I was surprised by the reviews here. Granted, tickets for the event we attended were probably not in really high demand. In fact, the whole upper deck was curtained off. So, we didn't experience any issues with buying or obtaining tickets and seats. It had been years since I attended. The last time was the Woody Guthrie Centennial concert. That was a slick and highly organized affair and I thought this venue was the perfect place for the celebration. This time, it was not as slick or organized but it was a heartfelt event and I thought the staff was great. We definitely needed help finding our seats and they were great. (Floor, barely left of stage about six rows back.) I was a little surprised at the lobby and the "concession" area--very much in need of some sprucing up perhaps. It's still a historic venue and I think we're lucky to have it (along with Cain's) in Tulsa. I would definitely attend another event here and plan to. read more

The only thing this place has going for them is that they're the only venue of it's size in Tulsa. I've tried for three days to buy tickets at the box office (which they claim is open), only to find the doors locked each time. So I wound up ordering online and thanks to their usurious service charges via Etix, it cost me almost enough money to buy a fourth ticket. They have Tulsa by the short hairs, and they know it, and they don't care. The place itself is old, tired, rundown and cramped. Yeah, I know the whole 'historic' vibe thing, but that doesn't matter when I'm cramped in a kiddie sized folding chair that was probably new when Enrico Caruso sang there. For the prices they charge, there's no excuse for the crappy service and environment. read more

Another poor experience at the Brady! Last-minute decision to see IL Divo . Concert had already started but box office wanted full revenue for tickets... OK I asked for best tickets available and she put me in what I would call the cave ! Probably couldn't be a worse seat in the house ! I got screwed ! I tell the truth and suffer the consequences ! I got my ticket online to RuPauls Drag Race Show. I ordered Section C, Row G, Seat 6 and paid $170. When I received my ticket in email it was for Row GG Seat 6 and the price shown was $64.95. We purchased Clutch/Killswitch Engage tickets as soon as we were able to ensure we got our preferred seats. We had a small group going with us. It's beyond ridiculous and unprofessional to email the day of an event and inform patrons that the purchased seating will be unavailable. What makes it so ridiculous and unprofessional? The fact that when we contacted the box office after receiving the email we were told that they closed the balcony because it wasn't going to be full enough and that most of the reserved seats below were filled and they didn't have enough for us so we would have to do GA- pit. Seriously?!!! If we wanted to be in the pit we would have purchased those tickets months ago. It's a shame that management at this venue no longer has fans as a priority. Without the fans there is no band and there certainly is no venue. Couldn't be more disappointed. read more

The Tulsa theater is a great venue for live music and the shows are usually top notch. However the staff on the other hand is severely lacking. I tried to exit the venue right after arriving to pay for the parking spot because I had forgotten to do so before entering, and upon trying to do so I was stopped by an employee, Melissa, who assured me that the parking attendants had left and that I did not need to pay. Lo and behold I come outside afterwards and have a $45 dollar ticket. I went back to ask her if she could do anything and was basically told "oops sorry we can't help you". Also she gave me the line up and schedule of the evening and told me one band was playing before the other, and I missed the set of the band I bought the tickets for because of her. Forty five bucks is a lot of money to just throw away for a parking ticket that I didn't deserve. The staff should have owned up to their mistake and compensated me. I will not be attending any shows at this venue anymore. BEWARE MISINFORMED EMPLOYEES. ALWAYS CHECK MULTIPLE SOURCES. STAFF IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. read more

I love the Brady Theater. Easy parking ($10) and great views from just about every seat. They also have several bars in the back of the Theater but they don't serve food. Just drinks, water, soda and snacks. The only small complaint I have is that the movable chairs in the front, on the floor are not marked with numbers or letters. Probably because they are taken out and replaced as needed so they don't have permanent seat numbers on them. You have to ask people that are already seated or an usher but they are very busy answering all those other seating questions but you will find your seat eventually. The only other tip I can offer is if you sit in the first 2 rows, you will end up with a sore neck from looking up at the stage. The first row was approx 24" from the stage so you are right there looking up the entire show. I sat in the 2nd row last time and I had great views but my neck got a little stiff half way through the show. It has great acoustics and lighting and is a very friendly venue. I have tickets to 2 more shows this year and I'm really looking forward to returning to the Brady Theater. read more

