Alex, if you were a customer and you referred (no sold) a number of people to a company who bought the product (9). and you developed an issue that was an installation error, that caused damage and needed repair. That companies response was we cannot find you in our system. Would you do business with that company? Lets say you blasted your current pics of your purchase over social media and the sales mgr. calls you and pleads with you to make it right and then fails and blows you off not once but twice, saying they have no record of you would you do business with that company. .My shed still shows the failed wall with black tar over it to prevent it from leaking. Kind of unsightly but otherwise a good looking shed. There is a sign on it built and refused to be fixed by Tuff Shed.. There are 5 new sheds in my neighborhood of 9 estates. none of them are Tuff sheds based on that display. And me sharing my story Based on your emails.my media people will be creating a flyer for the upcoming fairs showing why Tuff Sheds is a poor choice. We went to the factory showroom to pick out a 10 X12 shed to be used for storage and hobby activities. A shed our size was on display, Fred the salesperson gave us all the particulars about the customization we wanted. We called in a few days to place our order. A crew of 3 men came to our location after three days. The crew had all of the pieces of the shed on a trailer. The final coat of paint was put on while the floor was being installed in our backyard. They were complete with the building in about four hours! They cleaned everything up and left. For those of you who have not seen the interior of a TuffShed, we were so surprised that the framing is comprised of 2 X 4's ! It looks like a tiny house inside! So far, we are very pleased with the entire transaction. read more

I have been incredibly impressed while working with Theo Vervilles on a custom shed for my property. The custom shed builder on their website is amazing, I was able to plan what I wanted to build and then submit it to Theo for discussion. He got in touch with me immediately and made some suggestions and brought up things. I had not considered about the placement and how I would be using it. He had me send him some pictures of the area so he had a clear understanding of how I was going to use it. It was a top-notch experience, even when I made changes as we were figuring things out. It was a little more expensive, but in the long run, there is much more value with the shed, including the consultation and construction. Buying a Tuff Shed storage shed was one of the best purchases I have made in a while. Initially, I was thinking of building a Rubbermaid plastic storage shed. There are kits that are quite inexpensive. And then I watched YouTube videos which showed how flimsy and leaky those are. This shed was probably 2 to 3 times more expensive, but will literally last for decades. It is constructed as solidly as a house. The quality of workmanship is top-notch. Theo helped us choose the style, size, colors, windows and doors, as well as coming out to look at the site. His customer service was flawless. As mentioned above, the shed quality is amazing. And the installers, Isiah and Jay from "Grass Fed Construction" were professional and very goal-oriented to do the job 100% correctly. I recommend Tuff Shed without hesitation! read more

Used TuffShed Tukwila to finish our Garden/Exterior Remodel. I designed my shed using the online tools. They were great to experiment with options, designs, and pricing. They really enabled you to imagine what the finished product would be like both inside and out. We bought a Premier range shed. The Tukwila office staff were really efficient and communicative, got me on the schedule. On installation day the crew arrived right on time. A quick walk through the job site got them oriented and up and running. They indicated ~4hrs to be done. They were right on time... Build quality was great. They left the job site clean and tidy, also like they hadn't been barring the new shed... Price point was about middle of the road compared to other product. Very pleased with the product quality and installation service. Would definitely recommend to others. read more

