Someone else did the right thing and called the cops to put it out of its misery. When these honorable men arrived the female owner with a buzz cut lost it. The police ended the does struggle and then it all went downhill. This woman proceeded to holler at the top of her lungs all sorts of obscenities and curses at these people. Absolutely disrespectful and angering to watch. The man who I assume is either her husband or brother, silently watched in approval and glared at the policemen. That's the kind of place this seems to be. To be honest this is pretty typical of the owners. On another occasion I went to them to ask for a piece of information. It was the morning and the two were sitting on a log and had thrown a watermelon on the lawn for the deer. The whole occasion was a bit uncomfortable now that I think of it. The woman was dressed in a robe and held a dog. The man was dressed but both were staring me down as I approached them. Perhaps it was too early in the morning for them to deal with customers, but I figured since we were in the public area it would be cool. Not at all. The man straight up ignored me after I asked my question and I walked away with the converse just hanging. That's the kind of people the owners are presenting themselves as. This place is right next to a hippie dippie CBD/smoke shop and an industrial storage yard. They have semis, a bulldozer and random pieces of industrial trash just laying around. If you can deal with this, then hey, maybe this place is for you. The place right down the road, closer to pace bend park, seems like a better bet though.

Made a reservation Friday afternoon for a late arrival - someone was there as a park host to help me find my spot in the dark. The grounds were kept VERY CLEAN - bathrooms and showers were spotless. Small-ish pool right sized for the number of pads - didn't really need much bigger. I will say that the price per night is more than you would expect to pay for the grounds, but keep in mind that they are in Leander, just 20 minutes from Austin...taxes keep getting higher and higher and they need to pay their bills just like everyone else. Being new to RV ownership we don't have a ton of experience with campgrounds but I was pleased with my stay and with the staff. Hope we come across more people like the folks here at KOA Leander.

I found E&S llc Property Management while renting a property for Memorial Day 3 years ago. The rental process was wonderful and Sally was prompt, patient and thorough. Everything was perfect for our weekend and it was obvious that a lot of care had been taken preparing for our weekend because of all of the personal touches! My husband and I bought our first rental property a little over two years ago and were lost. We knew we couldn't do it ourselves and didn't even think of calling anyone but E&S. Sally and I talked immediately and the next day we went out to the house she and Earl (the E in E&S). From my first phone call I felt like I knew thet I was dealing with professionals who cared about getting my property not just rented but rented to the RIGHT, QUALIFIED people!  I am so glad I made the decision to have E&S handle our property. They gave me guidance throughout the entire process and still do (much needed), follow up on every communication and keep us in the loop. Our property was rented immediately after getting it ready. I see consistent excellent feedback in reviews and I give Sally and Earl so much credit. The detailed prep that Earl does, from blowing leaves, readying the BBQ, to dealing with contractors and emergencies with the house is truly incredible. The connections to anything and everything that they have is more than impressive. The way Earl and Sally partner to make guests' stay from contact, throughout the stay to the conclusion is seamless. I couldn't recommend them more highly! They're a class act!!!

It didn't help either that there was construction going on 10ft to the right of us with very loud banging noises, if I would of known about that I would not have booked this house. The inside was remodeled okay but the furniture was nasty looking and stained and not very comfortable. Both showers need to be redone with new plumbing and new shower doors needed...one looked like it was made from some type of cheap plastic that wasn't even placed correctly! Management was not very friendly either(Sally). Not that easy to get a hold of like everyone has said...only to be greeted with an attitude.

I booked the rooms under the impression I would have access to pre-sale tickets for the event. Before the pre-sale started, I was emailed and told there were no tickets available. I even waited two months to see if something would change. Absolutely no communication occurred. As you can imagine, evebrusllu this made the entire trip pointless. When canceling I was told I have to pay an administrative fee. However, I asked why I would have to pay a fee when I am not able to attend the event through no fault of my own? Especially when this was all done through the official sponsors and their partners. Seems rather devious and makes me question the integrity of this organization, F1, the associated promoters and the hotel group. So far, Quintrooms has not been helpful in reclaiming a full refund. They only blame their partners and insist that everything is out of their control. I wouldn't ever book hotels if this corrupt organization is involved, go direct. And for hotels and event promoters, stay away from working with this organization. They seem to enjoy throwing their partners under the bus.

I hadn't had much luck and was getting very frustrated with the process. Luckily for me, the Hampton Suites returned my call, and even though they had no rooms available, they referred me to Neil at Austin Hospitality. Austin Hospitality started about a year ago, helping us regular joe schmos, wedding planners, event coordinators, etc; book hotels rooms for large groups and special events, at no charge to us. Having never done this before, I didn't know where to start. After quick conversation, he knew exactly what I was looking for and gave me tons of advice, then did all the leg work for me. I got to kick back, enjoy my weekend, then when I got back to work, Neil followed up with me with rates (which he negotiated for me) and contracts. Not only does he have tons of Austin hotel experience, he also knows about what is happening in this city, so he could really be an asset for someone that lives outside of Austin looking for help booking something here. He even gave me advice on where to go on the 4th of July. I'm kind of sad that I don't have any more rooms to book, because I really enjoyed working with him.

The bats…read moreexit from underneath the Congress Bridge and the smell of corn chips lets you know they're coming. That's right, these Mexican free-tailed bats smell like corn chips. I've done this several times as a visitor and a resident. Every now and again we'll walk over from home (if it's not too hot) to get some exercise in as well. The observation center provides knowledgeable and educational information on the bats. As you can imagine, this is a crazy-popular activity and during tourist season (summer) it tends to get extremely busy. The best time to catch our winged friends for their departure is between the months of March and October. This spectacle is something I never tire of.

EVERYONE be Aware of this parking lot. We followed google map got into this parking lot for Bat…read moreObservation Center. We entered the lot with no gate or lot attendant at front. Lot was full with no open spot. We wait 30 minutes for parking than we left. One week later we received a bill statement almost $100 just because we entered the lot. what a SCAM. They said there is a sign when entering the lot stating no free parking. But the sign was hang on the fence and small, see picture. They should have attendant or gate let peoples know what's the fee is and sign if parking lot is FULL. Will file complaint in BBB as well