This is a gorgeous old theater in downtown Tulsa that the locals deferentially refer to as "The Old Lady on Brady" or some such cute moniker. I was here with my brother for a show on a Sunday night (we road-tripped from Dallas) in 2006, and it was like a ghost-town in downtown Tulsa (which, incidentally, for dear readers not in-the-know, has a surprisingly dense and "tall" skyline). I remember hanging out in the very festive parking lot talking to some local Oklahoman heads who marveled at the stupidity of me knowingly and willingly choosing to live in California where it was certain that the inevitable life-changing quake would strike. My counterpoint about the equally illogical notion of living a land with a daily twister lottery was not lost on my new friend. About the theater. It is clearly a classic with a ton of character. Why character and the ratio of bathrooms per capacity has reverse correlation is beyond me. I was glad that a single visit to the boy's room was all that was required during the 4 hours I spent inside this theater. I literally think that there are 3 toilets in that place for 1500 people. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. We were literally in the last row in the back of the theater, and still had a grand old time. Never miss a Sunday show, indeed. read more

I know the Brady theater is a historic site and an old building here in Tulsa but it really needs to be refreshed (the last time it was remodeled was in 1952) and the seating in the balcony areas needs to be re-done. I have been to several concerts here and have always enjoyed myself but honestly....getting to the seating in some of the balcony areas (which have the best views, towards the front left and front right of the stage) is treacherous. As far as the acoustics go, it's great no denying that but this place really could use a facelift and many of the worn out seats need to go. read more

Fantastic venue. The only problem is they double booked our seats we bought. Fortunate for us, there was a couple that had to extra seats right behind our seats. If it wasn't for them I don't know what we would have done. They really need to stop over booking through the various online sites. read more

WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. We admitted to making a mistake and asked that they help us correct our error. We spent 4 days jumping through the hoops they required of us, trying to remedy a simple issue of requesting a show exchange, well BEFORE the show date. Whatever you do don't be human, make a mistake and ask for assistance because "policy" is above humanity with this group of owners. They got the last $80 we will EVER spend at this worn down, tragically unkept theater. The building deserves people with souls to carry it on. So sad. read more

It's a shame that the Brady Theater has such a poor ticketing company and box office staff. It is plain to me that those are clear indicators of a failing theater holding on and losing what ability it has to be in the business. In the past I attended a large number of events, and the quality of service has steadily dropped. Now with this most recent experience, it will cause me to never buy a ticket for an event again. We were visiting Tulsa for an event at Expo Square and looking for some additional fun to have on our trip. I found Carlene Carter and John Mellancamp were going to be in concert at the Brady Theater on the Friday night of our weekend and purchased tickets. It was our first time in Tulsa and we knew nothing about the venue, we were more than pleasently surprised! I love old architecture and this place fit the bill! It was like going back in time... beautiful art deco and not a bad seat in the place, including the balcony. Amazing acoustics filled the theater, it was a great time! The place was full, but the organizers did a fantastic job keeping things moving, easy to purchase drinks at the front lobby area and no waiting for the women restrooms. If you've never been to an event there, I hope you someday have the opportunity. If in Tulsa again, I'll be sure to check on what acts are happening at the Brady! Love it!!! read more

You won't get a better seat in Tulsa. The BOK is modern and huge, this is intimate and feels more like reality. I wish there were more places like this in Tulsa, but then again, I don't, because it would ruin the uniqueness of the Brady. I've been going to shows here for over two decades. Great venue but damn. My $35 tickets turned into $52 after all the fees.

I like the history and acoustics of this theater. A bit annoying that the seats aren't staggered, so you're literally looking straight at the back of the person in front of you's head. But small enough to be easy to get in and out of, easy parking nearby. I am going to try to get front of upper level in the future, as I think the views might be better than back of floor. What's odd is the past few times I have been (and to shows where you do NOT expect a rowdy crowd), I have seen worse behavior by other concertgoers than at a dive bar at 1am. Seriously. People getting in loud arguments and inevitably police getting called and kicking someone out. I don't know if they are over-serving people alcohol early in the show or what. If you go, have some courtesy for the people around you. Don't constantly scream for no reason in the middle of songs. Don't talk loudly and excessively during quieter songs. Don't intentionally try to block the view of the person behind you. Don't heckle the band. And if you're going to not-so-subtley take some illegal photos and video of the act, do it quickly. Don't leave your phone hanging up in the air distracting everyone else. Police WILL kick people out for being too obnoxious or obviously drunk. But that means someone had to leave their seats during the show to go complain about you, which is just ridiculous. Brady Theater security/police do not do a good job at monitoring the crowd itself. Have some class, Tulsa. read more

I hope you don't get hot easily because this place is always stifling! I've been to see shows here in the winter, fall, and summer and every time I swear it's been 100 degrees. If you can get seats in the upper deck, close to the front, you will have an awesome view-especially on the sides. When they have concerts, you usually get a wrist band for where they've taken out some seats for a pit. It's not the Cain's, but it works. read more