We needed to replace a storage shed and had heard good things about Tuff Shed. We decided to order one from the local dealer. There were several delays in the installation (more than a month), but we were patient. After it was installed, we noticed that there were several problems, but they seemed minor at the time. Then a few months later after the winter installation, we noticed that the walls were buckling and the door had not been hung properly. To try to make it fit, the installers had used wood chips and other things to try to keep the door from moving. You could see daylight around parts of the door when it was closed. The door frame screws are exposed. (See the photos below) We had paid extra for this secure door...what a letdown. We contacted Tuff Shed and they sent out someone to fix the problem. Instead of rehanging the door, they used caulk in places to keep critters from getting in. What a mess! I called again (talked with Shay (?)) and was assured that they would fix the problem. I have never heard back from them. I have called a number of times with no return calls. So sad! We expected a well constructed storage shed and good customer service for the price we paid. My husband fixed the problem with the buckling walls by using the proper nails that should be used for this type of structure (the nails that they used had no heads). Now we would like the door properly fixed. This is a real black eye for the Tuff Shed brand. I guess the quality is dependent on the contractors they hire to install the shed. We ordered our shed a month ago. Scheduled delivery for May 14th, 2024. Received a call that they did not have all the pieces so were unable to do delivery. Rescheduled for Saturday May 18th, 2024 for between 9am and noon because they had not shown up by noon and we had not received a phone call. I called sales (they seem to be the only department open) and the gentleman was very nice. Did some investigating and found out that our shed was not being delivered today. So 2nd time we are canceling the electrician. (They charge a fee for last minute cancellation). Not a happy customer at this point. If I had not called we wouldn't have gotten this information. I had finally decided on a shed vendor, and chose Tuff Shed. The setup and signing paperwork were easy; good understanding of my options - no pressure. Scheduling was easy as well, and there was a cancellation which meant it could be built about three weeks early. On the day of install, I received a call from one of the builders that said they would arrive about 8:30 AM. The two arrived and I noticed immediately that, wow, they're kids (likely 20s). I expressed my concern very transparently to Theo because my original expectation was that they would be at least in their 40s, based on years of experience, etc. I was able to let this go. I'll concede that while I'm a bit of a micro-manager with contracted home projects, and I was going to let them do their job. They had one question early on about the position of the shed, and I reiterated my expectation that it was to be placed to the inside edge. In this case, the shed built would be 10x12. The concrete pad is 10x13, so the single foot excess of the pad would be on the south end of it. After construction was completed and they left, I did inspect it. I found that on the inside, a few (not many) of the nails didn't really go into the studs. I can address this on my own prior to a secondary coat of paint. My disappointment came in after it was built. It was like Tuff Shed landed their deal and moved on. I just didn't feel good about conversations with Theo or Shay, post-sale. Shay, in operations, did check to verify that things were to my satisfaction, but I did not sense that they really cared over the phone. I had also paid for the screens that go on the base of the building, but they were apparently out and had to be ordered. A week later, I asked again about it to the person that did contact me and she would have them sent over. They arrived the next day. About a week later, I received yet another set of the screens. Strange.. I guess I'll just set these aside. The shed serves it's purpose. I applied caulking to the inside of many of the seams to prevent bugs, etc from entering it. How the customer is treated post-sale is just as important to landing the sale. Would I go with them again if given the chance?.. I really don't know. We ordered this Tuff Shed through Home Depot two months ago. Because of COVID 19 work and supply disruptions, it was just installed. Ordering - great experience! Dwayne was super easy to work with and knows the products. He made the design decisions easy. They have the a basic kit, and then you can upgrade or add many things. We thought the prices are very competitive, given the materials are decent and they assemble it for you. Communication in the office- Poor!! It took calling 3 times to get someone to tell us where to drop off the paint. (We purchase it and they paint the panels before the "build day".) It was getting down to 4 days before build day; they hadn't called or emailed us with the info. Someone finally answered. Then two days after my husband dropped off the paint (4 gallons) , someone from their office called to ask when we were going to drop off paint! She never even called back to say they found it. We called back the next day to confirm! Then after the shed was built, we called to let them know what was missing from our order. Then someone sent a docu-sign form with no explanation. Since they owe us missing upgrades, we weren't going to sign it. Then came a cancel docu-sign e-form. Again, no explaination. The paperwork said that the second coat of paint would be on us. So when we called to let them know which upgrades didn't make it, we also asked it we could pick up the left over paint. A nice man said that he was going to be in our area and would drop it off. Then the office called and said there wasn't any paint left over. Bull cr*p! I've painted many many walls, and there would have been 2/3 of a gallon of the trim gallon left and some of the main color left too!! Construction- pretty good The workers are contractors, not Tuff Shed employees. They were right on time, and did a decent job. Overall, we are happy with the quality so far. Our door doesn't isnt flush with the wall when closed and the lock is VERY difficult to engage. It's a poor design. Also, they said that every single shed they assemble has missing parts. . . which is a reeeeal bummer when we paid for the upgrades. We paid for a roof upgrade (3 tab), and a doorway guard plate. They were sent out with the basic, cheap roof and no guard. UPDATE: The shed was installed 2.5 weeks ago, and the office set today to come install the upgrades they missed the first time. No one called to confirm a time, so we called their office twice. The first time Julie said that a worker would come out between 9-noon. My husband asked her for the worker's phone number so we could confirm with him. She said she didn't have it! (?) No one showed up, and it's afternoon, so we called again. Someone rescheduled us for a month out. . .without bothering to call us!! It's worse than poor communication. It's mixed signals/no communication! read more

This has been a horrible experience with Tuff Shed. We should have read these reviews before purchasing, because they are all spot-on. The install was rescheduled 3 times. The communication was VERY poor i.e. calling us the day before or day of our install to tell us they wouldn't be there. And then, not calling back with a new date. There was one week I had to call them every day to make sure they were working on getting us a new date as otherwise I'm not sure we would have heard from them. We complained about the multiple date changes and asked for compensation. They offered to install shelves at no charge once they installed the shed. When the shed did arrive - no shelves and the crew knew nothing about them. At every turn it has been a struggle with this company. They are happy to take your money and provide incompetent service and product in return. As for the quality - we are starting to see that there are water leaks around the windows - 2 months into owning it. For the sake of your sanity, look elsewhere to buy your shed! read more

