It's rare to find a business that I can't find *something* to pick at.... but TB&J is one of those. I've been seeing them for a couple years, monitoring a deteriorating right knee. I started with Dr. Caleb Nunley (Owasso), who is such a great doc. He listened, we talked, and worked out a plan to monitor things. Later on, I met with Dr. Susan Peterson, who did the actually surgery. Dr. Peterson is one of the best doctors I've ever met. She was open and honest about what I would go through, perfectly managing my expectations (which is not an easy thing to do). I could go on and on, but it would just be polish on the diamond. TB&J as a facility is outstanding. From the Union Pines surgery center to the main offices and Physical Rehab facility on the main campus, everyone I interacted with were extremely professional and relateable. Everyone was friendly, helpful and ready to help at every turn. Same goes for the folks at the Owasso office where I'm doing rehab PT. Brac'ee and Kayla have been so great to work with. They push you, sure, but they respect that you're in pain and do have limits. Overall I could not be happier with the entire team at TB&J, and would not hesitate to use them again. read more

My only experience with this business is I received a call informing me. There was a referral from my doctor. I say I received a call because I never got the call. I just found out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a voicemail from them on a Friday. Monday morning when they supposedly were supposed to be open at 8 AM I tried to return the call. I had been having a lot of elbow trouble for months. She had it diagnosed within minutes as tennis elbow. She said to wear a wrist brace at night. Not an elbow brace but a wrist brace! It has already helped immensely and I haven't even started PT yet. read more

It's a convenient, time-saving option in comparison to an earlier arrival time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Upon arrival, the receptionist scanned copies of my insurance card and I was taken to an exam room within 10 minutes. Dr. Smith's PA came into the room prior to his arrival. We reviewed my forms and the reason of my visit. Then, I was sent for X-rays. Dr. Smith is so thorough! He takes the time to make a personal connection, addresses all your concerns, and provides treatment options in detail. My mother came here after a botched knee replacement at TBJ due to extreme pain. They accused her of seeking pain meds and refused to treat her, they insulted her and sent her away despite her saying she didn't feel she could survive the pain. Turns out she had a serious infection and her body was rejecting the replacement. Absolutely inhumane treatment, do not go here if you want high quality and responsible care. read more

Regarding Dr Peterson. I echo similar opinions across this and other review sites. She's definitely a skilled surgeon ~ but if she's not interested in your case, she's dismissive. I have a full thickness left labral tear, and birth defect, in agonizing pain. She's offered no assistance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Won't explain a denial for a steroid injection. Would not assist in getting a lidocaine patch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Offered PT which made everything worse. Referred back to neuro for my lumbar spine doesn't negate the hip tear. She's simply unable or unwilling to help with labral tears and the pain associated with them, and provides no alternatives for the patient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Leaves us hanging.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She wants to do knee replacements and hip replacements. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've advocated for myself. I had a complete spinal redo after mishaps on the first two. Dr. R. Drake is responsible for performing this nine hour surgery under general anesthesia. The surgery went off without any issues and Dr. Drake was amazing. This was a very dangerous surgery, one that could have ultimately left me paralyzed or even dead. Would not give me an answer when I called twice nurse was not receptive and only demanded that I came in for their evaluation which is the 15th of this month[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].. I thought it was a fair place but not any longer. Last year the long lasting steroid knee injection lasted 10 months, this year it did not work at all, but of course they expect full payment and offer no other solutions, so I won't go back!!! I had been going to Tulsa bone and Joint for several years mostly for treatment in my knee with mixed results depending on the doctor you see, however I kept going due to them having an urgent care. After my last visit with doctor Lovelace I will never return. They rush you brought, don't listen, have no answers to any questions and try and encourage unnecessary procedures with no interest in your physical goals or needs only the profits that they may see. On top of that they are completely rude and unhelpful, the billing office speaks in a single spongy sarcastic voice. Extremely disappointing visit with Dr. Mokhte! The very first thing out of his mouth was "Why are you here and what do you want?" First off, if you read the referral Dr. you would know why I was there! Second of all, how rude- it made me feel like he thought I was drug seeking! Again, if he had read the referral, he would have known I cannot take opiates or pain narcotics- they all make me sick and vomit. He gave me a steroid injection that did nothing and then sent me a bill, and wanted me to come back to try another injection in another spot. I do not recommend Dr. Mokhtee, his bedside manner is lacking. My father was a surgeon- I'm glad he isn't alive to see the state of the medical system and the horrible direction doctors like this are taking it! read more

