RUN!!!!!!! DON'T WALK AWAY FROM TURF-IT! It shows 1 star.. NOT! I cannot get rid of that 1 star! Horrible customer service. My lawn looks as if the 8 yr old Cub Scout troop installed it. I have large spaces between sod pieces and large whole through my yard. Very lumpy and uneven!!! Turf- it ruined 2 sections of my vinyl fence while moving dirt into the backyard, replaced the sections, but did not install section properly leaving huge gaps in the fence. I told Turf it on several occasions I would be happy to pay bill once work was complete to my satisfaction. They agreed, last week to complete the job the best they could given it wasn't done properly to begin with. Today I was told they would not make things right. They will not fix my fence, they will not even the grass. Basically washing hands of any responsibility for my yard and fence, leaving me to hire a fence company to repair damages caused by Turf-it. A "manager" named KOLE was awful to me, and awful to work with. He was not interested in helping to correct the situation. All he wanted to do was hand me the invoice including late charges, all while completely washing his hands and leaving me to correct the issues. We used this company per a neighbor's recommendation and used them for a few years. The problems we experienced were multiple charges for annual services they never completed especially when they stated they completed a service when they didn't. One obvious service was aeration. I checked the backyard and yup, no aeration holes. We had similar issues when they stated they cleaned out our ran gutters. I was home the entire day they billed us for and no one ever showed, but we got a bill for the service. We've used them for over 2 years and I just got fed up with their disorganized, unreliable and unprofessional services. I feel that this is a terrible way to run a business. read more

They went to my mom's house per her request to get rid of the leaves in her front yard. Two people showed up, raked leaves into piles and left. My mom and nephew ended up bagging and getting rid of the leaves. She received a bill for $80. I called to find out why the bill was so high. I was told they would get back to me. They didn't. I called again. They needed to talk to the boss then call me back. I did receive a call the next day. The bill was $40 per hour per person to rake leaves! My mom was going to have them take care of her lawn but not anymore. read more

Used to recommend this company but NEVER again. Paid $300 for weed control, claimed they used 60 gallons (I have a very small yard) to kill/control the weeds. A week later I purchased over the counter weed killer (less than a gallon) as we were trying to get a yard put in. The weeds died within two days. Turf-It claims they used a 'slow acting solution that takes 2-3 weeks to work because they didn't want to burn up anything'. There was nothing to burn up!! The entire yard was a weed patch. What a joke! Then it takes them more than two months to send an invoice and that was only after we called a few times. Get the invoice for $300. Greedy! This is a company that has used my husband's forklift and other tools for 'free' for many, many years and this is the thanks we get. I've been using Turf-It for years. They fertilize my lawn and other landscaping and I also have them treat for insects on occasion. I have had them come out to check on a lawn concern and they were very prompt and responsive to my problems. Those in the company I've dealt with are nothing but professional and I would and have recommended them to others. read more

I would not recommend this company at all. Last spring I got a quote from Colt over the phone for weed control. Because it was raining frequently, I asked for Colt to call me back with openings later in the week, when the weed spray would be more effective after dried uo.. After a month went by, and I didn't hear from Colt, my weeds were growing out of control and I spent my money elsewhere to get the weeds killed. A few weeks later, I get a bill for weed control. I contact Colt and asked when did he come out? He said he sent a girl to my home to spray and would call me back and let me know what date she did it. I also asked where she had sprayed exactly , since the weeds weren't taken care of, and or how she had gained access to my back lot, since it is fenced. I asked what happened to him coming out on a day that I designated when I was home??? He didn't have a reasonable response. So I waited for his call back and got no response. Another month went by and I get another bill, so I called their accounting department and gave my story. I was again told someone would get back to me. No one called. Another month goes by, and I get third bill. This time I write them a letter summarizing the details of my disatisfaction of their supposed services, letting them know that I didn't intend to pay for weed control done without my permission, my supervision, or my approved date. I invited someone to contact me to discuss the situation. Nothing. This month, I get a bill threatening collections. Unbelievable! read more

I hired these guys to help relive some stress by having them provide a couple services. Biggest mistake ive made! Called them 7 times over 3 days just to finish a job they started and still never happened. So i had to call another company and they came right away and fixed the problem.
