I really liked Ashley's work here. She no longer works there so I'm trying out other hairdressers to see who understands my hair better I really like that they use sulphate free products. I usually get hair conditioning treatment and haircuts. Also it is appointment only so book in advance.

I recommend Melissa for color / highlights. They came out so beautiful and natural looking. This place can be a bit pricey (aren't all salons?), but I appreciate their eye for quality. I really love the Oleplex I got from this place. This place is always clean and smells nice. They offer you water, coffee, or tea when you come in. I love that they send you text reminders about your appointments!

Very sad. Had a hair consult with Melissa a month ago to get rid of my new blonde's golden tones - too much yellow, not enough platinum. Had my coloring appointment this week. She put on a bleach cap (don't know if that's the right term). I now have no golden highlights, just orange streaks. Exact same shade as when I put Sun In on my hair as a teen. For this, I paid $150....and my hair is like straw. Very, very disappointed.

I had my first Devacut ever at this Salon. I was shocked on how curly my hair was after my appointment. Betsy was amazing. She also taught me tricks and techniques to get the same results at home. My hair has never looked better! Also, the salon is very beautiful, clean, and stylish.

Great haircut, brow and lash tint!

So last night I have the pleasure of getting some pampering done by Laura at Tula. It was my first time at the salon and she made it a fabulous experience! When your first walk in their quaint salon in Squirrel Hill, you feel relaxed as it's casual, clean and not too uptight like some city salons. Their vintage decor gave it an interesting appeal and they even support local artists on the walls. Which is all my speed, for sure. I decided to try the brow/lash tint, yet I was a bit nervous about it. Laura was professional, confident and talked me thru the process. I didn't want my brows to be too bold and she tinted them the perfect amount. I literally cannot stop looking at them, if you're on the fence.. Just do it! It will give you an extra boost of confidence in your look. The lash tint makes me use less mascara or none at all, I say that's a win! I rounded out the evening with a haircut. During the hair wash I even got a wonderful scalp massage during the process. I was just looking for a trim and some long layers as I'm growing my hair out for my wedding. Laura respected that and didn't cut too much off, but still giving my hair life and some shape again. All in all, this salon will make you leave feeling fabulous!! And get the brow tint. Seriously.

Awesome ceiling. Keeping with the industrial theme.

Awesome Aveda salon, everyone is always so friendly and chic. Local artist's paintings decorate the walls, and they change as their art "showings" change. So it's always a bit different. Very eco aware. Not just in product but design and decor. Very laid back atmosphere, which I really appreciate. Everyone seems to be very skilled. I followed Melissa C here from a previous salon and drive all the way from greensburg to see her! You get what you pay for here!

I moved to the USA 3 years ago and rarely go to salon because I afraid that they are not familiar with Asian hair. After drive past Tula so many times, I finally went there for the first time couple days ago to get my hair colored and cut. I'm really impressed with the result. My hair was black at the roots and the rest were kind of orange brown. I wanted my hair to be light ash brown. Betsy spent 5 hours on my hair and she was very patient with my stubborn hair. The price was very reasonable compared to what I got, I actually prepared to pay double of what they charged me. I'll definitely go back and already suggested some of my friends to go too.

First time back in a salon for more than a year. Mask compliance was great. Fantastic cut from Megan!! Looking forward to going back.

I now see Becky (or Laura, if Becky is completely booked, who is also phenomenal) every 6-8 weeks to maintain my short hair.

I came back again for the Mother Roasting. As described on their website mother roasting is a…read morerejuvenating post-partum treatment performed about two weeks after the delivery of your new baby. I booked this shortly after getting out of the hospital, knowing that for months it was going to be part of my "post-birth plan" (y'know, treat yo self). I felt so taken care of I almost wept. They kindly let you take your newborn with you and assure you can get up a get your baby at any point during the almost 2 hour long treatment. I think that my baby was so relaxed by the lights and the music because she napped for longer than she usually did at that point and slept the whole time (which was such a gift to me). It was a very cold February day, so the idea of being "roasted" by hot stones was very appealing. No matter the weather I absolutely recommend this as a gift to a new mother (or for yourself as a mother).

Overall, this is a wonderful place to receive a service…read more When you first enter, you are warmly greeted and given paperwork to fill out. While you are filling out paper work, they give you a warm neck wrap and also offer water or tea to drink. The massage rooms are spacious and very well decorated and maintained. Everything was extremely clean without feeling sterile. The massage therapist I had took the time to listen to what I wanted out of the experience and made sure to make the most of our time attending to my areas of concern. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated (which was my main goal for the treatment). The two downsides are that there is street parking only (so you might have to park several blocks away) and they are one of the more pricey establishments. (but you really do get what you pay for). Definitely worth the splurge to get a service here.
