As other reviewers mentioned they sometimes change you more per pound (if you're paying per pound) if you have "more meat than buffet items." I tried to balance out my plate to be half and half and scored the 14.49 rate but if the staff thought I had too much meat I would have paid 19.99 per pound instead. lol. Otherwise I was a fan, the meat was tender juicy and flavorful (especially the steak) and the buffet items were really good as well (polenta and fried plantains were standouts) The wait staff were just okay, my waitress was just standing near the front and I tried to get her eye contact but that didn't work so when the manager came by to check on me (she didn't) I asked him if he could send her to pay. Despite the crowd, we were seated in about 20ish minutes. We did the per pound option instead of AYCE and that's what most folks were doing. The structure of this restaurant is kind confusing, so remember to tell the host that this is your first time dine in with them, so they can explain the rules and what is going on. Our family (4 of us) has been going to Mineirão almost every week since they opened and this last week the experience was not good... Upon looking at the check I noticed that 2 of our 4 plates were charged a different price per pound (50% more). When I asked I was told it was because it had more meat than everything else this is nowhere to be mentioned or said anywhere. Also our daughters had almost no meat on their plate and were not charged less for not having any meat -- talk about double standards! I got takeout and the order was easily done over the phone (I don't think their website works too well and I don't want to deal with all the Doordash Grubhub stuff) and the receptionist was very friendly. Since this is a Brazilian steakhouse and it's best if you eat there, I was expecting the meat to be dry if you get takeout. But I was pleasantly surprised because not only were the meat not dry, they were not overly salty nor burnt either like other steakhouses I've ordered from. So I can imagine how great the food would taste if you eat there. All the sides were very tasty, even the rice. We ordered the Churrasco Misto with a side of Tropeiro's Beans (this was my least favorite out of the sides because it was just a tad dry and not as tasty as it looks), the potato salad, and yucca fries (so yummy and addictive). Just wish that there were more meat choices (with a tad more seasoning on the meats) or offer sauces that come with the meal and it will be perfect. Let's start with the end of our late lunch first. As my wife and I were leaving, there was a group of about 10 Portuguese speaking people standing in a circle outside the door. My wife opened the door and had to immediately step to her right to avoid them. It was a 55 degree night and she's pregnant, but it had been raining. Before I knew what happened, she's slipped and skidded on her left knee. We were lucky she only jacked up her leg and bled all over her jeans. They have a rubber walkway directly in front of the door, but I tested where she stepped after she fell, and it's like an ice slick. The rest of the experience was just kind of annoying. We were seated and just waited there for instructions. The waitress brought our drinks and we were like "do we order? Do we just go up?" It was confusing because some people had the green and red cards and some didn't. So we went up to the buffet and it's chaos. It didn't help that this tall guy who works there just decided he can cut in front of everyone because I guess he was on break. The garlic steak was dry, same with the chicken and bacon. We liked the sirloin steak and the red dipping sauce. Not sure the Caesar salad had any dressing. Also, if you speak Portuguese, you'll get great service. We just got ignored. The prices weren't terrible, though. Oh, and you get these tickets after they weigh your food. You're supposed to know to bring them back to your table and eventually a server will come around for you to pay. Maybe post some instructions somewhere. read more

Interesting setup - the pricing is confusing for English only speaking clients. It took a little bit of trial and error but we finally figured it out. You either pay a flat price of $45/adult or $20 for kids up to 11 years old for the all you can eat buffet (some desserts excluded) or you pay by the pound at about $12/lb (if the plate is more than half meat, then it's $17/lb) . If paying by the pound , then you have to weigh your food with the cashier , he/she will give you an invoice where your server will tally up the total later . Phew ! The price is really reasonable for such a Brazilian steakhouses & meat lover as me. OMG the salmon is soooooo damn good I wish it can be served everyday and I L O V E the pichanha (top sirloin? I really wish I can spell and pronounce the name of all the meat but I really can't... which makes it hard for me to ask the waiter for meat every time lol) . All the waiters are so nice and the great atmosphere. The only thing is that the food go clod really quick and cold meat doesn't taste that good as when they are piping hot... They don't take reservations so it's a first come first serve basis, a table for 2 on a Friday night was about 15-20 minutes which surprisingly was good given the fact that the entire restaurant was packed. They have a hot station as well as BBQ'd meats. You can opt to do AYCE or weigh by the pound. The staff is friendly, but the service is quite slow and there isn't much variety and cuts in terms of meat. The food was bland, buffet not so hot, the Bbq beef and chicharrones dry/hard, Salmon had a couple of bones, and there was a bone on my plate, perhaps from the beans. I did enjoy the beets and the plain white rice! For the table side service, most meats were well done, dry, and also lacked flavor (lack of salt) with the exception of the picańa, which I enjoyed after adding salt. The lamb was horrible, as was the grilled cheese, very cheap and overly squeaky! The one other thing I enjoyed was the spicy chorizo.
