meat being cooked in a commercial kitchen
    Catie C.

You're not gonna get servers walking around with skewers here. This joint is pretty much self service which I don't mind one bit. The way it works is pay by the pound - 5.50. The sirloin is phenomenal. It's juicy and tender. Dry rubbed with not too much salt so you can still taste the flavor of the meat. I also like how they rubbed a hint of cinnamon to their roasted pineapple. The chicken is a bit dry tho. The dude in charge of the grill said it's better to go during lunch because there are more selections and much busier. With that said, I must trek here again and give it another whirl.

Loved this place! It was so much cheaper eating here than at the overpriced sit-down churrascarias. Eating here is simple: 1. Tell them whether you want the salad bar with meat or just the meat. (Tip: It's cheaper to get the salad bar option.) 2. Pick out what you want. The meat selection is sizeable for a smaller restaurant. 3. Take your plate up to the counter, where they weigh it for you and give you a little piece of paper to keep track of what you've consumed. 4. Consume. (Magical!) 5. Peep inside the dessert case. (The flan is to die for!) 6. Pay up at the cash register. 7. As you leave, figure out how soon you can come back to experience it all over again. Parking: Park in the municipal lot across the street (behind the shops and bowling alley.)

This was supposedly the house salad....

Ordered delivery and the portions were super small and not what the image showed. Very disappointed.

Two quick updates on reviews others have left (as of 3/6/11); 1) It's no longer BYOB since they've received their liquor license. 2) They charge $6.99/lb of food Note: Despite what Yelp says, it IS FULL BAR. It looks like the restaurant needs to be flagged as having a full bar by more people in order to change the Yelp description above. This is a pretty cool restaurant we'll certainly revisit. You walk into a small buffet area with two side stations and a meat station (hand carved). Seat yourself, place your drink order, and then go grab a plate and help yourself. The food was really good - we focused on the meats and skipped most of the sides but did at least try most of them, which were all fresh and well prepared. We felt a bit rushed at the meat section (two gentlemen making cuts off the barbecue) which might have been my only complaint. The beer selection is 'ok' - they have a pretty generic selection of the usual domestics and their craft beer selection was an ok-IPA (spacing on the name) and the Sam Adams seasonal (ok, technically a craft beer). They did a good job keeping the beer flowing, too. The bill before tip, for four people with drinks, came to $75. Not bad considering the unhealthy amount of food we ate.

    DEEEEEEELICIOUS!

If you're going for dinner, don't eat lunch! I love Tudo Na Brasa! It's a great, borderline hole in the wall style place. The staff is SUPER nice and the guy that's the usual meat cutter is super friendly, informative, and will get you exactly what you're looking for! I love the kielbasas and brisket! The bacon wrapped chicken is a favorite among my friends. The sides are awesome as well. I have no idea what the names of things are, but there's a yellow veggie (fried?) rice that's AWESOME. OH, and if they have the sweet potatoes, get them! All the meat is so juicy and delicious! My co-workers and I salivate all day just thinking about going here after work!! Insider tip: Don't be shy! If you're like me and don't enjoy fat on your dinner, ask for lean cuts. They will make sure they cut you a piece without fat OR they will trim it for you.

An outdoor patio with pretty pink flowers and its own branded vehicles. Beep beep. I tried their Prex Fixe lunch menu for just $22 and I felt like I was robbing the place. You get a salad, pasta and choice of dessert. I went with the Caesar, bolognese, and donut holes (zeppole). My bartender, Alexis, made the best recommendations, a great conversationalist, and was quick to the punch when my beer was running low. The bread spread started out HOT. Came out warm with red pepper flakes, parmigiana, and pure olive oil. I poured that cheese right in the oil with 2 spoons of peppers to dip that delicious, airy focaccia into. The salad was perfectly dressed with a bread crumb and bacon topping with your choice of anchovy on top. I'd highly recommend if you're hesitant, nice and vinegary and not too salty nor fishy. Came with a pepperoncini on the side as well. Bolognese sauce was rich, a tad creamy, with delicious meat you can actually taste and see! Some bigger chunks of meat made me feel special and not what I'm used to in a bolognese, but definitely not complaining. Make sure to have any bread left handy to scoop that last little sauce up with. Last but certainly not least, holy moly those Zeppole! Words can't describe how good these are. Crisp outside with a fluffy inside made my dreams come true. The dip was like a coconut whipped cream/ meringue. Whole thing was money bags, yo. I highly recommend this restaurant and the prex fixe lunch menu! Absolutely blew my socks off. Can't wait to come back for a dinner and lunch again soon. Try it out or you are not cool ;)

