The place has a lot of seating, I was served by Ray, and his service was absolutely fantastic, including him coming by to check on me every now and then to make sure everything was OK. It's definitely an acquired taste, which I acquired the very first time I tried it It's actually "pig parts", mixed with oatmeal and formed into a loaf. As Guy Fieri would say, "from the heel, to the squeal." It was created by the Pennsylvania Dutch, as a way to use as much of the pig, as possible. . The same way that many Latin cultures do with a cow. It's a rich complex flavor. By itself, it's a bit strong, so I always put just a little bit of ketchup on mine, and the ketchup adds to, and mellows out the flavor. Some hard-core people actually put grape jelly on theirs. I tried that with a little piece of scrapple one time and no... That's a little too hard-core for me. The eggs were perfectly done, the coffee was great, the toast was a high-quality, rye, and instead of potatoes, I asked for fruit, and got a nice cup of very fresh fruit.
