I wanted to reach out to leave a message about a manager i encountered at turnstyle consignment eden prairie home side. I had been going through some things of my own, and had communicated that to my manger tami. I showed up to work on the 22nd 20 minutes late. She made a comment to me , to which i didnt take lightly. I asked if she wanted me to go home she said "with that attitude yes". I turned around and proceeded to leave. I was half way out the door when she continued the argument. It escalated , which resulted in her asking for my keys. I left leaving it at that. And went about my weekend unsure if i had a job or not. upon my discovery today i had learned that she had terminated me right after that argument . I felt it was super unfair considering i had told tami to wait and have a conversation with not only Kim but myself as well. She took it upon herself to terminate me day of and not notify myself or kim. I'm not interested in the job i am more so concerned on the lack of managerial ability she fails to posses. I was not allowed any type of warning that i signed or anything of what the reason was that i was fired over. I know she found a loop hole to fire me so she could feel superior. I dont think thats fair or even something turnstyle would want to stand for. Please look into the eden prairie location and especially into the store manager. Look into her time stamps and who is clocking her out(she continually asks different coworkers to clock her out at later times than she leaves) , look into the stores workers and ask how they feel she is lacking in her position. Just look at how many consigners are unhappy and unsatisfied about their experience with lost items, i would also look into how the team feels about her leaving the store every shift to shop with an extreme amt of petty cash. Paper work is always being sent back to her because she does not know what she is doing, she actively gets mad and talks behind coworkers backs. just recently she was upset about a $10 pizza for a few hungry and overworked staff on a sale day when the next day she spent $96 dollars and about 3 hours out of the store mid day( keeping in mind we are allotted $10 PER staff member on a sale weekend) . Look back on the last 3 months of schedules and review how she is barely working sale weekends WHICH ARE MANDATORY FOR FULL TIME STAFF MEMBERS AND MANAGEMENT. Shes barely helping the staff and she loves to take the credit when all the hard work came from other people. read more

Rude people, rude customer service. I will no longer bring my clothes to consign there. Their loss as I have always taken care of my expensive designer clothes, purses, and shoes. I would not recommend this place to an enemy. read more

I love Turnstyles and I frequent all of them in the metro area but this one, despite having both a home store and clothing and being HUGE....is really disorganized and hard to find items. I was recently in Eden Prairie so I stopped in to see if anything changed, since it has been years since I last visited. No...not really...and I will never return. read more

I'll never bring anything to consign here again. The staff is very rude and treat you like they are doing you a favor to wait on you. The manager was the worst. I go to the Richfield store. Much nicer and they take most everything I bring. I bring good stuff! read more

This review is about both the home goods store and their clothing store. When it came to the home goods store, the place is really hit and miss. They just went through a massive expansion, so the store is filled with a ton of goods. The only problem is that no one seems to know how to reasonably price anything. I noticed a pendant light hanging in the store for almost 300$ and you can buy the same light at Homegoods for less than 60$; it just seem ridiculous. Most of the goods were older (guess 1990-2010); it always seems that this place doesn't keep up on current trends, but rather just takes anything and everything so that the store appears full. The clothing store, was in my opinion awful! The clothing is outdated, dirty, and some things had a distinct "smell" to them. I didn't come in to look at clothes though, I can to look at the bags and wallets; as I was looking through the glass cases, one things jumped out at me pretty quickly and that is this place sells COUNTERFEIT GOODS (Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Coach) and they are aware of this, as the label does say "faux" (I personally wouldn't want my store to be carrying fake luxury goods, but to each their own). This alone turned me off and I left almost immediately after touching a pleather (plastic) Louis Vuitton wallet. Overall, I will probably stop in to the home goods store again (because it really is a hit and miss kind of place). I know for a fact, that I will NEVER return to the clothing store, because I cannot support a store that sells (consigns) counterfeit goods. read more

Eden Prairie store has the absolute worst customer service I've ever seen. Since they take in clothing for free, and sell it and keep 60%, it seems like a business model that couldn't fail. You'd think they'd be happy to see customers. Whatever is going on in that particular store is broken. Employees are rude! I will NEVER go there again--waste of time! read more

We found out about this store about 3 months ago. My wife wanted to try out selling some things so we brought 10 items in there and the ladys were real nice when we signed up. The only thing bad I could think of was the dirty carpets through the store. 2 weeks later we went into the store since we were courious about it and wanted to see how quick things more. We were looking around and couldn't find our items. After spending 30 minutes hunting with the sales lady, they were sitting in in a pile up against the wall. Kinda irked me but brushed it off. The ladys were nice that day so that made up for it. The other day, our 2 months were up. I called over there and they told us that we had $55 worth of credit there, so I told her that we would be in within the next 24 hours to pick up our items so please pull them. I went to pick up the left over items and had to spend a good hour hunting for them and found out 1 $30 item was damage so it had to be thrown away. Had another $100 item that grew feet and never got it it back. The 2 ladys were beyond rude. They cocked an attitude about helping me find our items, answering 4 other general questions, etc. Then they cut us a check for the amount sold, and I asked her for a print out for what was sold and she got even more pissy. Looking at the paperwork I found out that some things were sold less than what was advertised. Sold a $250 thing for $40 or $42. Its like wtf. I will give it one thing, its easy if you want to bring junk there that you don't care about. If you bring in $700 WORTH of stuff and expect $50 this is the store for you. I was hoping for $250-$300 like what was described when we were signed up. I might as just as well used Craigslist. read more

