Coach Connie was my daughter's first coach. So I can tell you first hand what an amazing coach she is. In all that time, I have only ever seen a safe, positive, and family-oriented environment. The coaches are incredible -- not only do they help the kids grow as athletes, but they also teach respect, discipline, and responsibility. Sometimes children may not always listen or act respectfully, but I know firsthand that the coaches are always focused on keeping the kids safe and guiding them in the right direction. We have trusted Monarchs with our daughter for over a decade, and I can say with complete confidence that this is one of the safest and most caring gyms you will find. If misunderstandings occur, I would hope families take time to reflect and acknowledge if they were wrong, because the coaches and staff here deserve nothing but respect and appreciation for the work they do. YES I DID CALL POLICE FOR THE ASSAULT ON A FIVE YEAR OLD BY A COACH. My daughter is five and had just come back to coach connie after missing 3 weeks of classes. She wasn't sticking the landing so coach Connie wouldn't give her a high five. My daughter was upset and when it was time to send all the girls for water all three girls ran to the water station where I WITNESSED CONNIE GRAB AND YANK MY CHILD BY THE ARM. She turned her entire body around aggressively to threaten her. I ran over and picked my daughter up and told coach connie that there was no reason to ever grab a child like that. My daughter said she was scared and hurting and that coach Connie told her she was going to punish her. I went to the front office where they pulled the footage, confirmed and said my daughter shouldn't have ran around the corner and it is their protocol to grab the child running around the corner. Only my child was grabbed. The coach was frustrated with my child for not sticking the landing and with her crying. This isn't how anybody working with children should react. I contacted the police department which I believe is lapd. They confirmed they saw the coach grab my daughter but that they stated the owner and the coach both said were safety protocols and because she didn't push, hit, or shove that they couldn't prove assault. Disappointing and disgusted to say the least! IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE. DONT GO HERE!

My daughter has swam with Lexie, Kailey, and Abigail and has absolutely loved each of them. She feels so safe, supported, and excited to learn at every lesson. The private classes in particular have made a huge difference--she's gained so much confidence and has learned incredible skills thanks to their patient and encouraging teaching styles. We've had the pleasure of having multiple great instructors over the years. Both my girls have become confident and strong swimmers and are always smiling during their lessons. Before I get in to that - the general improvement would be to : Send out an email introducing you to all staff and counselors, as well as a daily or even every other day general idea of what activities took place that day. You will not meet anyone. On the first day of camp a counselor comes to your car and gets your child, that is as much interaction as you get with staff. Their parking instruction email is more in depth than any other piece of information you will receive regarding your child. Which brings me to the parking situation. On the last day, my daughter excitingly (attempting to) get out of our vehicle with a smile on her face and a few bestie gift bags in hand was met by a smiling Counsler ready to help assist. My child lock was stuck and so I had to manually lift the lock and help, but while doing this, Deborah Turobiner came up anxiously and loudly saying "WE HAVE TO KEEP THIS LINE MOVING" very condescendingly and aggressively whisking my child away (along with a few other snooty remarks). I contemplated turning around and getting my child but knew how excited she was for the last day. I decided I would write an email to the director acknowledging my appreciation for Deborahs dedication to ensuring everyone get to camp safely.. but that she could go about it with a better attitude .. A few hours later, I received a phone call from a counselor that "my daughter was in the art class decorating glasses and her own glasses have gone missing". I then got a call from the director "your daughter was changing for a fashion show and put her glasses in her pocket" (nice - putting it all back on the 7 year old" Days and days go by (I said I would give it a week for them to find them until I would seek compensation" these are medically necessary glasses.. my daughter has very weak eyes that cross without them) They claimed they found them! Woohoo! I head over pick them up only to pull off, have my daughter put them on to say "these aren't mine mom" I pull over. Same color glasses.. different brand and smaller. I sent a receipt showing how much I had paid for the glasses a WEEK prior but the director had the audacity to say it wasn't an itemized copy. As if I would LIE about the cost of the frames. It wasn't until I posted on social media that I got a response saying this situation would be handled. Parents ask yourself this: If a business who is responsible for children could lack accountability for weeks over.. glasses.. would you trust them with more serious situations. Any rebuttal to this review would just go to show they have a very difficult time taking swift action and accountability.

