The biggest project involved installing new boards on my second-story deck, creating a header and gate to the roof, a gate to the stairs, rebuilding a stairway and landing, and lattice and staining for a finished look. Since the initial install, Small Town has done some repairs and went in to reinforce the deck with more robust 6 X 6, concrete footers, other repairs, and darker stain. Other projects have included scraping and painting in a bathroom, repairing double-hung windows, and installing French doors. They have removed floor tiles, and removed old worn-out furniture from the house as well. All along, Small Town has been fantastic to work with, communicative, and reasonably priced. Instead of calling around and getting comps for each specialty, I decided on hiring a handyman who could (hopefully) do it all. I found Ethon via Yelp after he responded to my quote request in less than 15 minutes. I called him right away and he offered to do a walkthrough the next day in order to get me a quote ASAP. When he arrived at the house, he was professional, polite, and friendly, like a brother who happens to know his way around the house. No more than 48 hours went by before he messaged me his quote. It took a couple of visits before he completed all of the jobs we negotiated due to the electrical issue that needed some serious troubleshooting, but Ethon was happy to come back until the job was completed to his liking. We love the results. Overall, this was an extremely positive experience. Not only was the paint professional and our lighting fixed, but I feel like we also made a friend out of this.
