We had been looking a sheds for awhile when we can across Tuff Shed. It is hard to tell the quality on-line so we went to the tuff Shed store. They had models in front of the store, we went through all of them. The quality is just outstanding same construction and materials as a house. We sat down with our salesman while he designed the model we had picked with the features we wanted. The day of the install they showed up on time put the shed together and took us through all the details. We had a painter working on our house so they painted the shed to match the house. We have two Tuff Shed products: a 10 x 12 Premier Pro Ranch shed and a 24 x 30 Premier Pro Ranch garage. Tuff Shed products can be customized in many ways. Our sales design consultant, Quentin Burt, worked with us to get the exact buildings we required. He was (and still is) available by text or phone. From design to completion, the process was great, and the price was right! The garage was less than half the price we were quoted by two other contractors. The shed did not require a permit, but the garage did. Tuff Shed obtained the building permit. The construction crews for both jobs were on time, knowledgeable and pleasant. Both jobs were completed on time. We have only had one small issue with the garage, which the Warranty Department took care of promptly and to our satisfaction. We are extremely pleased with both of our Tuff Shed products and recommend them highly. read more

We had a small Rubbermaid shed since we moved in where we kept our garden tools, etc., which had begun to come apart and was long overdue for replacement. I also wanted to move items which were stored in our garage so I could work on a restoration project. We visited the Tuff-Shed location in Fairfield and Steve Dawson showed us each model and the differences in dimensions, height and available doors and windows. He did several virtual builds on his computer and provided exact price quotes. We closed the deal and went home and prepared the site and scheduled a delivery. The day after I closed the deal, I returned and asked if I could change to the taller roof and they made the change on the spot. The crew who brought, assembled, roofed and applied the final coat of paint to our shed, all in about 5 hours, couldn't have been more professional. We needed some storage so we decided to try Tuff Shed in Fairfield. I got a quote from Mike who was very helpful and quick. He didn't give me any guff when I revised the quote a bunch of times. Finally I ordered what we needed. That's when a friend of mine told me he was out of work and asked if you could build me the shed Instead of buying one from Tuff Shed. So as a last-minute Hail Mary I called Mike at Tuff Shed to see if I could cancel the shed without penalty or cost and get my money back. Mike cancelled our order and issued credit without questioning and executed quickly. Luckily we have canceled before they started building anything. My old tin shed (6 X 8) was on its last legs when I decided to replace it. I wanted a larger, well made, solid shed so I looked into Tough Shed. I'm glad I did. While the cost is a little steeper than other sheds, the quality is well worth the price. I filled out my specs online then received a call from Quentin who walked me through the rest of the process. When installation day came which was only a couple of days, A crew of three came out. They finished leveling the site, constucted the building (8 X 10) in just a couple of hours. They cleaned up the area and even touched up the paint for me. The guys had mentioned that the pegboard I had ordered didn't make it on the truck. They said someone would reach out and arrange for a day and time when they could bring it out to install it. Since it was a Friday, the told me I'd hear from someone on Monday. I did and the pegboard was delivered and installed on Tuesday. I am extremely pleased with my experience with Tough Shed and with the quality of my new, larger shed. Thank you, Quentin for walking us through the options - we were predisposed to get (another ) Tuff Shed (and, no, not the B-rated stock from Home Depot). You certainly showed us value. We decided on a cement pad and you recommended a contractor. His associate did a wonderful job, except that he poured the cement traditionally, with a slight slope to drain water. But slabs for Tuff Shed should not be sloped. ooops. (The team appropriately shimmied the base for the shed.) Installer Mario is a professional - a talented contractor with cordial customer service style. No wonder that he had a 2nd crew on site that he was training. He knows his business and how to conduct it. He was very helpful in guiding us in deciding how to install the shelving. (It didn't dawn on us that it would be unwise to put a shelf in front of the windows - he did!) In the final walk-through, we noticed that when the team painted the final color coat over the primer, as it is similar to T-111, the siding had groves in which the primer still showed. Mario brought his crew back to detail paint in the groves so that no primer was showing. We are VERY pleased and HIGHLY recommend you and your team. THANKS! read more

Took a very long time from ordering our shed to actual delivery. They want half the price of your shed up front. I thought California law said 10% as a deposit. After 2 months shed was finally scheduled to be delivered and constructed on our property. They give you very little warning about when they will show up to put your shed together. I was told only the day before and given a two hour window when they would arrive. They arrived almost an hour before. I was surprised when I saw the construction "crew". It was one man and 2 children that showed up to construct my shed. Not professional at all! I would definitely not buy another Tuff shed. read more