The quality of service, food, drinks, atmosphere were all very good. Turnover here is also very good, as there was no wait for an almost-full restaurant at 7pm on a Friday evening. Drinks were flavorful, but strength seemed a bit inconsistent. My Patriot's Pour, a bourbon drink, seemed a wee bit stronger both in flavor and perceived alcohol than the martinis we were served. The ice cube with the restaurant's name in it was a nice touch. Our dinners all came out at the same time and were, as mentioned, enjoyable. I did notice that the counter in front of the kitchen, where dishes are placed waiting for pickup, seemed to have more plates on it than the could be under the heat lamps. Hopefully folks' dinners weren't inconsistent in temperature. My Thai salmon was done the way I like it, firm and crispy. Parking outside is ample as well, there were several spaces free near the entrance at any time. They do a good job all-around here.

I honestly can't think of another restaurant that captures the essence of Northern Italian cuisine at this level. Every single dish we ordered was exceptional. My advice: go family-style so you can share and experience as much of the menu as possible. The tortellini was outstanding, the pasta with the brandy cream sauce was unforgettable, and the short rib was absolutely phenomenal. Not a single dish missed, and there wasn't one thing we wouldn't order again. To top it all off, the chef came over to our table at the end of the meal to say hello--a thoughtful touch that made an already incredible experience even more memorable. I would put this restaurant up against anything I've had in Italy, and without question, it's the best Italian restaurant in the Boston area. The most surprising part? I don't understand some of the hate in the reviews. Looking for a nice restaurant while we were in…read morethe area, we almost passed on Tre Monte because of the negativity. However, the bartender at another place said that it would be the place he would go, and I've learned that the recommendation of a bartender is worth more than any amount of reviews on Yelp. We showed up just at opening, sans reservations, on a Saturday evening (12/7). There was already a line at the door, which is a good sign about the food, but we wondered if we would be able to get a table. The fear was unfounded, as the hostess graciously showed us to a table and dropped menus. Our server, Christina, took our drink order, and was very apologetic that they didn't have onions for Bestie's gibson. No worries - olives work just as well. She came back with our cocktails, recited the specials, and we asked her to give us time to enjoy our drinks; we'd flag her down when we were ready to order. The menu is a great selection of Italian cuisine, balanced with a few standards. We took our time with our cocktails (the martinis were perfect, by the way) and Christina came right over when asked her about wines. She apologized for us not having a wine list, and returned immediately with one (some excellent bottles in their cellar, and a great selection by the glass). Bestie decided right away on the Shrimp Gran Manier [sic], egg-battered shrimp in an orange-flavored sauce, as an appetizer. I fell in love with the Melazana, breaded eggplant with marinara and cheese, covered in a creamy pesto sauce. For entrees, I picked a simple sauteed chicken, covered with prosciutto and cheese, while the rack of lamb caught her fancy. Christina came right over when we were ready to order, and congratulated us on our choices. We were able to watch the kitchen as they worked. Both of us, having a lot of experience in the industry, marveled at how well the staff worked together in the tiny space. It wasn't long before our appetizers arrived, and they were as delicious as they sounded on the menu. As soon as Christina cleared the empty plates away, she returned immediately with our entrees (which we saw were plated just as she headed to the kitchen area). Bestie's lamb was perfect. She had a choice of two sides, and she picked an herbed polenta and grilled vegetables. I accompanied my chicken with a gratin of potatoes, and sauteed spinach with garlic. We took our obligatory pictures and dug in. Needless to say, there was no conversation while we ate, with the food taking all of our attention. Bestie's lamb was cooked perfectly, with a generous portion, My chicken was flavorful, with the right balance between the sauce and the meat (I have a love/hate relationship with cheese - I like a lot of it, but not when it overpowers what's under it). To finish things off, we ordered coffee and cannolis, something light to balance the richness of the dinner. Both were delicious. When it came time to settle our check, Christina was right over. I am so glad that we listened to the bartender and not the reviews. Our experience here was the highlight of our weekend in this area.
