    Our wine tasting
    Kyle F.

Turnbull is the easiest five-star review I've ever written. No hesitation, no second-guessing. I've been a fan for years--quietly, consistently, the way you admire a great old leather jacket or a perfectly broken-in pair of boots. Understated elegance, a winery that doesn't need to shout. No billboards, no flashy ad campaigns. Just a simple gold bull on a stark black or white label, a quiet nod to those who know. They sit on the Rodeo Drive of Napa, surrounded by places desperate for attention, yet Turnbull refuses to play that game. The grounds? Immaculate but not pretentious. A couple of vintage trucks, the logo discreetly painted on the door. A barn-meets-gallery space, effortlessly cool, filled with rotating black-and-white photography collection that tells its own story. The wines--yes, they're expensive. For some, a stretch. For others, a bargain, considering the quality. Our tasting stretched nearly two hours. Slow. Detailed. Thoughtful. Extra pours to compare, to contrast, to explore. This wasn't a transaction; it was a conversation. A place where wine nerds like me aren't just accommodated but understood. More than any other winery I visit, Turnbull makes me feel like I belong. They're not just selling wine--they're welcoming you into something bigger. A connection, a philosophy, an experience. That, to me, is worth every cent.

I worked with Turnbull for a company event. The event just so happened to be during a heatwave - Turnbull communicated to us ahead of time and suggested that we should move our event inside and placed us in a cool wine cellar. The wine was stellar and the event ran smoothly. We did a 18 person tasting with a cheese board for a affordable price. All of our guests raved about the location, venue and service! Our contact at the winery was Lauren, she was very communicative and accommodating. I would be happy to return here for another company in the future!

Amazing! Turnbull is one of the best wineries in Napa. I would go all day any day. The wines are exceptional, the ambience, the service!!! everything is top notch.

This is definitely a place we hope to return to. The wine was all so delightful as was our server. He was friendly and funny and allowed us to do a blind tasting which was super fun. The location and ambiance were everything you could want when sipping on some Napa vino. Highly recommend making a reservation!

Always in stock!! My favorite Turnbull wines :) :) Black label and Cabernet Sauvignon

I love Trumbull! It's my favorite winery at Napa. The service here is awesome! If you are a member ( which I am) , you get several perks including a private wine tasting for you and your friends at discounted price. My favorite wines, which I highly recommend are - Black label, Leopoldina, Josephine

    Yes, please Josephine.

The girls and I decided to pay Turnbull a visit on our last day of one of our frequent trips to Napa Valley. We made an appointment for the four of us to taste. Erin was our host for the afternoon. She made our experience entertaining and fun with her side jokes, and wine knowledge. We even got to know a little bit about her and how she ended up in the Napa Valley. We were all seated around a wooden coffee table with plushy seating in spacious, lofty interiors and given a few different reds and a white to taste. The reds varied in taste (light to heavier) and were all good, but I went for their sauvignon blanc. I'd had it before on previous visits and enjoy the crisp, refreshing finish. Tasting fees are waived with purchases. So I decided to buy a bottle of the Josephine. If you walk around the grounds, like every other winery they are manicured nicely and there is even a sunny outdoor seating area to enjoy your wine. I wish we'd been seated in the serene outdoors, but it looked like that area was packed already. Everyone seemed to be getting in their last hurrah before another full lock down. Appointments are the way to go nowadays. Turnbull serves some good wines that are in the medium price range. So this is a regular stop amongst our rotating choice of novelty wineries and usually a perfect last stop for us.

At a dinner party got a taste of Turnbull wine and loved it. Finally had Turnbull be one of the stops on our Napa trip. The inside is cute and has a cozy feeling. They have holiday decorations up making it smell great. The tasting consists of 4 different wine. Omar was knowledgeable and attentive during our tasting. The Sauvignon Blanc and Leopolinda were my favorite and came home with us.

With the unexpected fires nearby we sought refuge at Turnbull. Despite empty tables and full staff, they were completely inflexible - knowing their reservations were caught in the very same unexpected traffic we were. This was not only disappointing it was antithetical to the spirit of this community.

The tour of the facilities was also really well done and added to the overall experience. I am a white wine connoisseur because of my dietary restrictions with most ingredients in red wines, especially cherries and plum, that trigger my stomach pain and headaches. I have missed enjoying red wine because of this. I was hoping and praying that when my friends who are members of PEJU planned this wine tasting treat, that my stomach and head would be fine and to my surprise, my palate, tongue, stomach and heart were pleased with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Fifty/Fifty, and more, including reserve reds Todd served and educated us about! I have NEVER enjoyed red wines like these I tasted at PEJU. Since the time of our outstanding wine tasting experience, I have recommended and raved about Todd and PEJU winery to friends and family who appreciate and value high quality wines and winery experiences. It felt like a vacation getaway being in the tasting room building, admiring the breathtaking stained glass art, all of the art inside and the beautiful art and nature views outside. I appreciate the PEJU staff and management team who welcomed us and were kind to us all the way to the end of our wine tasting experience when we left. PEJU is also one of the few wineries with a permit to serve food. If I had known ahead of time, I would've planned to eat here! The rilettes were super tempting, but Joseph advised that if I was planning to eat a meal afterward to stick to the chips and dip - this ended up being quite a generous portion as well, and I really enjoyed the goat cheese truffle dip alongside the wine tasting :) Overall, PEJU is definitely a beautiful winery to visit with excellent service, and I'll definitely be back!