Last month I had surgery on my left hand. I have now completed one month of post op therapy and I must say that the results have exceeded my best expectations. I had pre-op appointment with Dr. Mokhtee who explained exactly what the surgery would involve, what results could be expected. My post-op appointment was with the therapists who examined the surgery and explained what to expect with therapy. I had therapy two times a week for four weeks. The therapists very closely monitored my healing and progress during the healing process and adjusted my therapy according to my healing progress. I am very happy with the results and expect better results as I continue to heal. I want to give special thanks to Dr. Mokhtee for his surgical expertise. And therapists Molly Cook and Kelly Reeder. Tulsa Bone and Joint is unprofessional. I complained about a physical therapist who was reckless and aggressive doing a full extension on my knee during the second outpatient PT session. This PT was fired because he also accessed patient records illegally. Then this clinic treated me like a black swan, and I cannot even make follow up appointments with my surgeon. If you complain at all, this clinic will turn it upside down on you. The administration of Tulsa Bone and Joint is unethical. I do not recommend this clinic. read more

From a new patient perspective, I cannot recommend this facility. This is the first time I've paid the co-pay and not seen the doctor because they were running that far behind schedule. Wait time was unreasonably long, but I have to get my issue resolved so I had no choice but to reschedule. Praying the co-pay carries over and that this doesn't become a complete exercise in futility. I had knee replacement surgery on January17, 2023. Dr. Tony Jabbour was my doctor and surgeon. What a pro!! Awesome bedside manner. The care we received was better than 5 Stars. Completely off the charts. Can't say enough about Melissa, Dr. Jabbour's assistant. She was a jewel. Thanks to the whole staff including Rayann, Jackie, Cat, Diane, Amy, Yvonne and Brianna. Above and beyond!!! I took my dad to TB&J Urgent Care, and to say we had "additional challenges" when I arrived with my elderly father, is an understatement. The entire staff was AMAZING especially Deanna, Randall, and Britney. These three individuals were our dream team, using creativity to overcome our obstacles and get to the bottom of my dad's pain and treat him quickly with so much care and compassion, it left me in tears, with hugs all around! And when we were leaving Brandon offered the extra help we needed to get my dad situated to get into the transport vehicle. Went to see Dr. Lovelace this past Tuesday for the first time. Extremely pleased with him and his nurse Emily. I am 76 years old and so many times doctors tend to brush older people off like we dont deserve time they give to younger ones. Not so this time. Took time to really listen to me and move my arms and neck around and then did lots of explanations. Referring me further on to a doctor dealing more with my issues. Explained why and told me about the other doctor. The office people were wonderful as well. Jimaneis was great to try extra hard to get me the very earliest appt as she could tell i was in pain. Just tremendously pleased with the nurse's very jovial and friendly ways, the doctor being so caring and was a good experience even though it was a painful time in my life with my health. This place is terrible, I was told to arrive an hour early and when I got there I was told I had to wait in my car but I rode the bus. They still would not let me in to wait even after telling them I have a spinal cord injury. It is only 34 degrees outside. I will never come here again. read more

This is a huge operation and very impersonal. They treat patients like livestock, but not in a bad way. They have such a volume of patients, they have everything figured out the most efficient use of time and moving around. The building looks pretty new and is very nice. There are so many employees, no wonder everything costs so much. The staff are friendly enough, but you can tell you are 1 of a hundred they will see today. They do all radiology diagnostics in the facility. The place was packed and we waited only 5 minutes in the waiting room and 5 minutes in the treatment room. The Physician Assistant gave us her full attention and updated us on everything, I felt genuine care and concern from her. How can I dis a place that gave my husband a new knee so he can walk again?????? :) read more

Dr Griffin was very polite and professional. I had no issues with either of my appointments. However he looked at my MRI results and told me I did not have a rotator cuff tear, it was an impinged nerve. Good news, so they sent me to PT. But the report sent to the PT says I DO have a rotator cuff tear. Myself and the PT has attempted to contact them to clear up the matter several times. We just need a copy of the MRI results. I turned in a medical release form 3 weeks ago b/c they said that was what was needed. Yesterday, I finally got a letter in the mail saying I needed to pay them 4.65 in order for them to release my medical records to me. Which seems crazy since I paid for the MRI. Now I have to wait for them to mail them. So weeks later I am still in pain and don't know what is wrong. Who knows when the information will come. This is ridiculous. read more

The Rheumatology department and RML/LabCorp by far has the rudest staff I have ever had the displeasurable interaction with. The infusion department treats you like a number game and runs you through like cattle at a sell. No personal treatment or compassion. Most definitely treats great doctors awful!! Thankfully my rheumatologist moved on to bigger and better opportunities. I no longer have to deal with the unprofessional staff thank goodness 100% would not recommend this facility. read more
