I always thought pita was pita everywhere. I don't know if they buy this or bake it themselves but it was warm and rich and amazing! Really fantastic. The beet salad was excellent and everything you'd want in a fresh salad. Dressing was sublime and didn't overpower the rest of what was on the plate. Can't wait to go back! Very reasonably priced as well. We don't drink but it looked as though they had a nice selection of wine and beer.

The restaurant is located in downtown Ithaca and has clean, minimal interiors. The service was quick, making it a good option for a casual meal. We ordered the falafel sandwich and the chicken sandwich, and both were fresh and flavorful. The wraps were a little different from the usual--they were made with a thicker flatbread that was well toasted, giving them a nice texture. I also asked for their hot sauce. It wasn't particularly spicy, but it had a unique flavor and complemented the sandwiches well. Maybe it was a combination of being hungry after a long day of exploring and trying something a little different from the usual sandwich, but we really enjoyed the meal. The photos honestly don't do the food justice--they aren't the best quality, but the sandwiches looked and tasted much better in person. If you're in downtown Ithaca and looking for a fresh, satisfying dinner without the fuss, Lev Kitchen is definitely worth a try.

Been off a few months because not much worth dining out for around here. Decided to get delivery…read morefrom The Garden and I'm immediately regretting it. Not sure who cooks this food, but it was quite possibly the most disgusting worst food I've ever had. Not an ounce of seasoning on anything, and barely anything resembling culture. Ordered chicken shawarma platter, no tzatziki, hummus on the side, rice on the side. Also ordered musakahn rolls, chicken shawarma flat bread, and mujadara. The chicken all across the board was dry as a rock, room temperature, completely tasteless, and crunchy like it was days old. I didn't get the musakahn roll, I got veggie spring rolls instead. They were soggy in the middle and greasy. The chicken shawarma flatbread, I have no idea what the heck they gave me, but it wasn't what I ordered. The menu says comes with chicken, tahini, pickled radish, and toum. What I got was the same days old dry as a rock flavorless chicken with tomatoes, salad, mayo, ketchup, and parsley on it. The mujadara was fine, just basmati rice with some lentils topped with not cooked enough onions. I asked for one toum and one hummus on the side, but the restaurant gave me five toums, five tahinis, five hummus, and five hot sauce. I didn't ask for all that so it shouldn't have sent. My wife didn't eat her food. I scraped some chicken off the flatbread and had a few spoons of rice. Everything else went into the trash. Also, the toum isn't toum, it's mayo with garlic. At least try please. Can't compete or compare with NYC style Halal food, not even remotely.

Tossed is located on Market Street which can be busy during lunch & dinner. They offer Vegan and Vegetarian as well. We arrived just after noon so most of the tables were taken. We managed to snag a table though and ordered. My guy had the gluten free cheeseburger bowl which was delicious! Came with a bowl of Romaine, burger, red onion, cheese, and ripe tomatoes and a tangy sauce Looked so good I had to have a bite and it was Great! I had the Trio of Isles which included 2 homemade Spanakopita. I could tell immediately because of the pastry wasn't the usual store bought puff pastry. And, it was so flavorful with garlic, spices and Pine nuts. The hummus was good and the pita points were toasted and warm when served. The falafel was okay and one was filling with homemade Tzatziki sauce. I managed to eat both falafels. I would definitely come again and just get the Spanakopita-it was Amazing. They do a lot of Take Out. Some of their salads were huge (definitely two meals worth - lunch & dinner) and several patrons were taking what they couldn't finish home for dinner.

I usually get Cate's Buhda Bowl but recently branched out and got the tofu veggie wrap, chock full of goodness and protein. Both are really flavorful and nourishing, generous too. There is another thing that keeps me coming back. Tossed is clearly family-run, and I know that a father-daughter team seem to be mostly in charge. Once, they got my order wrong, and I waited longer than usual for the correction to appear. Not only did they credit my order but I think the person who made the error was in tears. I just love these people, they are so sweet!

Tossed - Massive, delicious salads. Mine was a build-your-own. Probably enough for 2 more meals.
