Our son went here for 9 months to get him started in a school type setting. We're sad he's leaving but he's onto kinder. The teachers are awesome. They communicate with you daily. I booked a tour for my 10 month old daughter. When I showed up, the door was unlocked, they said it was because of a delivery, but I was a "random" person walking in and it took five minute for anyone to notice me. After that, the person I talked with was not sure why I was there and none of the papers were prepped and they did not have any information that I had filled out on their website. Once the tour started, the individual giving the tour didn't even take out her Apple earbud which I found extremely rude. I am not sure if she didn't realize that I saw, as she had her hair down. However, I am a middle school teacher and can spot those things from the other side of the room. She knew that their Quality First scholarships had been given out, but was not confident on whether or not there was a waitlist for the scholarships. I was really excited to tour here and was hopeful that my daughter may be able to attend here if they had a scholarship available, since the cost is very high and we cannot afford it without a scholarship. Definitely too high for what I saw. However, I was extremely disappointed in almost every aspect of the tour. They were within the state numbers for ratio, so that is why I gave them a two instead of a one. read more

I just wanted to leave a message reflecting on how great this childcare center was to my son and our family. My son was a late walker and they were so supportive of us, making sure he had everything he needed to meet that milestone, and so many others. I began taking my son here after a friend recommended it. I can not describe the love and attention our toddler has in his class. He runs to his teacher and doesn't even hug me goodbye anymore! Lol. He is so happy every time we pull into the driveway I can hardly keep him in his seat. They allow daily drop off and pick up anytime you want. They also give you a handout of all the crafts and details of the day. My son comes home and now knows the entire alphabet , months of the year, manners, potty trained, sharing, counting to 20 and much much more. The teachers even went above and beyond by helping him with his tongue exercises after his tongue tie surgery. Daycares are hard. You're always going to have crazy first time mothers and fathers who are complaining. I'll admit that I am one of them-A LOT. It is your child and you are never going to find someone who cares for them like you do. There will always be complaints. With that being said, we have had a great experience at this daycare. My nieces and nephew have gone to the school for 6 years, so they have been consistentlyover the years. The teachers in the infant room are amazing. My daughter is going through a weird attachment phase, and she smiles ear to ear when we drop her off with the girls in that room. They have had zero turnover with that staff since we started 6 months ago. I trust all of those girls and my daughter loves them. I am fully convinced that they helped her roll over, sit up and crawl quicker than if I had her at home. They also do great crafts with the kids and holiday professional photos. As your kid gets older, they include homemade meals. You will not find a more affordable daycare-especially one that offers part time tuition. I know because we searched everywhere. If you're interested, make sure you get on the waitlist. We were on it before our baby was born. read more

I hate being that parent or that person but I feel as if this needs to be stated so other parents can be warned as well. We took our son here for the first time after being at home with me for 10 months while I worked at home. I had to go back in the office so we needed a daycare facility to watch him during these hours. We were already skeptic about daycares and having strangers watch our son, but we needed it and decided to go here. Well every worry we had about a daycare was met. He has separation anxiety so he already wasn't happy when we dropped him off. His cries could be heard in the parking lot, but when dad called to check on him the morning teacher said he calmed down after about 5 minutes and was eating and playing just fine. I attempted to call twice but the teacher never answered. I left a voicemail but never was called back. It came time to pick him up and I heard his cries from the lot again but didn't think anything of it as he could just be fussy. I was checking him out and finishing up enrollment and other admin stuff before grabbing him from the room. When I went to open the door to his class, the staff stated that he had just started crying and didn't know why. When my son saw me he didn't stop crying but he did crawl over to me in a hurry which concerned me. Normally when he's crying like that he calms down a little when he sees me and then comes over to me. So that was already a red flag. Then when I wipe his tears and nose I noticed that there are marks under his nose and above his upper lip. I questioned the staff, they stated that he was like that when they got him back to their room. When I questioned the staff that brought him into that room, she stated that he was like that when she started her shift but the previous teacher had told her that he was rubbing his nose all day due to a runny nose. When I dropped off my son, his nose wasn't runny and he never bothers his nose even when there's boogers coming out from crying. He hates his nose bing touched so he lets them dry there. His skin was also ice cold and they stated that since heat rises the floors are cold.. like duh!! But my house is always cold and his skin is NEVER ice cold, he also rarely wears clothes at home since he's a hard baby to dress, so that was another concern. I get home and let the area calm a bit. Later notice that the nostril looks bruised on the outside and there's a red mark on the bridge of his nose. He doesn't wince or cry when I try to touch it, so that's a good sign. But it doesn't look like he was rubbing his nose all day either. Luckily my son didn't act like he's in pain, but we've been monitoring the nose and unless our son is super strong and hurt his nose while rubbing it then I don't know how else could explain his face. I sent an email to the admin at night and have not heard anything back. When dad went to go pick up the extra clothes we brought there as requested, they never addressed anything either. I am so upset we ever brought our child here. I should have trusted my gut and found a babysitter. I felt as if my concerns as a first time mom were not addressed or cared for. I felt as if I was being dismissed as a crazy mom, which was really disheartening. read more