They continually rescheduled my installation appointment, even after I verified the day before install that they were still good to go. Literally got a call later that same afternoon (after specifically verifying my install date) saying they needed to reschedule again. Very unprofessional to be operating like that. Can't comment on the quality of the shed since it never got installed. Would not recommend unless you can wait for several months and don't care when it actually gets installed. Two stars instead of one, because the people you talk to are actually really nice and friendly. The biggest downside so far has been the timeline (we placed the order in late September and our delivery date isn't until mid-January). That said, everything up to this point has gone well. I ordered my shed at the end of May 2021. Due to covid 19, supply issues, and staff issues, delivery was delayed. But the delivery was spectacular!! John and his son, Noah, did an outstanding job! Nice construction, clean site, and communicated nicely with my neighbors. My shed was scheduled to be built this coming Tuesday 6/27, I just received a call saying it was going to be pushed out unlit 7/20. I have some issues with this happening. *Our child is due that week (we needed this shed so we could move things out of the house and set up the baby room. * I'm only just now fining this out four days prior to the scheduled date. *I've already taken the week of 6/27 off to move everything into the shed. *My contracted date was given to my HOA I will have to re-file now due to this. *when the delivery date was set up the lady on the phone guarantied the build on 6/27. *This process has been a nightmare from start to finish (I know all the issues I had with Home Depot is not TuffSheds fault) this just adds to though. *I currently have a 4th of July party that was planned now in question due to being unable to use my garage and yard due to storage space since I've already torn down my old shed and every thing is being stored in the garage and house. *Paying just over 6,000$ for something I feel I would of had a better experience. *Home Depot who we ordered from told us 1-6 weeks for install after purchase Tuff Shed told us 3-4 weeks. Now we are looking at 8 weeks. *I was told a manager would contact me today, I sat around all day waiting for a phone call never received one, I called back mid day and towards the end of the day and was sent straight to voicemail. ***Update*** Tuff shed was able to come July 6th they arrived at 1015am but couldn't get started until around 1230pm Because the warehouse loaded the wrong parts and the correct items had to be brought up. The crew that did the installation were very professional and communicated throughout the day with me. They did a great job on the build and with clean up. Updated from a 1 start to a 2. I think most people need to distinguish between two things for this "one" business. Direct sales or Home Depot Shed orders from Tuff Shed. TL;DR Choose between Home Depot or Direct Sales depending on your needs. The people in the office (Theo, Shea, Terry, and Craig if using HD) are great but I am guessing they are in a continuous state of stress due to things they can't control. Supply chain during COVID sucks. Also note they don't build or think about your shed until like the week before because they build just before, if you have a question it's going to wait until it matters. 2Build LLC built my shed and those guys were quick, friendly, and talented. It was a two person crew and they were A+++. I am 3 weeks post shed delivery, 4 weeks post original install date (pushed back the week it was 110 F in Seattle), and 1 hour past "final" updates being done. It's been a thing but considering OSB is $60 for a sheet and a 2x4 is $8, this is not a thing I felt like I wanted to do myself considering the price they offered. In then end I did get a shed delivered that had the wrong vent size cuts, they only had one vent on hand, and there were no ridge cap shingles for two weeks. They still haven't provided the containers of paint for the second coat I need to do within 90 days according to the warranty docs. Refer to COVID supply chain? But I'm not that upset. I did end up with the 888 tuff shed (HD) vs tuffshed.com order because the price difference for what I needed I could accomplish within the HD site, but because I was originally thinking about the clerestory version I could only get it from one of those. My experience is honestly that the sales and design people are nice. The sales people (Ginny from TX, or Theo in Tukwila) were the nicest I've ever talked to. My situation: I wanted to install my own door and I got a quote from HD sales on the rough opening and it was slightly different than direct sales. The biggest issue was when I ordered HD had a 9 week lead time. Then, I had a question about clarifying my request for a RO for a 36 inch door due to framing sizes vs door size. THIS TOOK 6-7 WEEKS TO CLARIFY. I sent emails every couple of weeks and got nothing back. This is my biggest hiccup in the process and I was stressed AF about it. There was some capitulation from them in replies about handling it but I would honestly preferred to have them say "we will totally address this 2 weeks before your install and ignore it until then due to build scheduling" I could have just left It alone at that point. In the end they texted me the correct/updated drawings with the right dimensions and I could stop stressing. Office staff in Tukwila/ASM Craig; you are great. Just lay out expectations for addressing questions considering your lead time. Still 4 stars. They did it, it's a tough business I assume, I didn't want to do the work myself, had a special request they followed through on, and it looks great to me. read more

