We had high hopes at the beginning, but in the end we were so disappointed with this company…read more Lee presented as a professional, knowledgeable tree guy, and although we had a big job for him, he assured us that he would complete it and clean it up all in one day. Well, here we are two and a half months later, and he still hasn't finished the clean up despite multiple promises to do so (before and after the work was done), and despite being paid in full. Also, he did not disclose to us that his crew is actually small in number, so he hired ten or more day laborers to do a lot of the work. It's unlikely that we would have used someone else for the job just because of this, but he really should have disclosed in advance that he was bringing a large number of men he didn't know to work on our property. Much to our surprise, the day laborers were the better workers assigned to our property. His actual crew don't get along (per Lee), and they spent the entire day bickering and cussing at one another. Furthermore, the guy Lee left "in charge" while he was absent (yes, he does not stay on site the whole time that the work is being done) was a total jerk. He yelled and cussed at my husband repeatedly, as well as everyone else working on the site the entire time. We thought long and hard about firing them right then and there, but when Lee finally showed up and assured us that he would handle the situation, we decided to let them finish with both of us staying in the house to avoid the unpleasant working environment. Finally, while Lee was absent, his crew cut several tree limbs off of an oak tree that was not one of the trees to be worked on per our agreement, and without our permission. It's hard to find a reputable tree professional in this day and age, but ultimately this company was a bust. Do yourself a favor, and pass this one by.

My neighbor wanted to have a huge Magnolia tree cut down and a large Oak tree trimmed. My husband…read moreasked them if they would have the company that they pick to include trimming three of our palm trees. LeeSouthern Cuts Tree Services gave an estimate of $50.00 per palm. That's the average price in our area so we went ahead with them. They arrived on time the day that they were scheduled and did a nice job trimming the two palms that are about 25 feet high. They left a palm frond touching the roof on the smaller palm. You can't have palm fronds touching the roof because it brings bugs and if there is a storm it beats the heck out of your shingles. I though that it was odd that a professional company left a palm frond hitting the roof so I Yelped and Googled them. The company did not show up so I dug further and found out that the phone number and Lee were listed as LJ's Tree Service. Looks like the company changed the name. The reviews from LJ's Trees are pretty bad.

I have used this company before, so they were my go to company when my 30' Norfolk Pine died over…read morethe winter this year. From the first phone call to the tree removal was less than 5 days! My home is a rental property and Dave remembered me from the previous work he did. He really looked after my interests and sent me photos from the initial walk, right through the day of work. Dave came out within about 2 hours of my first phone call on Monday, sent me pics of all everything I needed done. I needed the Pine removed, and my other trees trimmed as the limbs were all growing onto the roof. I received photos along the way, the team is professional, they use professional equipment, and sent me the document I needed for the HOA to take the tree down as an emergency. As they have arborist's on staff the letter is acceptable to the state for the emergency removal requirements. Dave and his crew are really great, really friendly! Office is great as well.
