Really? Just fix it. !!

Still not super impressed. They screwed up my checkout. The door to the unit never did close properly unless one locked it. I loved the beach. The beach bar was great! Sea-grapes: if u want to order from the menu was excruciatingly slow! Two eggs over easy took 30 minutes. Clean place. Just not super well managed.

Pros: right on the beach Friendly personnel Clean Maintenance request attended promptly Housekeeping Cons: recent renovation is already showing wear and tear. Some equipment is still dated or out of service (ie ice machine on 8th floor) Ice machines and vending machines only on even numbered floors The pool/beach access restrooms could use hourly rounding as it gets dirty quickly.

Location is everything! All suites are front ocean view! Beach is right in front of the hotel a few steps away! No complimentary beach umbrella or chairs, that is Extra from an independent business! AC could be better and the filter is nasty and old that looks that it was not changed in a long time! No DO NOT DISTURB sign! So our beds were made and towels refilled without us requesting it! Shower water pressure is 2 out of 10! Extra charge for parking! But they compensate by complimentary cookies! Toilet flush we had to hold to work! Pool needs to be cleaned more often! Ton of sand and shells and color is murky! Our account was charged in many random amounts! But all front desk personnel were respectful and professional! Pool bar service could be better!

Let's start with the good. The hotel has great people working the front desk and as servers in the restaurant. They were attentive, courteous and professional. The views of the beach and ocean are beautiful. Now to the bad. It feels like the management of this hotel and restaurant have given up. There's dirt on the floor, paint peeling off the walls, rust everywhere, and the restaurant's menu reminds me of something you'd see in the 90s. Do the owners care? It doesn't seem like it. This hotel is mediocre in every sense. From having to walk around the empty restaurant that takes up the entire lobby in order to get to the rooms, to the mediocre food in the hotel restaurant, to the porch door that so clearly needed to be oiled, to the dirty hallways, to the peeling paint, to the room light that won't turn on with the switch. This hotel screams mediocrity. Maybe Hilton is fine with mediocrity since the rooms are booked - it's a hotel on the beach, after all. But it has so much more potential. It's a shame. The ugly. The hotel room had stains on the carpet, stains on the couch, the door to the patio was so hard to open, I can't imagine a retired couple staying here. But the worst part was the stairwell to the parking lot. It was filled with trash, screws on the stairs and floor, and a rotting chicken bone to boot. This hotel severely impacts the way I view the Hilton brand.

Great stay. I stayed at this location only because I stayed here some 30 years ago when I started traveling for work. Now that I am retired, I thought that it word be nice to visit again. I was not disappointed. The hotel has a few signs of age, but the room was clean and recently updated. Everything worked great. The balcony was awesome to sit and relax, which I did for hours. It is nice to open the front door and have a wonderful breeze. Plus the view out the front is also fantastic. Combine all of that with a great night sleep and you can't go wrong.

My room was ready early after a long day of travel! The views are spectacular! Room was clean! Went to Rio's ocean front at the hotel to eat and it was delicious! I will definitely come back!

One of my favourite place a place where I go to get my peace. Checked in on 12/3/21 - checked out 12/5/21. They have a restaurant called Sea Turtle and the staff is so friendly. On Saturday my waitress was "Megan" and on Sunday my waitress was "Bella". They provided the best customer service we could ever ask for. The breakfast was amazing very fresh and good. The coffee was hot and so refreshing. I will be coming back very soon to stay there again.

There was a BUG crawling on me in bed on June 8th 2022 in room 523. Squashed and thought it looked like a fruit fly, so I ignored it and went back to sleep. The next morning I found another of the same bug, so apparently this place is infested. The bug does not fly, so these necessarily crawled their way up and live there. Management did nothing to compensate me. Will not be staying here ever again.

We haven't stayed here in 4 years and many things have changed. The killer ocean views remain and the rooms have been updated, but the little things are still missing. Lots of challenges in room 304 that show little care and lack of great upkeep. We arrived during Covid to a sealed room that smelled fresh. We still did a quick minor reclean to assure all were safe. The employees all had proper PPE however many visitors did not especially in the halls, pool area, and bar. It was also FULL capacity for this weekend. The employees did not address the guests without in common areas specifically Check in was 4pm (seemed late) and room was NOT ready early. The room itself had several damaged and ill maintained items that could easily be fixed. Broken window treatment, water damaged/rotting door for fridge, toilet paper holder falling off wall, poor water pressure, and a couple errant goldfish crackers from last visitor that were missed. We also had a neighbor that appeared to smoke marijuana which came into our room. When your paying full price, you should have better service and a well maintained property. That's still the challenge. Luckily we still have those killer views and fresh cookies. It will likely be our last visit to this hotel specifically.

This is just after the Hilton employee had a lengthy conversation with the guest who was not wearing a mask.
    Christopher W.

