We were so excited for the idea of tuff sheds. I had researched a ton of different barns through different companies and decided Tuff Shed was the way to go. We went and met with Jeff, who was super nice. We ordered our barn and lean to. Our barn room was raised a foot to accommodate for the lean to. We took this as the lean to was going to be as tall as the barn...it is not. We ordered the lean to for hay storage. If we knew the height would not be what we though, we would have gone with a full shed to accommodate for more hay. The day before the barn and lean to were supposed to be delivered, our documents we were supposed to sign had the wrong address. I called and emailed to make sure the address change was noted. Both Kim and Jeff said it was and that the barn would be delivered to the correct address. I showed up before our appointment and the crew was not there yet (which was fine because I was early). At the time of the appointment, I received a call from the crew saying they were there but they were not. I asked where they were and they gave me the old address. I gave them the new one (which luckily was only 3 mins away) and they came over. When they were putting the barn together, they were not sent with the correct trim to accommodate the new height of the barn so they said they would have to come back (which was annoying but I don't blame the builders). They finished quickly and the product looked fine (a few holes where the trim was going to cover). I emailed Jeff to ask him to help me schedule time for trim to be installed. On the scheduled day, the four corners of trim were installed, however, they didn't bring enough to finish it. I emailed Jeff again to ask when they planned on the trim being complete. He then scheduled with my spouse. On the day of the trim install, my spouse waited and waited but no one ever came. I emailed Jeff again and let him know. I heard back the day of and Jeff said that the installer would be out today. I let him know that wouldn't work because gates were locked and no one was home. Jeff said the installer would call me. The installer called me and said it was fine no one was home as he was fine hoping over the fence. I told him I wasn't comfortable with this and would be home around 6. He said he would be there then. He was late due to another job. When he arrived he said "I showed up on Monday and realized I had completed this job (which he hadn't), so I left." He never called to ask or even bother to ring the doorbell to check. He also let me know he was in no hurry to go home so he would take his time. The final product is nice. I wish the lean to was taller like we thought it was going to be. I just think that the whole experience was a huge mess that could have gone way better. All in all, the product turned out well. read more

Just got my shed yesterday... It's a chicken coop actually! I came in a week ago and sat down with Kim. She was great. I told her my very basic needs. I think she had hoped I had a better idea of what I wanted/needed . In 20 min I knew exactly what I wanted and needed with her help. I went ahead and placed my order and waited to hear back when I would be getting it. The next day she called just like she said she would... And said that they started on my shed and it will be delivered and built 6 days later. Perfect! I prepped the site... Lots of gravel and clearing. It's as level as I could make it. I got a call the day before to say when they would be coming... Morning or afternoon. They (3 guys) showed up in the 2 hour time frame they gave me and were patient while I let them in and took down hot wire to let them in the site. They got right to work. I own a small farm with a bunch of goats, a few cows and two LGDs all of which can be annoying to say the least. These guys were patient despite the shananigans. They had to sho them some and I did a bunch of sho-ing too. Those poor guys. Lol A few hours later they were done and touched up the paint nicely and even gave me a little to touch up if I so see fit... Which it looks great now but in the future I will want that paint matched. They hug out with my goats while I signed some paperwork. They were all very nice to my special needs goat who thinks she needs to be in the way. She loves to be held and they pet her and held her. It was sweet. Very Happy with the building and how great the installers were with how annoying my animals were. read more

TUFF SHED arrived a few days early and built us an amazing shed! BOB and SCOTT were amazing builders and worked thier butts off in 106° heat ... I was impressed to see a work ethic that matched my own! They listened to all my specifications and produced them perfectly! I enjoyed them very much ... I did have a little bit of a fiasco with billing , but it was taken care of and made right .. I also would like to thank Rose for her amazing work on her end , being new ,she had to produce an exact shed with quite a few abnormal specifications, she nailed it... this is an easy 5 star review .. Edit: We bought a Tuff Shed over 10 years ago and really liked the design and durability of it so when we were adding a barn shed to our property, we again chose to go with them as they were in the same price range as other quotes and could have it built in a day. We originally chose the Premier Barn style in a 10 X 12 size and paid the half required to get it installed a few weeks later based on our time frame. A week later we changed our minds and moved up to one size bigger. 12X14. Jeff said no problem as we were still a few weeks out. I wish he would have mentioned if we go to 16', we would get a solid wall....We heard that after the fact. Install day: They came around 9:30 to 10am. The quality of the lumber seemed rough at best. #2 grade but a lot of flaws. The doors were wrong and had none of the silver lining on them and the siding on the doors does not have the same grooves the rest of the barn has. Bob told us he never has installed a Premier with the silver lining on the inside of the doors but we showed him our other one and he said "good luck at getting it" as he has not seen it in his time there. Once the barn was built, and they left, I made a few emails and my husband called Dee. She said it was supposed to have the silver lining and we scheduled them to come out the following week. She also told us not to paint the doors and that they would replace them. The next week they came out but with only the silver lined sheets and not the complete doors. We had painted the barn and left the doors alone upon their instructions. They (Bob) took one sheet and cut it but turns out it was not the correct one. You see, the inside of these double doors are not the same size so one sheet was for one side and the other was for the the other side but he mixed them up and cut them wrong. He installed one and then blamed someone else for giving him the wrong size of sheet but he in actuality cut the wrong one and did not own up to it. This brings us to the 3rd day of them coming out. This guy was great! He fixed the other side of the door and did an inspection as he was concerned other things may have been done incorrectly too. He said the nail gun settings were wrong from the looks of it. A lot of nails were sticking out from the wall and we had to hammer them in. There was a chip in the corner of the floor but it is small so we chose to live with that as well as the wrong textured siding on the outside of the door. I'm concerned the nails in the roof, being exposed in places as well as along the side caps will create leaks. I did not think you were supposed to see nails visible on roof shingles. Leaves a way for water to leak in. We will watch that for sure. Compare to the other Tuff Shed from 10 years ago: Metal vents then/plastic now, lumber quality better then/rough now, latches to hold the doors open were provided then/now? Nope! Roof has no nails exposed then/now there are a bunch showing. Nails started to rust 2 days later before we got the paint on. Not a big deal as I think we got to it in time and got them covered with good paint. The ramp (pressure treated wood) has a crack in one side. It is superficial so far and hopefully will hold up to our UTV. For $6200 we did get a pretty decent barn shed but quality control is not the best. They could have caught the door issue with an inspection before leaving to install. I kind of wonder if they only fix those on the ones people complain about but you may think the doors don't come with the silver lining on the Premier as they are thick so make sure you get them with it if you order one! The manager really needs to follow up and do a walk through after these are built. If he cares about repeat business, he would do this. Pride in the work done is lacking with some employees. We saw this with the mistakes that were made on ours. Edit: The response below just shows the lack of attention to the customer. My review is detailed enough that they should already know who I am. No need to contact Tuff Shed at this point as all things have been completed and there is nothing more they can do. We fixed the nails, bought better vents to replace the cheap plastic and bought latches to hold the doors open. We will live with the chip in the floor, nails in the shingles(until they leak) and rough lumber. read more
