Wonderful experience and very pleased with my purchases & choices in luggage. Having quality luggage is very personal and Tumi has luggage that is long lasting and stylish. Yes, it is costly but I shop the Tumi Outlet Store in Cabazon near Palm Springs for two reasons, Customer Service & Same Quality Product but at a lower cost. Rachel and her team had seen me on several occasions but I wasn't ready for the big purchase. But on this day I was. Rachel and her team members showed me several pieces and too explained the discounted prices and sales. They were very thoughtful in considering my favored pieces and too helping me pick a large 4 wheeled trunk I had been admiring. My personal bag and international carry on I replaced and the heavy duty checked bag was an added purchase. I've shopped many Tumi stores always checking inn the styles and changes and of all, Tumi Cabazon has always been the most friendly, welcoming, and first to offer help regardless of browsing or purchasing. So when it came time to purchase this season, I specifically went to their store and shared my purchase with them. There were very few people in the store compared to others in the outlet mall since there were lines at some of the stores. Generally, people social distanced and wore mask. Any one who travels frequently knows how important a good roller bag is, especially now that the airlines are charging for checked luggage. This Tumi outlets prices are phenomenal!!! Go to Macy's and you can spend $400+ for one of their roller bags or $200+ for a messenger bag, even with their 10% "Sale" discount. Go to the Tumi outlet, and you can find the SAME bag, laptop carrier, or briefcase for 40-65% off!!! The staff here is superbly helpful and incredibly knowledgeable about the products they represent! All you have to do is call ahead, make sure they have what you want, and they will hold it for you. How terrific is that? So can someone who is reading this go pick up Helen??? Over the years I've had 5 or 6 pieces of tumi luggage. I have sent 2 pieces back for repair and both came back refurbished, they were like new when I received them and both pieces were black leather, so it did take some effort on their part, which was and is certainly appreciated, very good stuff. . And they continue to churn out new stuff every couple of months. The products are sturdy and functional, with a touch of style. I was introduced to this brand 2 years ago by a friend. Bought one of their leather wallets and i've been a fan ever since. Being the type of guy who stuffs his wallet with all kind of receipts, change, cards, and more receipts (what's not in the picture? money!) I typically wear out my wallet in a little over a year. That said, this black tumi wallet I bought has been with me 2 years running and still looking good as new! Went there yesterday with a few friends and was introduced to another gem that I suddenly found I couldn't do without: small tote bags for guys!! This little bag holds my sunglasses, cell phone, tumi wallet, ipod, and even my baseball hat! I can't believe I just found this little guy. Where's it been my whole entire life? I usually have to wear the hat, stick the glasses on the opening of my shirt, hoist the fat wallet on the back of my shorts, cellphone on the other pocket up front, and pretty soon you feel like you're just dangling with whole bunch of stuff around you and you don't know where everything is at any given time. You end up checking around, feeling for your wallet to make sure it's there, feeling for your cell phone to make sure you didn't drop it some where, trying to be careful when you bend down to look at things so you won't drop the glasses. And where can you put the hat when you got tired of wearing it? It goes on your hand so you can feel like an idiot walking around holding a baseball hat! Prices are very competitive here. Bags look exactly like those sold in their flagship stores. Service is very professional and non-intrusive. Staff are knowledgeable in giving recommendations. Tumi offers 5 years warranty and lifetime service privileges. Warranty however doesn't cover airport damages (go figure...). Mind you that they charge a nominal fee for services done after five years but sounds like a good deal. You take your bag to any Tumi store and they ship it to a repair center. You pick it up after a week. Stores also do minor repairs such as zip replacements. Tumi products have a premium price compared to rival brands. With Samsonite eyeing to acquire them it is undoubtedly a leading brand and profitable company in the luggage industry. read more

This is my week of negative reviews, but I'm pretty sick of feeling ripped off and not regarded as a valued customer. So why am I unhappy with Tumi at the Desert Premium Outlets? Well, they offer storewide sales for example, but they mark the merchandise up from one week to another so that the Black Friday weekend sale of 25% off was not real!!! The bags we purchased the week before were the same price because they just changed the way the "promotion" was applied. Shame on Tumi! Cassandra, the employee who sold us the bag the week before Thanksgiving, told us to return on Black Friday weekend with our receipt to get an extra 25% off. We did return and what a nightmare even parking the car. Upon arrival at the store, even though we had the employee's name and the receipts from the previous week, they refused!! Really? This place is a complete ripoff with regard to their "promotions" which are really their everyday prices. Hey guys, wake up! One lost customer due to this review will cost you more than giving us the lousy $20 rebate promised by your employee and then refused! read more

If you're a diehard Tumi fan, you can find items at a discount price, however, a small discount at Tumi doesn't always go very far. You're still going to pay $500 for a carry-on. The quality is great and if you have the money, why not ? What I didn't like and the reason I won't go back is that the one of the female clerks there was not very knowledgeable, unhelpful and a bit unfriendly. There's no point in going to a high-end store, even if it's at an outlet mall, for lousy service. I think I'll just await the Tumi sales at Bloomingdale's or some other nice department store as their sale prices were about the same as the Tumi outlet prices, yet the service at the high-end department stores is usually much better (particularly their return policies). So, don't get your hopes up too high if you're headed to this Tumi Outlet store for any greatly discounted prices or even minimally good customer service. read more
