Honest & professional. Turner's called us back promptly to communicate the schedule on their end and followed through with those expectations. The major kitchen appliance we need repaired is almost 30 years old. After taking a look at it and trouble shooting, Toby advised us that after replacing the very expensive vintage broken part and paying for what would be a full day of labor, we should instead start fresh with a new appliance. He took the time to show me what was wrong so I understood the problem and solution. Very professional and trustworthy person. I appreciated the extra gesture that both employees were wearing masks and gloves out of courtesy and precaution. In December of 2012, I hired Ken Turner to install a microwave oven to replace the existing built in one. He charged me $120.00 per hour and I was charged nearly $600.00 for a routine job. He even borrowed my tools! Stay away from this installer. He is way overpriced and lacking in simple know/how. read more

I hired Ken Turner to fix my clothes dryer. I was charged approx $260 (mostly labor) to have a small part replaced. The part itself costs about $20. I would've been fine paying for about an hour of labor, because that's really all that should've been involved in swapping the part out. This guy really knows how to run up his billable hours though, citing other problems which I don't believe to be related to the initial cause for the repair needs. A bogus "service call" fee was also added in. Knowing what I do now about these types of appliances, I'll be more cautious about hiring an 'expert' to take a look at it. Some simple troubleshooting could've help avoid the large bill for service. I would definitely recommend the DIY route to others for this type appliance, but I'd also suggest staying away from this guy and and his company. read more

Ken Turner has serviced our appliances since we moved to Sea Ranch over 20 years ago. In fact we only buy appliances we know he will service because we've found him to be entirely professional, which means respectful, courteous, kind, thorough and reliable. I've never had to call him back on a a repair. Sometimes it takes a little time to get parts: we all live in the boonies here. I can imagine him being matter of fact in stating to a customer that he doesn't service a certain brand (Sears, for instance: they're covered by the Sears repair folks who come up here), but never rude. The job he's done for us consistently merits his labor charges, in our opinion; I think a good appliance repair person should make a living wage, too. And Ken Turner is excellent. read more

I have worked with Ken over the years and have always been pleased with his work and his demeanor. He's busy and that means we've had to wait for him to get to us, but I have found him very easy to discuss the appliance issues we've had and to do exactly what he has said he would do. Don't deal with this person. he is rude, uncooperative and entitled. he refuses to come for a repair on an appliance in which he is the only service person within 60 miles.....just refused. yet he drives even farther to another area. Dacor should fire him. I am certain he gets paid quite well for his work for them, mileage and all. so don't bother with this man. not worth the insulting attitude. read more

Rediculous service charge was 161.00 for coming to our home in Gualala . He called when he was in town on another service call and asked if he could come that evening. He was 3 miles away!! 30 minutes later and 2 springs changed on the dishwasher door, $191.00 ! Never again! read more

We have Kitchenaid and Fisher & Paykel appliances. Turner Appliance has always solved our problems and they're the only ones I call when something goes haywire. read more
