Gave this place another shot after a mediocre experience last time because my son was getting a haircut nearby. Got a basic gel pedicure which was very rushed. Ripped off my of gel polish with clippers, barely soaked, no heel scraping, cut so short it hurt...whole pedicure lasted about 20 minutes. Charge was $46+ tip. My friend came here in December and asked for a simple design, a straight line drawn across the thumb, and walked away with a streaky, sloppy, and crooked glob of polish on her finger nails. She had to go to a different salon to correct their mistake. I came here, with a simple request and the nails I was given were not similar to my request at all. Upon coming in later and asking if there was any chance I could get them altered I was told simply "no" without any attempt to find a solution. Employees don't seem to care for the quality of their customers nails nor if the customer is happy with the service they paid for. It appears as though once they get their payment they couldn't care less about whay their customers end up with. Very disappointing, as I chose to give them a second chance despite all the terrible reviews I've heard from friends and family. I'm a regular at another salon in the area and only went here because I needed a last minute pedicure and have had good services in the past. This might be the last time I come here. While the space was clean and I didn't have to wait.... That was the only good part. I sat down after another couple and was done well before them. It was clear that the regulars who were recognized as they walked in the door got service on a whole other level. The tub was barely filled, water didn't even go over my ankle bones, the tech ripped my old gel polish off with nippers, clipped my nails super short and left them very square as she didn't file them at all. While she did scrub my heels/feet, before I even walked out you could see the callous and rough skin was not removed at all. Will spend my money elsewhere read more

I'm tired of going into a nail salon where I have to compromise on what I want. The nails are never even. They don't clean your nails and fingers before they get started. I have left three nail Salons because they were not clean my nails properly this year. The funny thing is I'm willing to spend $100 on a set of nails. There's just not one company that I want to yet they can get me to that point. Right now all I'm doing is Simple paint with nail polish not gel polish and a full set or half set. No company has gotten me to the point of design. Why do I want you to do gel when I have to go home and finish the job. My first time here and I will not be back. Been having Turbo Nails put acrylic on my finger nails since winter dryness made them crack and split. They are a clean shop, do a good job ( in a guy's opinion), and guarantee their work. I have been back when my nail chipped, and they fixed it free of charge. I recently went for my first pedicure. They fixed two badly ingrown toenails that a podiatrist messed up totally. Felt great, and the swelling went down almost immediately. They kept sanitary conditions, wore surgical gloves, and were very careful. They take cash or credit cards, walk in or appointments. I've been going here since I was a child and never had a bad experience. Came back for the first time in a while today and super disappointed. The young lady who did my nails did a decent job, but the whole gel manicure took a total of 10 minutes and was very rushed and she skipped or rushed almost everything. She was also on a phone call and ignored me the entire time other than when it was time to pay. I understand wanting to just be done working on a friday afternoon but for $32 it honestly wasn't worth my time or money. Went in to get a full set of acrylic nails. I was helped right away and did the design how i asked. However the lady didn't cut cuticles, push them back or clean up the edges when done. It is a very quiet atmosphere but 90% of the staff were on their phones the entire time. Once i got home I noticed sone patchy spots and a ding. Just received the worst pedicure I've ever gotten... I went in with my mom and we both got the classic pedicures. Our toenails were not cleaned, barely scrubbed and our heels are still rough. Also the drying station does not seem to work. The entire vibe is off and the massage chairs are mediocre at best. Additionally, we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to gel polish at least four times and were looked at weirdly when we politely said no. Hours are convenient for the working woman. Late nites an weekends especially helpful. Annie does a very meticulous job an asks my preferences along the way. When I let her suggest a color it's always better than I would have guessed. The entire place was crowded yet they were wiping an sweeping keeping everything spotless. I recently went in to get a full set gel Mani and pedi. I then went on vacation and my light pink nails turned into brown tinted nails on my hands after two days. Three of my finger nail gels came off completely after 4 days. I am very disappointed in the quality of these gel nails. I've been going to this place for years but they recently had some employee turnover. I asked for the same dip and gel that I'm accustomed to but the gal who did it didn't seem to know how to do it correctly. The gel all started to peel off in less than a week. I went back and asked to have it fixed but the gal only slapped some extra polish on 3 nails but wouldn't fix the rest. I've been going here for a few months for an acrylic fill and gel polish. I've been going because they can usually make the acrylic thin and more natural looking than I've seen before. Unfortunately their gel polish collection is pretty small, and they really only have 4 cards of dnc polish to choose from. I always tip very high, usually $10+ which is 30%. Unfortunately, Today was probably my last visit. They don't "allow" you to rinse off your hands after they've drilled off the old acrylic and it's not just uncomfortable, but causes dust to get in the polish when they paint. I pointed this out to the technician and she just put on more clear top coat, but there is still slight bubbling and dots where those acrylic pieces mixed with the polish. Then usually after the top coat of polish they were giving me a nice oil/sugar scrub, which they didn't do. I asked for it and was just told "no". They also don't have the paraffin wax either unless you are getting a deluxe manicure. Then to top it off they charged me $37. Two weeks ago I was charged $32. Very inconsistent with pricing and I felt like the technician was just trying to screw me over. The owner recognized me even and didn't say anything even though I pointed out that two weeks ago for the same service I was charged $32, there was no change in any of the signage in the salon. read more

Went in for a gel manicure with a friend of mine. They were having a hard time understanding that he himself was also getting a basic manicure (just trimming and cleaning up his nails.) The woman doing my nails was very cold to me. She was rushing so much that she cut my cuticle to the point of it BLEEDING. she then trimmed all my nails to no length. she then rubbed my still bleeding finger with rubbing alcohol. now my nails just look stubby and thick with polish. never going back. didn't tip. read more

Ok.. so went for a nice relaxing pedi , walk in and they were jabbering so loud I put my headphone on and still could hear them through my headphones yikes that is a lot of JABBER and 5 working THATS A LOT of JABBER! So drop my child off at 8:30 AM went further down to my usual nail place -CLOSED opening at 10 bummer so drove 3 miles toward home to TURBO NAILS .. sigh, NOT GOOD walked in at 8:55 and was out the door scraped, filed, massaged and DRIED by 9:10 AM. $28 later plus a nominal tip ( yes Im a retired hairstylist I always tip ). I am not a mathematician but what does that equal per minute? 15 minutes= $28 mmmmmmmhhh . Had the worst mani/pedi experience at Turbo Nails in Chanhassen. I recently treated my kids to a spa day. I am being generous when I say my 13 year old had a 5 minute pedicure (for which I still paid full price). My adult daughter had a mani/pedi and midway through the mani, the person doing it took a smoke break and came back reeking of cigarettes. All the employees were crabby and acted annoyed you were there. With so many nail salons to choose from, I am happy to say I will never have to go back to this one. read more

I have been going to this salon for pedicures for a few months now. I thought they were doing a good job. However, I went here last Saturday and it will sadly be my last time. The woman showed me the menu and I chose the $55 one for me and the $35 one for my daughter. Of course they spoke in their language the whole time which I feel is incredibly rude. You know they are talking about you. When I went to pay my total was $113 without tip! What? The total should have been $90 before tip. I had my kids with me so I did not say anything. I was so bothered by how deceitful this was. Obviously enough to write this review. I am tired of salons doing this. They are not the first. Please stop charging more that you told the customer. It is wrong! Also, please stop talking in your language in front of customers. It is rude! I will never go back here again.
