Due to the high cost of these options, we contacted Tile Outlet and Granite and received a very reasonable bid to replace the existing shower with tile and glass doors, and add tile a tile surround on the tub. Be extremely careful about what you are getting in quantity. I learned the hard way. My receipts showed the supposed square footage, not the boxes. My contractor picked up 83 boxes which contained 7 tiles, equaling 14 square feet. The total pickup was 996 square feet, not the 1200 listed. This was also evidenced when I ran out of tile. This also happened on a small order where I did the math for what I needed , added 10% for waste and was still 2 boxes short. The receipt does NOT show boxes, so you do not have recourse once you leave the store. Phil is argumentative, and although Marco seems decent, this has not been resolved so this is my PSA. This has cost me over $1500 in materials and trips back to the store for more tile. It was Florida tile so part of the issue is probably with the supplier too. Count the boxes AND the tiles. Sorry guys but that is the truth. Otherwise, good selection and customer service. read more

They have knowledgeable staff that took the time to provide helpful advice on how to do a herringbone pattern and walked me through the epoxy grout application process. I was looking for Granite for our new In home bar. I went to every store in the Treasure Valley. TOG were the best in service, accommodating my weird requests and as far as price, they were mid range. You get what you pay for here! Thier granite is slightly thicker than the others. I know I measured over 700 slabs. They used every bit of the slab I purchased and they gave me design ideas I had not thought of. I even ended up with 2 cheeseboards!!! They are very artistic and the care and time they take to do a job is impressive. I wanted a piece to go to the ceiling and they did it. Not an easy install and they took the time to install the counter then measure and make a template for the rest so we were assured the cut would be perfect. The granite fabricator, Larry, did a fabulous job with everything fitting together precisely and matching at the seams. Which you cannot see!!! They did not charge us for two trips to install. If you want the best job done in the area, USE them. I have used 2 other vendors and they were not even close in service or quality. read more

Phil is the worse employee I have ever seen. His employee messed up and tried to charge me and my husnand for it. We told him you never charge the customer for your mistakes. He was talking super loud to talk over me and my husband cause we were saying that is unethical. He was super rude and I would never use them again!! There work was good but they need help on there customer service. Phil also treats you different if you want to install your own counter tops which shouldn't matter. He puts you at the very bottom of the pile and when he has time is when you will get yours if you don't use his people to install it. read more

New to Boise, I had bought a home with great location, but in serious need of kitchen and bath counter upgrades. I visited one granite fabricator that acted like it was a bother to talk to me. A request for a bid went unanswered. That told me all I needed to know. I then found Tile Outlet & Granite. From the moment I walked in the store it was a totally different experience. It was immediately apparent that I was dealing with experienced professionals. They could answer my questions and provided good feedback and suggestions. They instructed me in selection of a granite slab and then they went to work with the fabrication process. When they came to install the granite, the work was superb. The workers were quiet, focused, worked as a team and knew what they were doing. I was surprised at how fast they worked. And amazingly they left no trace that they had been there other than the new granite. They were the cleanest workers I have ever had in my house! I selected a tile backsplash and that experience was was every bit as excellent as the granite installation. I have high expectations when I hire a provider for home services. I visited the store and asked for an installation quote. I was told $5.99 sq foot, including materials. When I called back within the week to confirm, I was told there was no way they could meet that quote and that one of their employees tends to pull numbers out of thin air. Seem like lovely people, but the salesman's obvious dishonesty has permanently turned me away from this business. read more

This place has great reviews online, and that was a reason I went there for my kitchen granite. I spoke with Phil, left him a drawing of my kitchen with measurements and was promised to get a quote for my kitchen shortly. I never got a call back from him (it has been over 6 weeks as of today), so I went with another company. Lately, I needed a remnant piece for my bathroom vanity and I called this place again asking if they have any left overs in a particular color. Again, spoke with Phil. He provided me a quote over the phone, and I liked it. I drove to the store, saw Phil and he honestly made me feel horrible. He said the quote he provided was for the smaller piece of granite even though I told him the size I needed over the phone, and the size I need would be twice as much. He didn't try to make it right, just left me hanging in the store. Not sure about other employees, but Phil made me angry enough to go online and write this review. read more

From my first experience in this store to the last was amazing. First of all when I go into places of business I usually get ignored unless people are commission based in which they harass everyone because I am young. My experience here was not like that at all! I walked into the Tile Outlet over a year ago with interest but no real means to start a project. Phil was the guy who helped me figure out square footage based off my awful small hand drawn diagram on the back of a spam mailer and then he let me take a tile home. I returned the tile with no issues but didn't have the job started because I didn't have the means. fast forward a year later and I walk back in and was greeted and immediately assisted. Now usually people turn their noses up to a young gay couple but we were treated just like everyone else, and that's the way it should be! I worked with Kari to pick out the tile. Vince himself came to measure the rooms requested and he had a quote whipped up within a day, I was super impressed with how little time it took. Now I'm the kind of customer that changes her mind a few times before settling and although I'm sure it was a little annoying no one even seemed bothered by this which made me feel a lot better about it. Houses are pretty unpredictable and unfortunately my bathroom floor was very uneven, this bummed me out because it sounded like there wouldn't be a fix, but Vince and his brother thought about it and figured out a plan overnight and we got the floor installed in my master bathroom without cutting corners or compromising on the quality of work (which is why the room was uneven in the first place) I was so stoked that we could continue with the master bathroom. the installation was quoted to go from 12/5/17 - 12/9/17 but our tile installer Misha (SP?) was able to finish on 12/8/17! There was a small mix up with the grout color in the master bathroom but Vince worked with me to get it right, it's crazy how generous people are when you're truthful. I have the most beautiful tile in my kitchen and master bathroom and I'm very please with how I was treated and how well everything was put together. read more
