Bev owns the property and Rafi runs feeding blanketing etc I will tell you both are amazing. No drama no issues in three years. My horse loves both Bev and Rafi this is a low key barn with one main trainer (that i train with ) and two other trainers that have a lesser clientele. Thole farms is also amazing fyi. Bev is always professional kind and involved. Rafi is always looking after my horse (and lease) to maintained weight and ensure our horses get the fed they need and want. I've never once had a missed feeding. I've never had an issue with barn mates never had any issue here going on three years. Best barn in 50 plus miles I'd say. If your looking for great care try Bev and Rafi. No drama ever. Easy going and great care.

Not only has she come out of her shell, she has developed more confidence and self-esteem. She is learning how to ride a horse, how to care for a horse, how to properly saddle a horse. Brooke has learned responsibility and respect for animals. Mrs. Peck takes a serious approach to teaching her students about horse riding and care. She starts with the basics of how to care for horses like brushing and grooming them, cleaning the face, using the correct body terms and how to saddle and tack up a horse and ready for riding. She takes safety, very seriously her no nonsense approach teaches children not only to respect an animal that weighs over 1000 pounds. But to have compassion and love for horses. Do not come to Peck Farms expecting this to be a pony ride experience, it is not. She will teach your child how to be responsible. She will teach your child how to take ownership of riding a horse from start to finish. She teaches with love and kindness and compassion, but she also wants to make sure that your child understands directions thoroughly and that they do not get hurt or hurt her horses. I've sat in on my daughter's lesson I have watched and listened, and I appreciate the respect she gives my daughter as well as the kindness and compassion. She shows her. For anyone that says differently about Mrs. Peck. I invite you to come down and actually watch a lesson.Aa few reviews I've read do not match my experience or my daughter's. If you want your child to develop a love of riding horses both western or English saddle. I suggest you book a lesson with Mrs. Peck and come down and watch and see for yourself. I think you'll be very happy with the progress your child will make. I know I'm extremely happy with my daughter's progress. She loves riding.

Listening to a male instructor talk about how much he hated Trump and politics was so negative. I was here to have fun. I am just a young person who would like to have a good positive experience outside of my life of schooling. Lastly, I felt misled at times. The owner often made promises regarding the quality of the lessons and the state of the facility that did not hold up during my visits. This inconsistency was disheartening and left me feeling as though I could not trust the information provided. In summary, I cannot recommend Pecks based on my experience. There are many other stables that prioritize both quality instruction and a well-maintained environment, and I urge anyone considering lessons to explore those options instead. Lessons should be a joyful and enriching experience, but my time at Pecks was, unfortunately, anything but that. Owner posted a comment that I came during her husband's death. That is not true he died long before my visits. Sadly she has to use his death as an excuse.

My daughter started out at another local barn that has a…read moregreat reputation but the ponies were dirty and unkempt and the teachers proved to be flaky with the schedule. Contrast that with Elvenstar where the ponies are always clean and ready to go and the instructors very rarely miss a lesson. Also, in contrast to our first barn, there are a ton of young girls at Elvenstar for my daughter to make friends with and to ride with. She's made a couple great friends there. I'm glad we found Elvenstar. We're on our third leased pony in ~3 years because KK's skills are improving quickly and she's growing! The skill increase is a direct result of time in the saddle and KK's willingness to listen to and learn from Elvenstar's professional team. Barns, like horses, have personalities so Elvenstar may not be right for everyone. But it's been right for us for about three years and I can absolutely see it being our barn for many years to come.

They have a large riding arena, a round pen, a medium and a small turn out. They are 5 minutes away from Happy Trails. A lot of barns are "judgmental and competitive", not this barn. Everybody is friendly and we help each other out. Mary and Patrick respond quickly, if I have a question or problem. Everybody has their own small tack/feed storage room by their corral.