So Hubs and I visited Tulsa just to see Joe Bonamassa at the Brady. After reading some not so good reviews we were a tad skeptical, but I'll tell you the whole experience was great. I'm not sure what these other people were talking about, but the security staff was polite and professional. I went to a show there a few months ago and did not have a good experience. First off the parking is horrible and we had to hike about 6 blocks on a hot evening. Our seats were about halfway back and the view wasn't good. If I ever go back I'll get seats in the balcony so that I can see the show. I've been to other shows there in the past few years so this wasn't my only experience at the Brady Theater. I'd much rather go to shows at The Joint in the Hard Rock Casino. The view is always good there and so is the sound. I've been to 8 or 9 shows there. read more

I bought my husband tickets in the balcony to see The Piano Guys. When we got there the steps brown to our seats were very scary due to my mobility issues. The seats and leg room are made the young and small. After just ten minutes I was in great pain and did not know how I was going to stand three plus hours. We saw an usher and asked for help. Within a few minutes we were taken to seats on the floor which had large leg room and were fare more comfortable. Thank you Brady Staff for making our experience far more enjoyable. But from now on when we see a concert or event at the Brady we will be buying seats in this section. read more

Last night at The Brady Theater, we took our daughter to a Peppa Pig show. We had purchased 8 tickets because we had other friends coming. Last minute they couldn't come & it was too late to sell them. Looking to do something nice for a family with small children, we gave 5 tickets free of charge to a family that was going to purchase tickets. A lady immediately came over and started screaming at my husband & me in front of my child about "how dare I steal money from her venue by giving away tickets to someone who was going to purchase them." She said I was breaking a law. Now I PAID for each of these tickets.. does that not make them mine? We didn't steal anything & were not trying to sell anything. Is there a law that states that I cannot give the tickets that I purchased for a show away for free to another family? NO. That is not a law. Yes, you cannot resell your tickets within so many feet of a venue, but giving away for free is not against the law. This woman needs to attend a course on customer service. Or maybe she needs to seek a therapist to figure out how to start living a happy life & stop being so rude and miserable. At least 100 people waiting to get in the venue heard this. I had multiple people come up to me saying they couldn't believe how rude she was. We will not be returning. read more

The seats are so uncomfortable, the layout sucks so you wait forever to get out, and there's nowhere near enough space for the amount of people this theatre seats. My first show at Brady Theater was Tears for Fears and it was an amazing concert. I love this kind of smaller, cozy venue and am more than willing to overlook the weird old concrete ramp style trek to upper level seats...especially when the balcony has an unexpectedly great forward position and an amazing view of the stage! This place is old but decently maintained. I did see some seats with duct tape holding them together and found that pretty pathetic - I would have taken pause at paying sixty bucks for a ticket and sitting on duct tape. Tears for Fears was more than worth it though. Great acoustics and sound system. Obviously the show I attended wasn't wild or crazy so the security was sufficient. Restrooms were sufficient and they had a janitorial staff member parked in the ladies room all evening. Very quick and easy access to and from the theater with convenient parking. You could park next door for a fee but we didn't have to walk all that far to on street parking, then again it was a weeknight. I'll watch for future shows at the Brady now that I know how seamless and intimate the concert experience is here! read more

This was my first and last time to this theater, as well as Tulsa. I have never experienced such poor service at a theater before. My husband and I were there November 12th to see Dream Theater. We paid $200 each for the Platinum meet and greet package. We were at the theater 3 hours before the show. At first everyone was great. Our hand was marked so that we could go in and out to take our autographed items to our car. They allowed us to come in and out with no questions. I had a small handbag that had two straps on it so that it could be worn over one shoulder or both. Upon one of our reentries, the door guy very rudely yelled that the bag wasn't permitted because it had TWO straps. We had been in and out numerous time with no questions. It was how he got after us though like he was on a total power trip and such a jerk that was the worst of the experience. We left and came back through a different door, and were able to get in with no questions asked. Then, prior to the show (like 45 minutes prior), I was on my cell phone, sending an email. Security rudely got after me and said no cell phone use was allowed. I was clearly not taking photos and the show wasn't even close to starting yet. Security continued to get after tons of people for being on their cell phones. I understand cell phones shouldn't be used during the show, but not being able to use them prior to the show makes no sense. The following night, my husband and I saw Dream Theater in Grand Prairie at the Verizon Theater, and the difference in service was amazing. No one cared that people were using their cell phones before the show. Security in general was friendlier and seemed happy to have the business at their venue. read more