DO NOT BUY A TUFF SHED!!!!! We purchased our shed from Fairfield, CA (sale reps (Stephen & Quinton) were very nice) when deciding our shed. We've had nothing but problems since installed. It arrived with NAIL GUN HOLES all over the shed (over FIFTY). First installers said it was a manufacturer "defect" when I pointed it out. I called and had the general manager come out (Jeff Garman) to take a look. Said "he'd never seen anything like it but they have to go deeper with the gun because it's so big" and that's how the holes came about. We then get a leak through the front door from the rain (they forgot to caulk the door) and the windows had condensation. Second repair co said it's from having "cheap windows installed" and doors weren't caulked. This was told to my contractor who is finishing the INSIDE. They send a third repair co to caulk & paint the shed. They did NOT complete the repair and they only touched up the paint WHICH DID NOT MATCH! I now have steaks of light paint all over the shed. After numerous complaints to Jeff he tells me "we've spent thousands of dollars trying to fix it and I'm just as frustrated". Well Jeff..we spent almost $10,000 on a shed that leaks...has holes ALL over it and streaks of paint because you can't get a contractor to get it right. Asked for a new shed but he refuses to replace yet is frustrated because there's so many issues. All I want is what I paid for! So if your reading TOM SAUREY your Tuff Shed DID NOT DELIVER and we definitely did not get what we paid for. Your general managers should be a little more worried about MAKING THE CUSTOMER WHOLE & repairing it to the standards YOU set forth. I have a call into corporate and praying they can help. Sadly, WILL NOT REFER TUFF SHED TO ANYONE!!! read more

Stopped in on Saturday and took a long look at the different sheds on display. You can see them from I-80 and I've been wanting to take a closer look. There are a dozen+ around the lot, more than at Home Depot. It's nice to see all the options available in terms of size, height, double doors, windows, vents, shelving, and of course paint colors. We spoke with one of the reps and discussed the differences from shed to shed. We went into his office and detailed what we were looking for. Everything is pretty custom, but don't read that as "expensive". With all the options we were looking for- Windows, workbench, etc, in a 10 x 12 shed, our price was just under $4k. Not cheap, but considering they weed going to come and build 120 square feet of functional workspace on our property it seems like a steal! They offer multiple models, some that can be finished with Sheetrock for a guest cottage or home office. I have friends who've owned their Tuff Sheds for years and they are in great condition. They also have a nice website for getting some preliminary information. read more

Go to home depot, get a better deal, and avoid having to deal with Mike. Bought a Tuff shed about a month ago. I called this store and simply asked what the psi rating of the floor is. First thing he asked is where I bought it. I said home depot and he said I should call them then.... Click. I couldn't believe it and needed this guy's name. Kept calling until he finally decided not to ignore my call. I asked for his name. It's Mike. Mike you represent Tuff shed as a whole. Say you bought a Honda from a dealership in Vacaville. A month later you call the Honda dealership in Fairfield to ask a simple question that is standard to all civics. Then they tell you to call another dealership and hang up on you. What happened to basic customer service? Luckily I was able to call another Tuff shed representative and they were happy to help me out. read more

I had a great experience with my Tuff Shed that I purchased from this location. I bought a 10X12 shed and from here. I worked with Mike Zahradka on planning it all out. He was my point man for the Tuff Shed. He was really great to work with, explained everything to us really well, and wasn't pushy at all. So, on the sheds, they are a little expensive but for the quality that you get it, I felt like it was really worth it. Everyone who has come by and seen the shed, was really impressed by the quality on it. The install went great with it as well. They did miss adding a vent but I called them and they sent someone out right away to make sure that got in. You get what you pay for and these guys are a professional company that handles business at the end of the day. I would recommend them to friends and family without a doubt. read more

One day later, Oct. 5, I realized I wanted to change the location of the door so I called the sales representative in the Fairfield store to make the change. I was told that would not be a problem. About a week later I stopped by the Fairfield store to reassure the charges had been made. I was assured the change had been made. Delivery date November 13. As the shed was being built I realized the location of the door had not been changed from the original order. I mentioned my concern to the installers and they suggested I call the sales staff in Fairfield. I called, left a message detailing the problem. No return call. The installers, who were great, suggested I call the head office in Sacramento. I called left a detailed message, no return call. The shed is now installed with the door in the wrong location. I ordered a tuff shed through this Fairfield, CA store. I placed the order, paid for it by credit card and the charge has been recorded on my card account. After placing the order, I was told I would receive an email confirming the build, which I would need to sign and return. I've been waiting for the email for seven days. I called the dealer numerous times and sent two emails with no response. The person I dealt with is Ralph Keenan. Virtually every call I make (all during business hours) goes to voice mail. The one time I got a hold of someone, I was told I would have to deal with Ralph Keenan and to call back when he is working. I was told he works from Saturday to Wednesday. Inasmuch, I called on Saturday. The call went into voice mail. I sent an email. Thus far, no response. I'm inclined now to cancel my order and go with someone else. This type of lack of customer service and concern is not a place I want my money to go. Avoid this place. read more