We chose the Hilton Doubletree because we had heard that Hilton takes the safety of me, my family, my parents seriously and enthusiastically enforces the wearing of masks. This is untrue. As evidenced by my recent trip to the Pantry where I witnessed a man, his wife and their child check-in all without wearing masks and not being asked to wear masks. HILTON DOES NOT CARE IF THEY KILL YOU. In asking the gentleman at the front desk (pictured) whether they inform maskless guests in the hotel of the Hilton's requirement to wear masks, he merely said that signs were posted, and thanked me for bringing this to his attention. I responded that, as I had witnessed him checking-in maskless guests and shaking hands/half-hugging other friends/guests of Hilton that I informed him of nothing he didn't already know, he responded with a shrug, I responded with, "You just don't care. You don't care about my life, my safety, nor the lives and safety of my family, which earned another listless shrug. If Hilton can't be trusted to follow their own rule regarding masks, HILTON CAN NOT BE TRUSTED to follow other rules like having employees wash their hands after wiping human excrement from their anuses not to keep meat at safe temperatures. WE were fooled by Hilton's dishonest lying PR and marketing machine; you don't have to be, you are now warned, so you can stay safe. We thought that, with a mask mandate, we could be reasonable safe on this trip. I feel very, very far from safe here at Hilton. Hilton's lesson to all; IT IS UNSAFE TO STAY AT HILTON; they only care about getting your money today...if you survive the reprocussions of you visit, they can deal with trying to re-earn your trust later...IF you and yours survive the reprocussions of you say at a Hilton property. (The family checking-in was one of 7 adult groups I encountered in one 10-min round trip from my room to lobby and back; only one of the seven was wearing masks. What really bugs me is the sneakiness of it all; lie to me to get my money; renig on your promise, endangering me, my family, MY AGING PARENTS, all to make a little money...)

We needed a little getaway and specifically chose this hotel based on three essential things: Ocean/Beachfront location, Suite large enough to spread out and relax, and third the detailed list of COVID-19 precautions the Hilton is promoting. And the price was right. The app provides a good bit of information on checking-in as well as local restaurants. The check-in through the has just a few flaws. - while it offers you your room assignment, if you have never been to the hotel, you have no way of knowing whether the room is in the North or South wing. - if you have multiple family members, you can log into the same account on the app but not access the same digital key So, you still have to come into the lobby. And online checking also means you miss out on the warm chocolate chip cookies. Most of the hotel interior seems to have recently undergone a renovation. The suite itself was spacious and nicely done. The textured tile floor in the shower is a non-slip idea. However, there were a few challenges. The USP ports above the nightstand don't function, the clock was plugged into one of the two outlets but was so big it blocked the other outlet. It was surprising that the coffee maker, which was detailed on the list of high touch items cleaned, was missing the only removable part. The tray that holds the pod to brew was missing, and despite one visit to the front desk and one request when we received a text checking on our stay, we never got one. The biggest problem for us was the lack of enforcement of the stated mask policy. With outside access to the elevators, we continuously ran into people with no masks. People were always coming off of the elevators with no masks. On one occasion, we arrived in to find three maskless teenagers sitting on the chairs outside the elevator playing games on their phones as they charge. Probably most annoying was while going down for morning coffee, a woman walked right up, past a staff member, and served herself coffee. When I commented to the staff member, he chuckled and walked away. The hotel has a great location, and the rooms renovations are beautiful. I just wish they were a bit more responsive and followed their published policies.

Free breakfast (really yummy), free wifi, free parking. All suites, and consistent style from one property to the next which is great because I like knowing I will sleep in a good bed at a hotel! The beds are super comfortable. They provide tea and a microwave for hot water, which can prove very important when you need your chamomile at night after a stressful day. The best part of this Residence Inn were the staff. From the front desk wonderful Shana, who welcomed us with a smile after a 4 hour drive in traffic, to the friendly ladies working to clean the rooms, to Ana, letting me know the best parts of breakfast service and providing me with fresh wonderful coffee. Shana at front desk went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our stay. She was very kind to my parents, making sure my dad knew where to get his espresso in the morning and she deserves a shout out for being so professional and continuing to make Marriott properties look good. I am not exaggerating when I say it was so strong that my wife, my youngest child, and I began feeling sick. Maintenance attributed the issue to the roof and the storm. Their initial solution was to pour something down the drain and tell us to give it time. We then spent roughly four hours after check-in waiting for a solution before finally being moved around 11 PM. The replacement room was significantly smaller. We were told we were receiving "$30 off" our nightly rate, but in reality we were simply charged the standard rate for the smaller room and given free breakfast. We specifically booked this hotel for the Presidential Suite and would not have paid the rate we did for the room we ultimately received. What made it worse was the staff's lack of concern. There was little urgency and no meaningful apology. If the hotel's nicest room develops an odor severe enough to make guests sick whenever it rains, that is a serious problem. Easily the worst experience I have had at a Hilton. I would not recommend this hotel.
