Took my son for the first time to daycare. They ignored his cries and shrugged him off and let him cry for hours with no comfort considering it's something new for him. They took his food when he wasn't done eating, they took his sippy cup from him even when he fought for it and didn't want to let it go, the day and a half that I took him, he came back to me as if he was starving. I had my 11 mo son in this location for 2 weeks. I'll start from the top. We stopped by the Friday before my son was going to start, just so HE could warm up to the place. There was no warm welcome, the people at the front were more confused as to why we would drop by ahead of time. No one regarded my son to say hi or anything. I brushed that off. First day, they weren't logging his meals in the app like they were supposed to, so I was worried that he wasn't drinking anything? Turns out it was just a technical glitch. I brushed it off. Every day at drop off and pickup my son was panic crying. I wasn't sure if it was just his separation anxiety or what but it was SO unlike him. It was a new type of cry that he hadn't done before. My son was in a daycare prior to this; so this wasn't our first rodeo. My mom senses were telling me I should start looking into other places. Every day they were sending me photos of him just sitting on the play mat, alone, looking around. The next day, they called him by the wrong name when I dropped him off. I knew I wanted to pull him then. They also would answer "yes" or "no" when I would message a question - I know you're busy, but you're taking care of my child, would it hurt to put a little personality behind your interactions? Including at dropoff and pickup? Fake a smile? I wanted to wait to write this review - my son has been in the new daycare for a couple of weeks so I have a better idea as to what happened. During the interview for the new daycare, my son got a BIG welcome, where all staff was smiling and playing with him. Something I didn't have in two weeks with Tutor Time. He hasn't cried for drop-off and pickup for the last 2 weeks he's been at his new location. I get smiling photos every day. I truly think it's because he is getting more 1:1 interaction, more hands-on. Tutor time did a great job keeping my son alive, but I want him surrounded by those who would raise him like their own. Do I think this place works for some? Of course. Would I recommend it to anyone who has kids who can't speak yet? No. I'm just not confident in the level of care being given. I would only feel confident if my child told me himself that he liked it there. Just want to add, I tried to pull him sooner but they said they couldn't allow him to be there one day only, it would have to be a full week. So I kept him there. (but on the flipside, thankful that they allowed me to pull him without more of a headsup) Also, after looking through the notes, I realised after the fact that they gave him breakfast for the first week and not at all for the second week. I should have caught that sooner, but I just thought it was odd. They wouldn't give him breakfast that first week unless I specified. I would think after 5 days of specifying I wouldn't need to remind them again. I hope I'm not coming across any which way. I try to be analytical with my assessments and just state facts. Also sorry this is so long! I just wanted to make sure to get every little detail in. I do believe this was happening during a change in Directors; but that shouldn't make or break anything. Just to clarify, we originally visited Tutor Time, paid the tuition fee, and were placed on the waitlist at the beginning of February for enrollment at the end of March so it was not a matter of not being able to enroll my child right away. It looks like I will have to call customer service as we STILL have not received our refund. I have now emailed with Erin for weeks and also contacted District Manager Greg who has yet to acknowledge my inquiry. The poor service continues. read more

I've been lucky enough that my older kids never had to go to daycare, however when I had a child 11 years later and ran into an unfortunate and desperate situation, I was so fortunate to find this location had availability. With support from every teacher, to amazing hours that fit perfect with work, it provides me stability and flexibility for my child. She has grown leaps and bounds in 8 months and learned so much and now has stability and a set schedule which is vital to child development. Look at first i was ready to give a one star review. There were things i was very unhappy about but they did the best to correct the issue and overall make it better from there and out. My kids will tell me if something is wrong. They feel comfortable with the teachers and kids. A huge shout out to miss shawna and miss bailey. They love them! read more

Let's of changes here over the past few years. Mostly good. Prices are.... Okay. Surely not the worst, surely not the best. More working is being done to follow the educational model set forth by Tutor time corporate and to support the school age kids getting their homework done right away, which is very appreciated. Big change, I wish the old directors would come back. Seems like one of them does not feel adequate and therefore takes the stance of being rude right of the bat in the way she speaks. She obviously does not know anyone there and was just thrown in to her position. Maybe it is a defense mechanism. Doesn't make us want to keep going there. The staff, other than that one director is excellent! Very friendly and love the kids. I just know that the director can make anything happen. Sure the morale has tanked. Sorry staff. read more

I wish I could give zero star. I had a very bad experience here at Tutor time at bell and 40th st. The staff is very bad as well as the director. I sent my 15 month old daughter for the half day. On very first day itself, the teachers were not looking at her and not talking to her. My daughter was continuously crying, and nobody offered her toys or even water and nobody came to sooth her. On first day crying or upsetting is very normal and usual behavior but what efforts the teachers put makes a difference. I feel babies need little pamper in initial days so that they feel secure. I saw they did not put any efforts, they behaved like she does not exist in the classroom. I feel that very first day the babies need an environment where they feel secure. And when I complained nobody listened or even care. read more

My kids have been enrolled since they were infants and they still continue to go for After School I only had good experiences he Management Team are very friendly and always makes me feel safe, teachers help them with homework and they always have something fun for the kids on fridays. I love this tutor time! My 2 kids have been going for a few years now! The staff is very friendly! We get welcomed when we come in and even walking down the hallway and another teacher or whoever is walking past us always says hello to me and my kids by name! The teachers are fabulous they are always smiling and very happy! And when having a conversation with them you can tell they actually care about my childre even though sometimes my kids can be difficult they still care!! My kids love going to tutor time and they feel comfortable there! The director suzzette is also amazing and very caring! This is the second and last day care my kiddos will go to! read more

Had an appointment to tour this facility. Upon arrival there was a man holding the front door open letting people in. I was shocked that this was happening as you are suppose to use a security keypad to get in. I watched these parents walk back to classrooms to gather their children. I waited over 10 minutes at the front desk and NEVER saw an employer. I walked all over that building! When I finally say an employee she was rude. Said she didn't work the front desk. Didn't know where everyone was. Then said just go ahead and "get your kid". I immediately asked for the director. She was just as rude. Said "I can't be everywhere" we're short staffed and we can't always have someone at the front desk. She was not alarmed that a parent was letting people in. I could hear screaming from the nursery. This place was filthy. Had a horrible odor . Clearly not safe/secure. Should be shut down ! I left letting the director I would be posting my complaint on yelp and she said "do what you gotta do " and walked away. Seriously ! I wouldn't take my dog here ! read more
