I really want to love this place. I love the atmosphere and the cheesy bread. That's it. I haven't tried their pizza, and it looks pretty good. But, my Stromboli I ate a few bites and brought the rest home for my daughter.

Always love coming here when we are in town. Cheesy bread and pizza, yummy! Our server was great and the Doomsday IPR was awesome

Visiting Evansville after 30 years away, Hubby wanted to go back to one of his favorite college hang out spots. We had the spicy chicken sausage Stromboli sandwich. I loved it - it had just the right amount of kick to the sausage that made my taste buds stand up and say, hey that's no regular Italian sausage. It has a home style pizzeria feel. I really liked hanging there with the man while he told me stories of college. (heart eyes)

Turoni's is one of those community pizza places that has been around forever. They have been making pizza for over three decades, and once you walk in, it totally has that feel. Although built for families - nice big tables, heavy wooden chairs, and large family sized booths - it's dimly lit, and generations of local sports and community memorabilia adorn the walls. The food is good - pizza, sandwiches, and soups. On this visit, I had the chili. Thick and rich, with just a kick of the spicy hot stuff on the end. This was a great appetizer for my favorite - the loaded strom. I added tons of cheese, mushrooms, cheese, peperoncinis, cheese, onions, cheese, and cheeeeeeese. Now what makes this place special is it doubles as a brewery. While they have some nice house selections, I have an affinity for Rudolph's Revenge, a nice red Belgian strong ale; it achieves lots of complexity with its coriander, Belgian candi-sugar, and malted barley flavors. It comes in a smaller portion, due to its 10 ABV, but with a larger price tag. It is worth the extra cost - I usually end up leaving with a growler of the red stuff. The wait staff is nice and attentive, but you definitely want to beat the lunch and dinner crowds. Since it is family-oriented, I typically avoid dining there at dinner time or after a local sporting event, to avoid all the children; during those hours, this place is chocked full of the rascally little Devil's sprog, wall-to-wall.

Probably the best pizza within 500 miles. Prices are crazy portions have shrunk but still good been a weekly regular since 1986.

The go to place for pizza in Evansville. Great beer choices also. They have seasonal rotational beers that are worth a try.

Just a piece of meat on bread. No sauce and onions and peppers on the side in a cup. Sandwich was very below average. Sandwich comes with pickle and chips. I asked if I could upgrade to fries. He said yes. Fries come cold and not very good. Pickle was good tho. Service below average as I had to request refills on drink. Clean and roomy nice small town feel. Here comes the best part. Bill comes and I am charged the full price for the fries. I am not from around here maybe this is the standard here as it's a very small town. I guess I should have ordered a pizza maybe that would have been better. So would I come back? No not even if it was free. Price is not worth the food. No personality in the server.

Our waiter Michael explained that he was the only waiter working, my initial thought was this is going to be a debacle. Glad that I was surprised, Michael and I'm sure the manager never missed a beat, they owned that dining room and made sure everyone was taken care of. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really cool, reminded me of an old saloon with the swinging doors. We shared the Greek salad and the Stromboli. Salad was excellent and the bread on that Stromboli was excellent. In my opinion I would have like just a little less sauce, but that's just me. Great place to chill out and enjoy some good food!

We went to Lobo Lounge about 1:15 on a Thursday afternoon. The place had a couple people in there, but we were greeted as soon as we entered which is a HUGE in my book. I enjoyed the Loaded BBQ Chicken nachos and the BBQ sauce was sweet and mildly spicy. It was delicious. They were actually out of their normal tortilla chips but found a way to improvise as I showed my disappointment. I thought that was really nice and most any other restaurant I've gone to would not even consider this. So I was really impressed with their service. My friend got the pizza with pineapple, ham and brown sugar and it was excellent. She let me sample it. The crust was great, a thin style but crispy chewy... really good. Someone said they allow smoking on their review but that is no longer true. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable and satisfied (as I mentioned early about the chips). The chef that made our food was personable and funny, he even let me sample his own sandwich he had just came up with for himself - it was delicious! Our server was so friendly and prompt, I wish I could remember her name. The prices were a nice surprise and so we will be going back very soon to try a lot of the other great sounding food they offer. They have a parking area across the street in addition to street parking. There is also an outdoor dining area that would be great for the evening or if the weather hadn't been so hot. The only thing negative I can say is the place is a little small but not really intimate because their juke box is a little too loud to have a quiet conversation at least I thought it was too loud for lunch. We were still able to talk, but I felt I had to talk louder than normal and ask her to repeat herself more than I should've. Overall, I highly recommend this little hidden gem.

We ordered just two 10" pizzas, and it took about an hour for them to bring it out. The pizza was just okay, it kind of just tasted like an expensive frozen pizza. Bathrooms were vile. The men's room was dim, covered in pen markings, and the water pressure in the sink was like that of a dog peeing on your hands. My wife also complained about the women's room. She said it was *extremely* dim and the water pressure in there was like a fire hose. Another thing; After we had received an appetizer, a woman, whom I assumed was the manager, was cleaning a table next to us and sprayed cleaning chemicals directly towards us and I felt it spray on my arm and likely in the dipping sauces we were using. Almost everybody in the restaurant was visibly irritated by the sluggishness of the staff, and I believe one group even left early. After we finished our food, it took ANOTHER HOUR just for us to leave the establishment. We had employees pass us dozens of times and never asked how we were doing or if we'd like our check. We were given a couple of half-hearted apologies after we were finally given our change. This place needs to either close up shop, or have a *major* do-over.
