Okay so my goal here was to grab some sushi on my way home from work, which for me is a drive from Buffalo New York to almost Binghamton New York. I researched a few places that have sushi on my way and this one was my choice. I stopped in the day before I was intending on buying anything so I could see where the place is and talk to the staff because I was going to purchase quite a bit. At least more than an average person would typically grab for lunch. So on my way home today, I called them and basically ordered nine sushi rolls. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they have a lunch special, any three rolls for $13.95. I would have bought them anyways at the regular price but this was kind of a nice bonus. They told me 30 minutes, I got there in 30 minutes, and it wasn't ready yet... Which wasn't really a big deal as they were working on it and I wasn't the only person there. The gentleman rolling the sushi in my humble opinion has some mad skills as he did all nine of my rolls while I sat there and watched and I don't think it took more than about 8 minutes to complete the whole order. I was also pleasantly surprised that they have eel sauce. I'm not sure about other people's experiences however for myself and my wife it's sometimes challenging to find a place that serves sushi and has eel sauce. They packaged it up pretty quick, put a little dab of wasabi on the corner of each little to-go container and I was on my way. I didn't go too far into the place however from what I can see from where I was it seems pretty clean. There's probably about a dozen tables available and a bar area. During both of my visits I had the opportunity to speak with three different employees and all of them were very nice and accommodating. The sushi itself was rather tasty. My wife and I have had sushi from various places and this place is now near the top of our list as far as taste and appearance goes. As I told them when I left earlier with my order, as long as my wife likes it I will most definitely be back, possibly a couple times a month anyways as even though it's 45 minutes from my house, it's on my way home and as far as a quick lunch, it's way better than fast food. read more

This place had amazing Asian food for this area. The fish was fresh and the curry delicious. Prices were reasonable and fairly cheap for lunch. It had a decent portion for the amount you paid. We did take out. The chicken Pad Tai was good but was missing bean sprouts. The egg roll was ok but very greasy and dark. I worked in the food industry and know it is from not changing the frying oil. The big disappointment was the beef pad se ew. It had perfectly done veggies but had no flavor. Average Asian cuisine food. My go-to dish is the kung pao vegetable (normally made with chicken. It's a super generous serving of rice and kung pao that lasts me at least two meals. I have tried the Thai style curries and would not recommend them; they aren't as flavorful or authentic as the offerings at an actual Thai restaurant. The main entrees are very reasonably priced. The sushi here is probably the best of all the restaurants in the area; however, the fish isn't particularly fresh tasting and the price for the sushi is very expensive, but it does the job when I'm craving some sushi. I normally order a side of chili oil, which used to be free but it now extra (still worth it in my opinion). read more

This is the only acceptable place to get sushi in the area! I will have to go back and try it again because I was sick when I was there, but from the little I could taste, it was great sushi. I got the spicy yellowtail with scallions. The rice was perfect, cooked just right, and the ratio of fish to rice was pretty spot on. I also got a the coconut milk based spicy soup which was really good. It definitely helped with my cold. I would have preferred if the veggies were cooked just a tad longer. The pad thai I had specifically asked for spicy, so it didn't taste sweet at all. I wish it was a little sweet and spicy, but I'd prefer this rather than it being too sweet. Overall I was very happy with my meal and service here. They were very accommodating, and it's the best restaurant I've found in the area so far. It's a little expensive for the sushi, but the soup was well priced, and I felt like I really got value for money with the pad thai. I was choosing between the chicken and shrimp, actually, and the waitress told me I could do both if I wanted. This ended up costing an extra $2, which I would've preferred to know ahead of time, but with the amount of shrimp and chicken they put in there, it was totally worth it and I highly recommend it. I was unimpressed with this place. Venue wise it was very easy to find. Service was friendly, not the quickest, but nice. It was very clean, spacious, and plenty of seating for small and large groups. The vibe wasn't as romantic so I wouldn't bring a date here, but I came with a good group of friends. The ratings for this place were decent so we were expecting more than what actually came out. I ordered the calamari, the tom yum soup, and a Boston roll. This allowed me to try different aspects of the menu. The calamari came out hot which was great, the breading was crunchy, and the sauce was good. I enjoyed this, but the pieces could either be cut smaller or in a way more easily edible since most people don't like to shove a whole piece of squid in their mouth. Next I got tried the tom yum which was bland and I took a couple spoonfuls and then passed it on. One of the worst tom yum soups I've tried. It lacked the typical flavors, poorly seasoned, and the chicken was tough. Finally, I got the Boston roll which was rolled nicely. It was tight and all components were fresh. The only thing that could be better is portion size. Usually when I get Boston rolls they have at least 8 pieces, but I won't count that against them since the roll was actually decent. Overall, I enjoyed the company I had and it was quiet because there were only 3 other parties eating on the Monday evening. I however would have liked a more flavorful menu. I will not be back but new comers try other things and let me know, maybe it was just a bad/lazy night for the cook. Happy eating! read more

I will be the first to say that I am a harsh reviewer on Thai food. I've had Thai food from Thailand and, well I'm Thai, so my opinion is much more strict I think then others. That being said, I think this place is decent for the area we are in. It has a great bar area and would be a nice place for a date night for couples. It has the ambiance of date night. Huge bar so I think it could also be a great place for people to go and have happy hour. The menu is a fusion between Thai and Chinese food, I'm never a huge fan of fusion because I like one or the other. I ordered the Pad See Ew (they spell it different) with shrimp. The shrimp was definitely the frozen kind, it wasn't fresh so I was disappointed with that. The flavors weren't bad, generic, nothing authentic but good. I wish there were more options for Thai food. I felt like they had curries but not nearly as many noodle dishes as a normal Thai restaurant. I get it is a fusion place but the name doesn't elude to that. I would come back and try something different but I think if you're looking for more authentic flavors, you would have to drive to Ithaca. read more

My husband had take out from Thai Asian 119 previously and had wonderful experiences both times. Tonight we had a nice dinner in the restaurant. The environment is very inviting and open. The staff we friendly and attentive. We each had an egg roll for an appetizer and it was probably the best I've had. It was freshly cooked and not overly doughy. We did order this mild which might be why it was sweeter than usual. Hunan Chicken: tasted more like General Tso's Chicken. We specified for it to be spicy and that definitely did not happen. Pretty disappointed in this dish. Thai Style Chicken Fried Rice: again, specified for it to be spicy and it was pretty mild. Five stars and two thumbs up! This place is definitely worth the visit. I went with my family over the holidays for a mid week dinner. My mom cannot eat gluten, and the waitress was knowledgable about the gluten free items on the menu. We were told that all the Thai is gluten free, including the spring rolls (which satisfied my mom's years long craving for egg rolls since removing gluten from her diet.) My parents and I all had the pad se ew which was delicious. My sisters had the sweet and sour chicken, which was lightly breaded and crispy, and the chicken lo mein. The lo mein was flavorful, the vegetables were crisp and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and shredded. The service was friendly and fast and the ambience is great. We ended up ordering take out for lunch a few days later when some family was in town. They prepared 11 meals in 30 minutes and everything was exactly as ordered.
