Went to Tuscana's for the first time for a family dinner to celebrate our Daughter's birthday. We wanted a local place that could accommodate 9, that was a BYOB and the grandkids could feel comfortable. Tuscana's was a great choice. Our waitress was great although I think the size of our party was kind of overwhelming. We ordered some Garlic knots and mozzarella sticks for the table to start. They were very fresh and tasty. There were lots of choices on the menu and a lot of us ordered either a chicken dish or pasta. Salad or soup was included and they came out quickly and were all good. The entrees took awhile but everyone was prepared excellently and tasted great. The portions were very generous and my chicken was tender and delicious. I'd like to go back and try the pizza soon. I ordered a half tray of meatballs for part of my dinner for my company. We picked it up and when I got home and set it out with the rest of my dinner, I noticed when people started taking them that the meatballs were cut in half, they weren't a whole meatball. How do you charge someone almost $60 for a half tray of meatballs cut in half. So in reality I only received 1/4 tray of meatballs. When I called to order them I was never told that they would be half meatballs. I spoke to the owner and told him I ordered from there plenty of times before and always received whole meatballs. Ordered "Frank's Pizza" around 3 PM, POS on a plate. Appeared to be a cold plain pizza they threw stuff on to make "Frank's", then warmed it up for the take-out order. The green pepper pieces were hardly warmed, let alone cooked. Found two 3 inch pieces of link sausage halves when trying to cut into serving size. Upon arriving it was a clean well kept pizzeria/restaurant. The menu was huge with a plethora of choices that looked amazing. We started with garlic knots. Now I have had garlic knots before but these garlic knots were off the chains. So much garlic, fresh moist knots. So much garlic that no vampires will even think of coming around me for weeks. Then we ordered a Sicilian pizza with meataballs. This was the true treasure of the whole night. It came hot and streaming. The cheese was melted and waiting to ooze. The meataballs were large and these balls were good. The crust was cooked perfectly and the sauce was sweet and not acidic. That sauce, oooooh so good. The service was great as well. I highly recommend this establishment. My daughter even said "This is the best pizza I ever had!!!!!!" I personally would put this in the top 5 pizzas I have ever had and I have had many pizzas in my many years on this earth. read more

The pizza is generally ok but nowhere near as good as a decent place in NYC. I like the pan pizza best when they put a lot of cheese on it but they don't always do that so it's inconsistent. I don't recommend their other pies unless you order extra cheese. Additional items are very expensive. They could use a much better cheese like Grande Mozzarella used in better places. I tried their lasagna but the meat in there was so finely ground it was more like a paste which also changed the flavor of the beef. also shy of enough layers. I do not recommend at all. Cons: The only reason I cannot give more stars is because they under-cook the pizza way too often. This place used to be my go-to, until I had to keep putting the pizza back in the oven after I got home and tasted it... only to have a mouthful of practically-raw dough with cheese and sauce.
