I had a great experience with TW for about 6 months. Then they started running a promotion for the holidays and this is when I'm pretty sure they watered down their sema/tirz drastically because some of the symptoms after weekly injections were completely gone! No weight loss either. I decided to stop spending my money after paying for 3 months of watered down injections. Staff is usually decent in the front. The providers that offer the follow ups are great. Everything is super expensive as it is that I will not return or recommend anyone here for this reason of throwing away your money for watered down injections. Last thing when prefilled syringes are given to you they also prefilled with a lot of bubbles and not enough sema/tirz that you end up injecting less medication! Beware to check these things out before you pay. Or maybe just maybe they read this and do better fingers crossed. read more

Privacy Concern Based on My Experience with a Tucson Wellness MD business partner I'm writing this review based on my own firsthand experience with a contract partner at Tucson Wellness MD. On multiple occasions, I observed an independent contractor who rents space at the facility and participates in certain programs--viewing what appeared to be sensitive information on her ipad. She also told me directly that she had access to the clinic's medical record system. To my knowledge, she is not a licensed medical provider or employee of the clinic. When I brought these concerns to the attention of clinic leadership, I was informed that she was not authorized to access patient records. Due to the seriousness of this issue, I filed a formal complaint with the appropriate oversight body. I am a previous 5-star reviewer of Tucson Wellness MD. But I feel the need to give a 1-star rating now for the following reasons: - Relatively recent turn-over this year with their staffing has led to a staff that is prone to condescension and general unhelpfulness. - When asking for help with some light nausea I was experiencing, I talked to a nurse practitioner that was one of the rudest and patronizing health care workers I've ever has the misfortune of speaking with. Despite having NO record for taking an anti-nausea drug continuously, she essentially treated me like a junkie drug-seeker for simply asking for relief. She obsessed over the cause (medication dosage), while completely rebuffing the idea of relieving my symptoms in the here-and-now. Now, if a smoker had lung cancer, would you say, "You need to stop smoking, and if that doesn't cure your cancer, THEN we can start chemo." No. Your oath obligates you to help people with symptoms wherever they're at in life. Also, this place is called Tucson WELLNESS MD, not Tucson Suck-it-up-because-I-hate-prescribing-things-even-though-that's-literally--the-point-of-becoming-a-nurse-practitioner MD. If one loathes synthetic medication and the prescribing of it, it's very easy to move to Sedona and start one's own Essential Oils business. Or perhaps it's because my Hispanic last name suggests I'm somehow more prone to abusing medication with ZERO potential for abuse? Hard to say. Either way, I've paid Tucson Wellness MD thousands of dollars only to be treated like a desperate Anti-Nausea drug addict (which do not actually exist, believe it or not). Please note that I am NOT saying that the staff here is discriminatory or racist simply because I have a Hispanic last name and I had the sheer AUDACITY seeking help on the "wrong side of town." BUT, I have my doubts as to whether or not I would have received the same amount of scrutiny had I been a certain type and class of person that does live in the vicinity of Sabino Canvon Now, if this NP had valid concerns about drug interactions, she did not tell me how they applied to me. She simply acted like prescribing anti-nausea drugs deserved the same hyper-intense scrutiny as Oxycontin or a permanent Dilaudid drip. And when she finally agreed to give me 10 pills - which I had to basically had to BEG for - she acted like she was doing me a HUGE favor for even doing this. She also did NOT forget to remind me that she would make an exception just this once, and implied I should never ask again. To conclude, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Tucson Wellness MD anymore to anyone whose surname or appearance suggests they are from a marginalized group. They will likely treat you like they're doing a favor by simply helping you, if they even do at all. Instead, do yourself the favor of seeking treatment online or on your own side of town (where they probably think that you belong, anyway). Made an appointment to inquire about the pros and cons of HRT/diet and nutrition, and help with muscle loss/gain. They sent me a long questionnaire to fill out and insisted that I download an APP. Turns out none of that was needed. Naomi seemed confused as to why I was there, appears to have not read my answers, told me I didn't need the APP after all, and about 5 minutes later I was out the door. What a waste of $50. This place doesn't take insurance. You are responsible for submitting a claim to the insurance, but 100% of the time it doesn't work. They leave out CPT codes, not charging the line item for the correct CPT code, missing procedure codes. I've called them numerous times to fix these issues and no response. Was told the office manager would have to call me back. Kayla the office manager ended up calling me back and stating they are unable to fix these issues and the customer is responsible . Great customer service. Very efficient at making appts in timely manner. They are accommodating they were able to see my husband and I together to save us a time and a trip as we live far away. Walked in for first appointment. Worker and patient not wearing a mask. When I asked about it she flippantly said "I have my reasons". I felt that since CDC recommends masks, since this is a medical office, they should set a good example. If they are sloppy for this, they could be sloppy and not follow guidelines for procedures etc. So I walked out the door and never started their services.
