Both of them showed up (right on time!) and were so friendly and professional. They carried everything to the back yard. The equipement was all in good condition and attractive. They both came back the next day on time (texting me first), picked everything up and away they went. Great experience. What a beautiful and quaint venue with both inside and outside space. Located inside the Rancho San Rafael Park and bordering the Ranch House grounds is the Wilbur D. May Arboretum. There are multiple rooms with a kitchen and bar area. I noticed there was an upstairs available too. I was informed that the venue was inexpensive. If you want to have a sit-down meal the space is limited. The weather was nice which meant a lot of people took advantage and were seated outside in the courtyard. The full house not including the kitchen is $90.00 an hour with a two-hour minimum and a maximum of 150 people along with a $500 cleaning deposit which is refundable. There are multiple rooms inside along with a bar and a kitchen area. They have big refrigerators and a fair amount of space inside the kitchen. The courtyard is shaded and very comfortable, even in the summer. The best part I think is the access to the park. I was up on the railing for the show and I could not hear any vocals from the band. There are wedge monitors directed at the band, but no front fills for the audience. I had a good time, but the audio quaility needs to be improved.

It is currently operated by their son (Gayle's cousin) and daughter-in-law as a venue for outdoor weddings and special events. The Orchard House is where Gayle's brother was married a few years ago, and what a memorable event it was. And with the recent engagement of one of her sons, a wedding at these pretty, spacious and well kept grounds may be in the works. Although Gayle and I will be wed in Napa next May, Genoa and the Orchard House remain near and dear to our home town hearts.

Course has seven of the original front, nine holes and two from the back nine. It is a very hilly course, and the gas golf carts were able to handle the hills quite well. The course was in great shape, and they have concrete cart paths throughout. One of the best things about playing this course is the view you get of the Valley below and all the surrounding mountains. I enjoyed playing the course. It is well laid out and even though there are a lot of houses around the course they never presented any problem. I would like to see more distance markers. None of our GPS devices were able to find the course so we were always wondering how far out we were. There is also a driving range available which has toptracer which allows the player to track distance, height and ball speed.

This was the second place we checked out and I immediately fell in love with this place. We had two other places we were going to tour but ended up cancelling because we just knew the Elm Estate was where we wanted to celebrate our special day! Why? Many reasons but for one - this place has it all! Not to mention the property is just absolutely beautiful! Ceremony, reception, and even lodging onsite- which not only made it convenient but unique too. Secondly what really stood out was - you truly feel the Elm Estate is invested in making your day one to remember! When you book with them, you have 3 detailing meetings, including an opportunity called "mixology" to sit with the bartender and customize your cocktails. We mostly worked with Emma and Shannon and they were very responsive and accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning process! Bridget was our day of onsite coordinator and she too absolutely made our day flow smoothly and beautifully. They add so many special little touches that make your experience feel VIP! If there was one downfall -I would say it was not being able to access the bridal suite (which by the way is stunning and everyone girl's dream aesthetics) until 2pm and having to do makeup and hair offsite instead- it made the logistics a bit challenging, but I guess that's what booking the cottages was for. It also always means a lot to me- when the owner of a business, personally comes and introduces themselves and checks in with you to make sure everything is good! All our guests loved the venue and we know we picked the best one! Elm estate and the staff truly exceeded expectations and helped make our wedding day a perfect one!!