My kids have been going to Art Camp for seven years!! Every year they ask to attend more weeks…read more Before and after Covid, and even through it virtually, my kids have enjoyed so many activities from cooking, science, magic, games, theater, and so many more. They come home each day tired and full of stories about their day. The Art Camp owner and directors make sure each kid has a place to find their fun during their week(s) at camp. This camp has become an automatic part of our family's summer plans and often winter/spring breaks as well. I highly recommend Art Camp- as I always tell people, it's not just art!!!

Extremely Disappointed - Do Not Send Your Kids Here…read more My son attended Camp Keystone last summer and loved it, so we were excited for him to return. Unfortunately, this year has been a completely different--and deeply upsetting--experience. At pickup, my 6-year-old was in tears and told me that a 13-year-old Counselor in Training yelled at him that he was "tired of him" and then threw him to the ground. Yes, my son had thrown a piece of chalk--something we've addressed and made clear was wrong--but the violent and aggressive response from an older child in a leadership role is completely unacceptable. Worse, there was no adult supervision when this happened, and no camp staff informed us. We only found out from our son. When I contacted the camp, they minimized the incident and failed to take any real accountability. The 13-year-old was not dismissed, and in fact, is being allowed to remain in the Counselor in Training program and return next summer to supervise other children. The camp's own Code of Conduct says it will not tolerate violence--but they are clearly not following through. This was not just a kid-to-kid disagreement. This was a teenager in a position of responsibility physically assaulting a child half his age. If Camp Keystone does not take this seriously, parents should. I can no longer recommend this camp to anyone. There is a complete lack of oversight, accountability, and concern for camper safety. We will not be returning, and I urge other parents to think twice before sending their children here.

They go to the pool every afternoon also (pack $ for your child to buy snacks there!). They are basically outdoors but in shaded areas and the indoor area is all open. I also love that they are mobile! We just started our almost 3 year old with Coach Annika and just after the first class, she is now much more comfortable putting her head in the water. Coach Annika was great with her and made her feel at ease and comfortable. She also made the class very fun for her and something to look forward to. All the kids improved drastically over the course of the time we've been working with Nick and I think their class has instilled a love of athletics and good sportsmanship in all of them. Not only is Nick a great coach -- knowledgable, patient and able to communicate his instructions well -- he has a great coaching presence that the kids really respond to. They listen, they're engaged, they learn and they have a great time. This was on full display during a birthday party we attended where Nick organized and entertained a large group of young kids and had everyone participating and enjoying themselves. We also took swim lessons with Coach Paulina and our son went from wearing a swim vest in the water to being a very strong swimmer in a matter of a couple of months. Paulina has a great way with kids, making them feel comfortable in the water, having fun, but also challenging them to take the next step and make progress. We couldn't recommend NH Sports more highly, everyone has always been punctual, the admin and scheduling flawless, and the coaching first-class.

My wife and I have been taking our daughter to we rock the spectrum for years now. Since…read morerestrictions have lifted since the pandemic, we've started brining her and our son to them now. They're wonderful. Recently, my wife and I were planning my son's birthday and everything fell through the day before. Every vendor cancelled, the jumper company said they couldn't deliver because they didn't have a generator to spare, etc etc. My wife and I scrambled around the Internet looking for a location last minute and get ahold of everyone who RSVP with us about what was happening. We Rock The Spectrum answered that call, they filled that need. Not only were they accommodating but they were also affordable and so very helpful. SIO and Evan were amazing. I wish them all the success and I wouldn't think twice about going again with my family. They really were stellar with the kids and the panicking adults. (Toddler birthday parties am I right ? IYKYK) They helped set up, distracted the children and even helped us pack up as we were leaving, all the while having a smile. It was a big deal to my wife and I and the rest of our family because I know my family and friends can get loud, and expressive. If you have an event, I believe they can help. Which we understand there's no discrimination but we were hoping for a safe place for us to bring her. This place has kids not in the spectrum and families don't understand that kids on the spectrum have trouble with interacting with others. We felt so discriminated here mothers and Nannie's giving us looks because our girl was a little loud from excitement. There's lots of places down the street and in the area that have the same layout but it's not meant for kids on the spectrum they could go to. They should at least put a 3 hour time frame only for kids in the spectrum. Very unfortunate we thought we found a safe place for our little on in the spectrum instead we left heart broken with lots of dirty looks. Horrible experience.
