Despite the fact that Cross Creek Park has been growing over the past few years, there is still not…read moremuch going on here. It currently is made up of three baseball fields (which I rarely see being used), a basketball court and a grassy area big enough for a touch football game. The Pride Elementary playground is easily accessible from the park as is a pavilion. Bring water with you, there are no water fountains anywhere to be found. But there is a bathroom. One lonely blue portable pushed up against field one. I can't vouch for the inside of it or the amount of toilet paper that is stocked because I've never used it. On certain mornings (Saturdays?) you can catch hot air balloons taking off from the park. With the sun rising in the background and hot air balloons growing in the foreground, it is quite a serene scene. There are usually cranes walking around the small park so that adds a little natural element. All things being equal, I much prefer Flatwoods or Branchton as there is more to do. Unfortunately those aren't walkable from my apartment.

The only resource for a bathroom is a port-a-potty which has apparently been there over a year, eww. DOWNSIDE: there was trash all over the playground. Likely from the kids at the school, which is right next to the park. I will choose to go back but really wish the city would clean it more often.

The -1 review is that this complex is now charging for parking. Really? My son has officiated games and played games on this campus for 4+ years; now he is refereeing games on county fields and not only was he taken by surprise; but the other refs in his area (all driving teenagers) by a new parking fee. This is ridiculous and a money grab. What county run facility charges for parking? Wesley Chapel District Park? Starkey Ranch? Tampa Bay Tournament Sports Plex? All not!!! Do the right thing and remove this "tax". My son has probably lost money today from his "ticket" and will pay for it with his referee earnings. What a joke. Edit: at the 11 hour and 59 minute mark he was given a code to comp. the parking with the "Honk" app that when all was applied was labeled "invalid". Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Frequently host tournaments as well and they just built a brand new hotel right next door for out of town participants. Absolutely stunning, have to check it out to believe it. Also have a snack bar and an 8 seat bar in the facility.

What…read moreever it is I have been in to the Community Center to talk to some one on four different occasions. With the exception of one, I have been sneered at, looked down on and yelled at by the people in charge. Once when I went to report a broken piece of equipment in the gym, the woman made a comment how I must have broken the thing. Another I went to talk about a Rottweiler that has been very aggressive and broken his chain and nearly killed our dog. The woman just shrugged and told me It wasn't their problem to call someone else. Very snarky. Today I went to ask for permission to put up fliers to sell something in the gym. The man who was there was very gruff and looked down his nose at me. Telling me they probably wouldn't put them up. It isn't what they said it's how they say things. Every time I go in there I feel like they want me to just leave cause I am wasting their time. I went in there once to ask about having my ID renewed, apparently it was just after six and they were going to have a meeting about something. I swear the woman in charge SHRIEKED at me to get out they were closed.
