Alex and John performed the work today. This is the first time I use Major Panes and I am very…read moresatisfied with their service. Both of the young men's work is thorough and efficient. They are very careful with furniture around the windows. They worked well as a team and got the job done as they described at the beginning. They even pointed out some windows that I need to pay attention - recommended either replace or repair. I accepted their professional opinion and will look into it soon. I recommend highly to anyone who is looking for a window washing service.

I've used Major Panes and been happy with their housewashing in the past, so that is who I called…read morewhen I needed the house done again. This time I added the gutters, driveway and sidewalks too. The crew was scheduled to arrive from 8am to 9am, but called to say they were running a little late and needed to return to the office because they were missing a bolt for the truck. Whether there was a problem with the equipment or they overslept, I'm not sure. But they arrived after 9:30. It is incredibly unprofessional for a service crew to be 90 minutes late, and receiving a courtesy call does not excuse or fix that kind of delay. Then, before they even got started, the doorbell was ringing again by the other guy, and he needed to use the bathroom. I was surprised they hadn't stopped before they came, and it put me in an awkward situation, as you can't really say no. Let's just say he was in there for a very long time. They didn't get started until closer to 10am. They used the spigot in the garage to fill the tank, which even sprayed water out of the tank. So I assume a lot of water was wasted. I will see how much water they used when the water bill arrives. I certainly did not expect to suffer property damage by an untrained crew. I'm not sure whether I was sent a new, inexperienced crew, but they used some questionable techniques. I thought the gutters would be hand-cleaned, not sprayed from the ground, as that angle is not good for the gutters or the roof. They needed to spray downward. The ladder might have moved three times. To make matters worse, despite their company website promising that their house wash removes 'spider webs, dirt, and grime all the way up to the soffits and fascia,' They left hornet nests, spider webs, and heavy stains completely untouched across my front porch ceiling and soffits. At one point, I noticed water dripping from my back door handle. Then there was a small puddle at the bottom of the door. I did contact Major Panes about this immediately, and the office manager had the lead technician come check it out. He came into the house, stood there and saw some water still dripping from my door handle housing. Despite seeing this firsthand in my home, management tried to claim it was due to bad door seals, but that is a scientific impossibility. The water did not leak around the frame seals; it blasted directly out of the hollow mechanical door handle and keyhole chassis itself! Keyholes and internal handle latch mechanisms are moving parts and lack rubber weather seals. The ONLY physical way water can force its way deep into a horizontal handle bore and flood the internal locking tumblers is if an untrained worker stands inches away and blasts a high-velocity jet straight UPWARD, directly into the hardware housing. The spray forced water deep into the hollow door bore and internal chassis. The entire lock mechanism needs to be taken apart, completely dried, and properly treated to prevent hidden rust and eventual failure. When I reached out to management privately to give them a fair opportunity to make things right, the office manager completely deflected and dismissed my concerns. Her stories even shifted to a defensive narrative: yesterday, she defended the bathroom intrusion by writing that technicians are at jobs for hours, but today she suddenly changed it to the first 10 minutes. She completely misses the point that putting a solo homeowner on the spot immediately upon arrival leaves you with zero comfortable choice but to say yes. She then tried to hide behind their contract terms to blame my 2010 door seals for their technical spray errors. I was also shocked that they left the public sidewalk and road covered in dirt and mud without clearing the runoff, yet they had plenty of time to put promotional advertisements on my neighbors' doors before sprinting away. Instead of taking accountability for an incredibly sloppy, untrained crew, the office completely deflected the blame onto me. They clearly do not value returning customers.

For a Christmas present, my in-laws got us a window cleaning through First Class Clean. My in-laws…read morehad their house cleaned by FCC a few weeks earlier and the results were stunning, so it was a nice surprise that they had given us this gift for our house. I wasn't there during the cleaning, but my wife had a positive experience. The guys were in and out relatively fast, and in general were very pleasant. She was at home with a newborn, and they were accommodating to which rooms they cleaned first so she wouldn't be bothered while they were there. A few nits: they cleaned every glass door and window that faces the outside, except the small amount of glass on the door leading to our garage. When my wife asked about it when reviewing their work, they said that it was not included in the estimate so they wouldn't clean it (and my Mother-in-law was under the impression that it was included). Not sure if they had already packed their equipment up, but it would have been a nice gesture to clean that small window. Also, we had a detached screen on our back porch that was leaning up against the window that they laid down on the porch in order to clean the window. But they didn't put it back where they found it, so I came home to see a screen laying flat on the back porch. A final walkthrough to check for these little things would have been nice. A few more positives: they cleaned our chandelier in the foyer and it looks amazing. They even replaced the burnt-out lightbulbs, which had been bugging me for a while. They cleaned our skylights so well that it made me realize they weren't frosted, just super dirty. Also, they removed some spiderwebs around our highest window that had been there for years. Now I don't get disgruntled every time I look at that window. All in all, it was a nice treat to have First Class Clean clean our windows. You never really know how dirty your windows are until you have them cleaned by professionals like First Class Clean. Now our house is brighter and I'm not embarrassed by the state of the windows. We will definitely use these guys again!