I hardly ever write reviews, but the experience has been extremely poor working with Tuff shed, and I want to capture it as a warning to others. TLDR: They have been to my place 2 times, and are now scheduled for a 3rd visit, each time I've had to take time off work. Although the crew acknowledge that the work wasn't complete, nobody every contacted me for the re-visits, I had to call them each time. Each time, they have moved me to the end of their schedule, causing the shed to take months to be completed. Details: Designing a shed on line was a good experience, I was reached out to by sales relatively quickly, they came on sight and we worked through the details, this all went fairly well. Communication once we got into schedule was very poor, I got a date via email and at 9:30am on the day of the install I called them to see if they were still coming... They installed my shed, it was supposed to take half a day, they were there till 6pm. The roof wasn't packed up with the shed, so on their first visit I ended up with a shed with no roof. I go out to do the "signoff inspection" and the guy running the crew says "oh they didn't tell you?" like it's my fault. On this visit, they also forgot a threshold for the door, and ran out of paint, so I had a half painted shed with no roof, and no threshold for the doors. There were also less serious quality issues like missing caulk, ragged cuts on the hardie plank, etc... (wish I could add pictures) 2nd visit, the crew shows up, and installs the roof, but tells me they didn't know about any of the other issues, again, the implication seemed to be on me. I wait 5 days to see if Tuff shed is going to follow up.... nothing. I finally get frustrated and call, and they don't have me scheduled, or seem to be aware of the additional issues. They schedule the 3rd follow up for a month out. To date, still don't have a complete shed... just a really poor experience. read more

Apparently few have really good comments about the service here. Mine was installed Nov 2017 & I had to renail the sides to the studs since the kid missed the studs. As for the roofing...lots of nails come through the roof & stabs your head if you are not careful. That is the least of my issues. i've been trying for 32 days to get service on the door that is lopsided, it drags terribly for open or close, rendering this door & shed fairly unusable. With each open/close the door gets worse. Customer Service? You must be joking, it's Customer DISservice in my experience. Very poor product I'd never recommend & warranty is useless when Tuff Shed doesn't respond. read more

This experience has been like getting my teeth pulled.   Ordered and paid $3,763.42 for a Tuff Shed on 4/1/2021, most recent email is telling me my install date is now 12/9/2021.  Yes, that is 8 months for an 8ft x 10ft shed whereby I already build the foundation myself.  The initial install date was set for 5/27/2021 via email, then cancelled without explanation.  After many many emails and frustrating phone calls, I finally got a call back and a new install date for Wednesday, 6/23/2021, more than 3 months from date of purchase.   Okay, COVID slowed some stuff.  I get it.  I can wait.  No worries, I guess. Right?  Wrong.  I should have worried.   The shed was delivered on 6/23/2021 to the wrong address in the wrong state.  Job site is WA state.  They delivered to my billing address in AZ.  There was no email or phone call to confirm the job site.  I had, however, called them twice to confirm the job site, but had to leave a message both times because there was nobody to take the call.     Hey Tuff Shed, maybe consider it a crucial step for your company to confirm the job site in the future before building and delivering a building.   If that is not bad enough, it took many, many more emails and many, many, many phone calls just to find out what was happening with my shed, let alone get a new install date.  I was eventually able to speak momentarily with the Northwest Tuff Shed representative Dewayne Campbell.  But he blew me off and gave me yet another useless phone number to call.  Thanks Dewayne.   So finally I hear back via email on 7/26/2021.  And, are you ready for this?  I have cut and pasted it from the email: "Your building is scheduled to be installed on Thursday, December 9th." Is that not hilarious?  I myself had to laugh at it.   Still not one single phone call from anyone.  Instead, when I call them I get a lot of attitude.  After all, I am to blame for having actually bought a shed. And each time I call, I get another Dewayne Campbell-type person who shuffles me off to another rep, often in another state.  I finally thought I was getting somewhere when I was told I'd get a call from the General Manager at the build site in Tukwila WA. Surely the GM would get things back on track, right? Wrong.  That was about 2 weeks ago, I've not heard snot from boo. Instead, just a generic email with the ridiculous December install date.   What an atrocious company; shattered customer service without any centralized structure and no recourse whatsoever for escalated issues.  I even tried calling the corporate office in CO, but the phone tree in Denver just cycled me back out, this time to some random person in Portland OR for some unkown reason.   All the while, I keep referring back to the Tuff Shed promise in writing that I got from the start: "... keeping sight of our goal of creating customers who are Extremely Satisfied with Tuff Shed products and services."  Several emails have expressed this same notion of "extreme satisfaction." Guess what? I am not extremely staisfied. I am not even a little bit satisfied.  Rather, quite the opposite.  I am 100% unsatisfied. I am done being frustrated and angry.  At this point I can only laugh at this joke of a company.  Albeit, $3,763.42 is a pretty expensive joke.  Hopefully I can get my money back.   Stay away.  Stay far far away from this company. read more
