Tuscany was a pleasant surprise with a nice menu of options and the entrees we ordered were delicious. The entrees were prepared well and served with a nice side salad and a delicious garlic roll. The servings were good size as indicated by the take home boxes we needed that were half full. The restaurant is a large space and we were there at an off time so it was quiet. Not sure how noisy at a more popular hour. Service was excellent. Our server was courteous, pleasant, personable and made some well received recommendations. Overall, I would recommend Tuscany as a solid Italian option in the north side of the Woodlands and Conroe area. read more

The prices are great*! The food, eh, well it left something to be desired. I tried the pasta trio of lasagna, cannelloni, and manicotti. My husband had a pizza. The pizza looked great and he said it was a solid 6.8 (out of 10). My pasta trio unfortunately lacked flavor and it was greasy from the cheese. Took one bite of each and stopped there. Server was extremely nice! Took awhile to get my check, but very friendly. *Except for iced tea, it was $3.59 a glass! read more

First time guest. I dropped in for Friday lunch. Service was great Briana was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Wine list did not have Lambrusco, so I ordered Banfi Chianti great pairing with the $13.99 Lunch special I ordered! Chicken Parmesan included a tasty Caesar Salad. First stop here. Nice decor on Saturday and Thursday there's live tunes. Wife had Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and my pick was the Pasta Trio. First time customer and came in for a reserved birthday party. They had another large party and other occupied tables; and not enough staff to cover any of it. I could spend multiple pages describing the ineptitude of the waitstaff; but I'm sure they tried their best, such as it was. I would blame management for not properly staffing. The food was ok. The red sauce my husband got was a bit sweet for our taste, but that's just our preference. It came out hot and was a more than generous portion. My clams linguine was mediocre. The clams were strong (not bad, just strong) and the whole plate was a bit too heavy & oily. My 2 rating is for the fellowship & celebration, not the restaurant. We probably won't go back. read more

Dinner here was interesting and odd and, in the end, confusing. First, the service is excellent - prompt, knowledgeable, friendly. The food is of mixed quality: the seafood appetizer had a nice vinaigrette and the seafood was delicious but it was served on a bed of actual mirapoix, the basis for much of French cooking that's just carrots, onions, and celery. An odd choice, and not really bad, but just not great. The meatballs were a disappointment - decent red sauce but the meat was dry and tasteless once you got past the sauce. More successful were the entrees, my spaghetti carbonara and her manicotti. Both were quite good and worth coming back for. And we probably would, except the dining room is completely lacking in ambiance or charm. First, it's too big by half, almost like a ballroom, and with minimal decor except an odd guitar/clock on one wall. Then the lights are too bright by, again, half - more like a barbecue joint, or a cafeteria. And we might have let all that slide, except for the music and sound system. Perhaps the worst of both that I've ever heard in a restaurant, the selections seemed to be focused on Italian pre-match chants, or maybe what union organizers would play before a speech....it's hard to describe. And then the sound system - small cheap speakers only along the bar, blasting there but sounding like the construction crew next door was playing a crappy boom box too loud. Yes I'm spending a lot of time writing about this but I've just never heard anything like it, certainly not in a restaurant service traditional Italian fare. First let me say that I must eat gluten free, so finding an Italian restaurant that can accommodate me is difficult. But Tuscany had more choices than just the same old salad without croutons. The service was great and the food was delicious! The only negative I have is the space they are in is very large and the high ceilings will contribute to the noise level being high when they are full. The prices are good and the serving sizes are reasonable. We will definitely return to try it for dinner. read more

Casual atmosphere dining experience with above average food & service = my favorite kind of fine dining atm. Non-pretentious, professional servers and fresh food set this one apart from other local Italian spots. I look forward to returning to the Tuscany Italian Grill in Conroe, Texas and trying the greater part of their menu. I personally enjoyed everything I ordered, but would only re-order the tiramisu out of everything I tried today. The Seafood Salad was wholesome and the Fettuccini Alfredo on the Combination Dish was excellent. Tried this place tonight for the first time. I wasn't impressed at all. The fried calamari was good. The food itself left a lot to be desired. The spaghetti and meat sauce had no taste to it. The three-meat combo plate was not good either. The water noticed that I had not touched my food. We did not ask for a refund even though he asked the manager if he could discount. She said no. We left $50 dollars worth of food on the table. She did not even come and ask us why we didn't like it. We won't go back. If I could rate it a 0 I would but I gave it a 1 for the calamari. read more

