We attend Monday sessions with our 5 year old son who truly can't get enough. He counts how many "sleeps" he has until his next gymnastics class. All of the coaches are wonderful but a quick shout specifically to Coach Alexa who is an absolute rockstar! My son is a handful but Coach Alexa is patient, attentive, kind, and encourages him to do the best he can. She motivates him and cheers him on throughout the lesson. The commissioner is weak and easily intimidated by members of region 71 board. The board members are classless locals. Your average run of the mill raci*ts. The coaches are no longer members of the community, but are brought in from Van Nuys, and other vagrant neighborhoods. The parents are insufferable. From the gossip and over dramatized low brow refs to the soft heads of this region the whole thing is a sh*t show. Bring security with you to practices and games. Record everything and stay safe out there.

They don't realize that they are only paying for the uniforms and field permits. Everything else such as coaches and referee are all volunteer position requiring parents to step up and get involved in their children activity. Some how the West Hills community seems to think of soccer as a hobby or daycare and very very few get involved. Tip: for the parents help your kids team prep the field, setup and goals, help paint the lines, help clean the field, remove debris and rock. Everyone you see out there is working for free. Let's go West Hills step up. My kids have aged out and had a wonderful time.

When my son started at a new school last year,…read morehe was going through a lot of changes and, like many kids, he struggled with how to express everything he was feeling. His behavior began to change, and we were constantly receiving complaints from school about him acting out. We had tried other jiu-jitsu studios before, but enrolling him at Level Up was truly one of the best decisions we could have made. From the beginning, Coach Alex has been incredible. He has taught my son so much more than jiu-jitsu, he has taught him discipline, respect, confidence, accountability, and important life skills that he carries with him outside of the studio. My favorite thing about Level Up is the strong sense of community. The instructors genuinely care about the kids and make every class about becoming a better person, not just a better athlete. I especially love that they introduce a new life lesson each month and give the kids opportunities to earn patches through activities like book club, bully-safety workshops, and other character-building programs. The family events are another huge bonus. It really feels like you're becoming part of a family rather than simply signing your child up for an activity. The difference in my son has been amazing. He is now more disciplined, respectful, confident, and well-behaved, and I truly believe the lessons he has learned through jiu-jitsu at Level Up have played a huge role in that transformation. This place has kids not in the spectrum and families don't understand that kids on the spectrum have trouble with interacting with others. We felt so discriminated here mothers and Nannie's giving us looks because our girl was a little loud from excitement. There's lots of places down the street and in the area that have the same layout but it's not meant for kids on the spectrum they could go to. They should at least put a 3 hour time frame only for kids in the spectrum. Very unfortunate we thought we found a safe place for our little on in the spectrum instead we left heart broken with lots of dirty looks. Horrible experience.

I grew up dancing myself, so I knew I wanted to find a studio that wasn't too packed or chaotic, but somewhere that felt welcoming, personable, and where my son could really enjoy himself. His teacher, Ms. Jace, is AMAZING! She's so welcoming, patient, and just has such a beautiful way of working with toddlers. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and she makes the little ones feel so comfortable. We ended up picking this studio and signing our son up because it was exactly what we were looking for. From the classes they offer, to how they help the little ones transition, and just the overall vibe of the studio. Everything felt right, and I'm so so so happy we found this place! Monarchs Gymnastics has been like a second home for our family. My daughter has been doing…read moregymnastics here since she was three years old, and she's been on the team for the past six years, training about 20 hours a week. Coach Connie was my daughter's first coach. So I can tell you first hand what an amazing coach she is. In all that time, I have only ever seen a safe, positive, and family-oriented environment. The coaches are incredible -- not only do they help the kids grow as athletes, but they also teach respect, discipline, and responsibility. Sometimes children may not always listen or act respectfully, but I know firsthand that the coaches are always focused on keeping the kids safe and guiding them in the right direction. We have trusted Monarchs with our daughter for over a decade, and I can say with complete confidence that this is one of the safest and most caring gyms you will find. If misunderstandings occur, I would hope families take time to reflect and acknowledge if they were wrong, because the coaches and staff here deserve nothing but respect and appreciation for the work they do. YES I DID CALL POLICE FOR THE ASSAULT ON A FIVE YEAR OLD BY A COACH. My daughter is five and had just come back to coach connie after missing 3 weeks of classes. She wasn't sticking the landing so coach Connie wouldn't give her a high five. My daughter was upset and when it was time to send all the girls for water all three girls ran to the water station where I WITNESSED CONNIE GRAB AND YANK MY CHILD BY THE ARM. She turned her entire body around aggressively to threaten her. I ran over and picked my daughter up and told coach connie that there was no reason to ever grab a child like that. My daughter said she was scared and hurting and that coach Connie told her she was going to punish her. I went to the front office where they pulled the footage, confirmed and said my daughter shouldn't have ran around the corner and it is their protocol to grab the child running around the corner. Only my child was grabbed. The coach was frustrated with my child for not sticking the landing and with her crying. This isn't how anybody working with children should react. I contacted the police department which I believe is lapd. They confirmed they saw the coach grab my daughter but that they stated the owner and the coach both said were safety protocols and because she didn't push, hit, or shove that they couldn't prove assault. Disappointing and disgusted to say the least! IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE. DONT GO HERE!
