I question their credentialing. No one there seems skilled and yet they call themselves skilled nursing. They are rough in handling patients, especially very fragile ones. The RN's care more about inputting data on their computers while looking at their phones instead of offering personal touch and engagement with their patients. There is ALWAYS an excuse as to why results are not given, labs aren't drawn, and assistance is nowhere to be found! They deliberately ignore the call light and if you call it to their attention, they get pissed off at you and your family and will not attend to any critical needs or concerns. They do not know how to assess the needs of their patients. Each person that comes in is handled in the same manner; whether you have just lost your legs and can't walk or whether you got a paper cut. It doesn't matter. No one matters to the staff. They pretend to care but at the end of the day, they don't. Your family member is WAY BETTER OFF going home to rehab in the comfort of the home. My mother was there for broken hip rehab, developed a very contagious stomach infection (out of the blue), became severely dehydrated after 4 days of uncontrollable diarrhea and neglect to treat properly. I removed her from that place and took her to the ER where we were told that she was in renal failure and extremely ill. Three days later, she passed away. What an utter shock to me and my family to bury my beautiful mother this past week. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

This cost her much pain and led her to cry and scream, which the staff dealt with in the most humane and compassionate manner. They spoke softly, encouragingly, and continue to let her know that they were doing the best they could to help her without causing her any pain. She is always clean, dressed and clean clothes, and in a good mood when I come to visit. The staff to patient ratio seems extremely high, and the executive director is very approachable. This is a hated subject among the residents, 50 percent of the time, if not 75 percent of the time no one likes or eats the food that is served. I have watched as the residents return their trays and without eating anything but maybe the dessert. Come try it for yourself!!! I was fortunate enough to order out most of the time or I would have lost so much weight and became sick!!! Because I refused along with others not to eat what is being served. I'm not sure who decides what the residence have for their three meals, But I would bet whoever it wouldn't eat the food served here. Whoever you come watch a meal being served and a elderly man or women look at the food and with tears in their eyes try and stomach the food on the tray because there hungry and that's all there is. But as far as the nurses and everyone here there doing a great job with what they have to work with. Thank You for being there for me and the others. How could i forget this amazing woman Tracy AKA HOT SAUCE LADY One morning i ordered Breakfast Burritos and no hot sauce with the order, but Tracy in Physical Therapy came through She had some!!! Ok City View work on the food Quality for the elderly and i will recommend this facility. Word of mouth goes a long way. Now let's talk about this so-called drinking water. The water here for the patience taste bad, well it should because I find out the water for the patience's here is coming from the faucet in a room that is for other things not water for the sick. it was confirmed by a staff member I didn't get their name. The faucet has NO water Filter whatsoever, but I have seen several Water coolers throughout this facility, but I was told that they were for the staff members/employees. You would think at least one cooler per floor would be nice! Don't you think? once again this is not the nurses or the staff members on the floor this go's higher up people!! Let's get this problem fixed Let's do it for the elderly I believed they deserve at least that. My mother stayed at Cityview for rehab for a few weeks recently. She is quite old and has Crohn's…read moredisease. The night before she left she had stomach issues and soiled her clothes badly. She was not discharged until the late afternoon the next day and when I went to get her belongings there was a clear plastic bag with those soiled clothes and feces still in the bag, they did not rinse them or wash them for us. I pointed this out and was told to leave those clothes so they would wash them and call me to pick them up. I never got a call from anyone and I called the director a few times over the next few weeks and she told me she would look into it and call me back. She has never called back at all. It makes me wonder what else happened when I wasn't there. This was very disappointing and I have never had this happen anywhere my mom has lived in assisted living or any other rehab facility. I would not recommend it to anyone.

This review is not for the facility itself, doctors or nurses because I declined transferring him there. After talking to the patient advocate, I was told I could go at any time to research and view the facility to help me make a choice. I stopped by one morning and was met with confusion by the person at the desk because I did not have an "appointment". When I informed her of what I had been told, the confusion got worse. Finally, I was told to come back because everyone who could assist me was in a meeting. When I talked to the advocate, she apologized and set up for me to meet her boss and he would give me a tour. He did, in the most cold and disinterested way possible. I decided my husband would not be in their hospital for any reason. I was thinking it would be better because of Baylor Scott & White having such a good reputation, but not at this facility!

Yes i have left a message for the CEO\administrator to call me back. That total disrespect and disregard of a potential patient means MS. Tina does not want to work there anymore and i want to ensure I help her out in that regard. I can't imagine the treatment I would have gotten in a place like this.