My hun and I came here a few nights ago to have dinner for the first time here. The bread they serve first is soft, light, and goes excellent with the oil dipping they serve with it. Arta was our waitress and was very kind and personable. We really enjoyed her company. As for my dinner, I ordered the minestrone soup and the salmon piccata. Both were amazing! The soup tasted like mom's good cooking when you are under weather and the salmon piccata tasted like you were at a 5 star restaurant. We decided to stay for one more drink and moved to the bar. That's where we met Zina. She was also very personable, which is what we look for in a restaurant. They are all from Albania, which was super cool listening to some of their stories (not to mention their accents are gorgeous). Overall, great place to have lunch and dinner. We had a bit of everything. Pasta Trio, Bruschetta, Calamari, Lobster Ravioli, Shrimp Fettuccini, tortellini, tiramisu and cheesecake. We loved it all! So fresh and the portions were huge! The prices are fair and the service was great. Had a couple of cocktails and they were very good as well. It's true the ambiance is pretty simple and basic but we're not there for the decor. So I haven't written reviews in a while and typically do it on Tripadvisor, but I can't even locate this restaurant on there. I took my wife here for her birthday because she had mentioned it a few times based on all of the good reviews. The restaurant is new, so of course it is clean and welcoming, my wife got an Italian margarita and I got an old-fashioned, both of which were nothing special. The bread, however, with the dipping oil is quite good. My only complaint about the bread is that when I asked for more it was not brought out with more Oil and herbs. The appetizers were mediocre, the Arancini didn't really have much flavor to it at all and neither did the calamari. The calamari was tender, so that is a plus. I prefer calamari that comes out with the tentacles, this was only the rings. We ordered the spaghetti with plain red sauce for my daughter, it came out with chopped basil or parsley on top of it, I did not taste to see which one it was. My daughter can be picky with some things which is why we said, plain red sauce, She did not want to eat it at all when she saw the green on top of it. She did, however actually try it. After a couple bites and she got some of the parsley stuck in her teeth she no longer ate any of her food. The Italian sausage in the spaghetti had good flavor, the meatballs were dry and did not have much flavor, and the pasta was overcooked. The lasagna in the combination dish was quite good and I would like to have it again. The fettuccine Alfredo was over sauced, the pasta was overcooked, and it didn't really have much flavor. The chicken Parm was overcooked as well. The pace of our meal was quite slow, considering that the restaurant was not that busy. It took quite a while to be checked on, we needed bread for a while, waited for a check for a while, etc. There were a few other things on the menu that looked interesting and I never write a restaurant off based on one visit. I will try it again sometime in the future. For those looking for good spaghetti, fettuccine, or meatballs, I would highly recommend going to Vero, Italian Kittchen in Conroe. read more

Dinner on Friday night, and very happy to have this dining establishment near us. Portions were really large and could be easily shared. At our table, we had the carbonara, eggplant Florentine & linguine in clam sauce. We brought half home for another meal. Tiramisu was delicious, and one of the best I've ever had. While the cheesecake was pretty, it was served frozen; took it home to be eaten later. Lots of customers picking up pizza. I think we will try that next. read more

We have been to Tuscany a few times. Went for pizza last night. I finally was able to get pizza just the way I like it. I like lots of extra cheese on my pizza, Tuscany is the only one that listened to my request. Good food, great service, fabulous drinks. I generally don't leave reviews but I have to warn others I went to eat there for the first time around lunch time with a friend and ordered the truffle fettuccine and drank water to try and cut back on the grease. food was ok but a bit greasy unfortunately the following day I had food poisoning. I was sick for two days and had damage from the stomach acid to my esophagus according to my physician i threw up so much the stomach acid burned my esophagus. I have gone back over my diet of what I ate to try and rule out what made me sick but the food from Tuscany Italian grill is what stands out. please eat with caution or avoid all together. read more

Beautiful restaurant. A lot of variety on the menu. We were a large party and they were very accommodating. Most of our food was delicious. Our only complaint was the grilled chicken that came on the chicken Alfredos and the grilled chicken on the dish with the vodka sauce. The chicken was super bland. We did let the waitress know. My elderly mother had to wait for her order an additional 5-6 minutes for her food after everyone else had been served. That was a bit annoying and the manager didn't even come by afterwards to say anything. Looks like it could be a really good place, just have some kinks to work out. read more

My friend and I came here for lunch today and I enjoyed the food immensely. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and my friend ordered the Truffle Pasta with a side of chicken. Fresh bread with olive oil mixed with garlic and spices was brought out and we also ordered a large Pellegrino, which was the perfect drink complement to the food. I love a good bolognese and it is hard to find - so I was thoroughly impressed with my order. I wanted to finish it all, but it was enough food that I saved a little to take home - it's a nice change from my usual food routine. My friend raved about her food as well and took the rest home for lunch at work the next day. I don't have the budget to come here often, but I will definitely be back. First time at this establishment. Service was attentive and great. The mussels where great and tasty. The lobster bisque was too soupy but Ok. I had the chicken parmigiana with ziti. I asked for the pasta to be al dente and it was. The chicken was very good and the sauce was fine although with a touch of sweetness to it, not my preference but it was fine. My husband and I have been to Tuscany several times since their opening. We live in the neighborhood and enjoy the close drive. The food is authentic Italian food and it's absolutely delicious. We haven't had a dish yet that wasn't good. The service is always great and the servers pleasant. The atmosphere is that of a nice restaurant but not pretentious. Service was amazing and the choices are like a solid Italian eatery. Ambiance is clean and casual. Food is good, solid. We've had the veal, chicken, pizza. Don't get the fried cheese sticks. They are just frozen mozzarella sticks and not great. The vodka sauce is a true vodka sauce but could use a little more flavor as it left me wanting just a touch more. The veal and chicken parm were both solid but a little too much marinara sauce in the pasta almost swimming in it.
