It's been years since I've been to a Turonis and never this one in Newburgh. We decided to have lunch there recently. We started out with Garlic Cheez Toast - lots of cheese and crispy bread. Yummy. Then we each had a 9-inch pizza. I built my own with beef, mild pepper rings, spinach and mushrooms. I love the thin crust and it was crispy all over - no soggy crust here. I really couldn't taste the spinach or the sauce but it was good. I looked at the menu later and there is a 7-inch lunch pizza which I would have liked to have since this 9-inch was too much for me. I wish the staff would have mentioned that to us. Next time! It also was really dark in the restaurant. We had a hard time reading the menu. But I'm sure we'll be back. read more

I am in town for work and sat in the bar area. I had the Bearded Bulldog American IPA and the 9" Lots a Meat pizza. The pizza came out hot and the crust had a slight crunch to it, which was great. Pizza had a good flavor with plenty of meat. The service was very good. The bar area is 21 and over so it was couples in the booths/seating area and a few guys at the bar top. Cool decorations and lighting. I have been here a few times and will be back on my next visit. read more

I grew up in town, but never actually ate here until I had long since moved away. We stopped by on a weekend afternoon, so it wasn't super busy. Good service, kept our drinks filled, didn't have to wait long for food. Interesting interior, seemed like a "we found it at a yard sale" vibe for the wall art. My God! We paid $30 for a medium 12" pizza. It would have been more if we used our debit card. Pizza was great but way too expensive.

I prefer to have dinner in the bar area. Their amber ale is really GOOD!! We had the mozzarella sticks to start, I had the Lots-A-Meat pizza and my daughter had the stromboli. Turoni's is the best pizza in Evansville, hands down! Try any location and you won't be disappointed! We love it and frequent often when we are in town. This location is on the outskirts of Evansville in a wonderful little town known as Newburgh. We have family there and love to meet up for food and drinks. Turoni's has a full bar area where you can seat yourself if everyone in your party is over 21. If not, they will get you seated quickly in the other side of the restaurant. Service is always fast and friendly. The food is always delicious. We had the special without olives and tomatoes, cheese bread with pizza sauce, and jalapeño poppers with ranch this visit. We came here on a recommendation. The atmosphere/ambiance had cool vibes The pizzas were very pricey and many of the appetizers charge you 1.83 for any sauce. Service was extremely SLOW and our waitress was busy cleaning tables and getting ready to close her duties for the night. Mind you, it was 2 hours before closing time. For the entire 1.5 hrs we were there we hardly saw her. Service sucked! Maybe don't spend your time cleaning and actually taking care of customers! We just returned from eating lunch today at the Newburgh restaurant. We ordered a meat pizza, with mushrooms and onions on half for my wife. All they have is thin crust, I saw no option for pan or hand tossed. $43, water to drink, barely any leftovers. It did taste good, but nowhere near $43 worth of good. Visited the Newburgh location and my oh my!!! I'm struggling finding a positive thing to review. We visited on a Thursday at 3pm. There were only 3 tables seated in addition to ours. We were greeted by a waitress who said sit anywhere and she walked off. We ordered fairly quickly. A large house pizza, meatballs and bruschetta. The waitress dropped (literally) our food in the table. Never said a word. Food was ice cold. Pizza was placed directly on the table. No pan underneath. (See pic). Finally flagged our waitress down and asked if the food could be warmed up. 29 minutes later the meatballs returned - hot but very bland. No apologies. No refills of drinks. Turoni's may be considered the best in Evansville, however it's the worst in Newburgh. I'd visit the two Evansville locations before this one ever again. read more

This place is a complete joke. When we first walk in we are created by two young women which one was a server and one was what I can assume is the hostess. We were told there was a 15 minute wait but there were open tables. We were told we could sit in the bar though. My 96 year old grandma did not want to sit in the bar. After watching the server and hostess talk about my family in front of us for five minutes they chose to seat us two tables back. My mother who is recovering and we are trying to help her by bringing a bottle of alcohol free wine to which we were told that we can not bring anything into the restaurant at all. The serve said he would go ask his manager only for the manager to come and ask us if we had a question. I understand if it was an alcoholic beverage but the "manager" said it could not even be water. Then to make matters worse our serve came by the table to ask my mother how she was doing on her merlot. I had already told the waiter she was an alcoholic that we had brought her alcohol free wine. This location I am not from Newburgh or even Evansville but I can tell you that I will not be coming back and will do everything to refer anyone to dominos over this place. We went to Turoni's on the advice of some locals. They said that Turoni's was the best pizza in town. Service was about average, and the restaurant decor was old-school sports memorabilia. I ordered a medium pizza for myself which was a big mistake. This pizza was massive. I only finished about half, and had to box the rest. The specialty pizza I ordered had quite a bit of toppings on it and whereas the outside pieces had a nice crispy texture, the middle pieces were a little soggy. I also didn't care for their checkerboard cut of the pizza... I would have preferred a traditional pie-cut (it just seems more natural). Next time I try this place, I will order a pizza with less toppings and probably get a more crisp and consistent crust. read more

Really happy that Turoni's built a location in Newburgh! Nice location near the main highway, but far enough away that it's not right on top of the traffic. It's always pretty busy when we drive by, but we usually just order takeout and pick it up. They have a great drive-up window where you can just pick up your order. If you want pizza go to Turoni's. They have a large and extensive menu that can cater to many. They even also Gluten free ! Everyone claims they have the best. For me Turoni's is the best. we were at Turoni's in Newburgh Friday night order was taken in a timely manor.This is where our experience goes bad after waiting for about 50 min. We watch as our pizza is delivered to the table behind us a few min later they came and picked up the pizza took it to the kitchen,a few more minutes go by and here comes our pizza.We asked the waitress if it was the pizza just taken from the table behind us, she replied that yes it was but it was okay they did not touch it!!!!!! We had a party of 6 and we had a pretty long wait for a table to open up. The wait staff was very friendly and attentative. We ordered the breadsticks and jalapeno poppers as appetizers and they were delicious, especially the poppers. Really good. The crust on their pizza here is thin and crispy.