HORRIBLE STORE!!! I brought in several items to the home goods store to consign. I assumed that they had written the items they had accepted onto my receipt correctly so just said "thank you" and continued in my way. But when I checked the receipt on my way home, two of my priciest items that they had accepted were missing. I went back to the store so they could correct the receipt, and they told me the receipt was correct and that I was mistaken, even though I saw my 2 omitted items on the shelves behind them!!!! I've been to this location a few times and I've gotta say it's not my place. The service has always just been mediocre, the selection is not targeted toward moi (i.e. the immense selection of Chicos, & Charlotte Russe), and their few racks of a "Designer" selection always seems a bit overpriced. However, I did spot a gorgeous black lacy BCBG floor length dress, yet with a few stains. If only prom was calling my name, I would have snatched that dress right up and make a few fixes! Moral of the story: It appears most clothes that are consigned here are from teens & mom's over 40. However, as consignments clothes can switch out almost regularly, there can always be a shift in the merchandise. I have found a lot of success at Turn Style Home, which is located right across from it! Turn Style Home, see you soon. This place is pretty good for shopping if you hit it during the seasonal clearance. You can get some good stuff for a really great price. However, IMO, their regular prices are a bit overpriced for used clothing no matter how good of condition it may be in. Which brings me to what really irks me about this place. The consigning leaves a lot to be desired. I've brought in stuff on several different occasions over the years and I'm lucky if they accept 1/4 of what I brought in. I only bring in the best of what I have and they still don't want to take it. It's as if they are too snooty for my clothing. So I'm done with Turn Style. There are plenty of other places that would be glad to have my nice, unwanted clothing without the attitude. read more

I love this place. Quite a variety in both the home store and the regular apparel store. My Mom has brought over a number of items and we have made a formidable chunk o'change. (The things they don't accept, we still donate to charities.) Last week, I discovered another one across from Rosedale. I scored an Ellen Tracy Silk gown, a pair of NEW Adidas "bounce" tennis shoes, and 3 blouses for a mere 59 bucks! Check it out! read more

Definitely meh. I've found some cool stuff that I like but usually I could buy it for the same price brand new at Target or JCPenney. Once I went in and saw an aluminum table with a plastic top (made to look like cast iron and marble mosaic) that was listed for $130!!! It probably cost about $60 new. They also described it as "cast iron and marble" which it most certainly wasn't. The music is also horrible, but at least their selection is ok as far as furniture goes. read more

The Home store has a few decent things if you are purchasing, but I've been treated very rudely when bringing items in. Then I look around at a lot of the junk they accept and I don't understand why they turned up their noses at my things. Should call themselves "TurnedUp Noses" instead. Rude!!! Avoid!! read more

First of all, if you have NEVER consigned before, you need do do your online research AND a great way to see how much your used clothing is worth, or to get a range, go on EBay. If you can't find your items for sale online, chances are they are out dated, even if you sent a lot of money on them, no one cares how much you spent on them. Style and quality. People leaving bad comments are Ignorant and have no idea what they are doing. I've been consigning to this location and other locations across the area. This store is BY FAR my favorite location to consign. I live in Los Angeles, where we are spoiled rotten with posh consignment stores. The girl that works in back to handle your consignments is a sweetheart! When you are a consignee, it's more like a business relationship you have with the employees. They aren't your slaves. They carefully select items and they give you a reciept with the styles they took for different seasons. If you want your items back, it's not their responsibility to look through the racks, it's yours! Your items you sell are USED, even if you wore it once. If you have über expensive designer items, that you wish to get the same amount as you paid for them, try a Designer Consignemnt store, but chances are, they will still only prices the items for their current used value. It is important to do your research about Consignment in general before assuming you think you know everything. You will not become RICH selling used clothing! *Besides my LONG Speech.......the store has been recently remodeled. It is very clean. Everyone is really nice and I've never had any issues with any of the employees. They all have a positive attitude! When I visit, I always bring a girlfriend and it's nearly impossible to get her to leave the store! They have a GREAT selection, you just have to look! And dig through racks! The store is very large, don't expect to go in there thinking its organized the way it's convienant for you! You'll spend a good hour or so shopping! * read more

I have found great deals at Turn Style EP. I also sell there too. You can bring clothes or home items any time 11-7 weekdays, which is so convenient. They have quality clothes, not Target or Wal-Mart brands. I found tons of home furnishings for my daughter's apartment. Would recommend this store! read more

Like other posters - dishonest, and the staff got excited about a fixture I brought in to buy for themselves, and then it was conveniently lost. They lost 1/2 of my stuff, and said it was donated. Ah....they took it home. Dishonest - run! read more