My family started using Busy Bees (valley child care) in the summer of 2020. After touring multiple daycare centers in the valley we chose this daycare. We chose it because from the moment we walked in everything looked very clean, bright and positive energy. The staff helped us feel at ease leaving our 2 year old in daycare for the very first time. And we have been with them ever since. They have helped us over the years during all the early childhood years and are an extension of my family. It made it that much easier when I got pregnant with our youngest and had him start daycare after the first few months. They have kept up with the cleanliness, positive energy and effective communication over the last 4+ years. The teachers and directors work endlessly at making their curriculum fun, creative, and innovative. I always tell people to do their research when picking daycare for their loved ones. But this one should be on the top of their list! read more

Disclaimers and qualifiers first. Every child is different and every family is different in their educational needs and priorities and every child learns differently. One school may be the perfect place for one child and not ideal for another. So our experience has been pretty widespread. Lets start with safety. You can always find state inspections on the state website for licensed child-care facilities. These inspections will tell you a lot of useless things but will also provide light on some useful things such as if there is a valid fire safety plan and are all of the teacher background checked and fingerprinted. Keep in mind that every facility will have a few citations. This is how the state makes money. The other safety feature I liked about this school is that there is only one entrance/exit door and that is through the front. So the likelihood of a run-away child is nearly impossible. read more

I would just like to update my review and say after 5 months we are still at Valley. My children love this center and have made great friends, and even more importantly they are LEARNING and coming home with new skills everyday. I love the ease of checking in and out and auto pay takes the hassle out of having to stop and pay and do this or that when you are in a hurry. I will say the fence out back still makes me uneasy, I really wish there was something higher and more secure... but I of course trust the staff. It would also be great if we could log in online to be able to see into the class room, or if the cameras were actually recorded for security purposes. read more

If it could be a negative million it would be. I posted a review while my child was still going to this place because when I did it, I thought I could get him in elsewhere fast. Not realizing every place had a wait list. I posted my negative review because he was sent home twice in a soiled diaper. And once with mulch on his feet , covered, then his shoes put on. So he was walking around in shoes with mulch on for who knows how long. Never complained about that. I complained that one of the "teachers" sent him home in a dirty diaper, and I witnessed her on servers occasions when my son was the only one left in the class around 5:45-5:50 waiting outside of the classroom all the way down the hallway to watch to see when I was coming. So? My son is the only one left. You're not engaging with him, you're not playing with him, you're literally waiting for me so you can leave. Also, this woman was so upset one day I asked her what was wrong. She said that my 20 month old wouldn't pick up the toys. Ma'am. Isn't that your job? He doesn't know to pick up toys yet he doesn't grasp the concept. So what were you doing to him? Neglecting him? Because that seems to be the theme of this place: The last straw is so upsetting that my son is different and I am so angry and upset that I wish I could turn back time and change what happened. I am a single mom. My mom picks my child if he's sick so I can work and make money for us to live. Three weeks ago, I send my son with his favorite puppy everyday. Because he sleeps with him, he is comforted by him and he loves him. My son doesn't have a pacifiers nothing. Just his damn puppy. I had tried with this place. Everytime we pulled into the parking lot he was crying and screaming. I knew he hated it but there was nowhere for him to go and I have to work. He's upset. I hand him over. He's hysterical. I say goodbye to miss shani. I walk down the hall to write in the book when I drop him off and I hear my son scream "NOOOOOOOO PUPPPY." see miss shani open the door walk down two rooms and take away the only thing that made him feel better. I was so upset. Called my mom she said go in and talk to her. I did. I said I don't understand why you took his puppy away. My son mine you is the only child on the floor crying. And these two grown ass women have their backs to him. Not even trying to console him, help him with his transition nothing. Callous. Disgusting. She tells me no he was throwing it. I'm thinking in my head I walked thirty steps and he threw it that much you took it away? And while he's still crying? I said it makes him feel better can he not have it until he calms down. No. We're going outside soon. I said but look at him he's still crying can he not have it? She said no, he will take it outside and throw it on the ground and then I have to clean it. Well ma'am. You did not clean his damn feet I didn't ask you to clean the damn dog. Horrible. Then when I left. I made my mom go so I wouldn't be late for work pick him up ASAP. They call me and say he's having a great day. Hmmm really? Because even now three weeks later if he doesn't see his puppy he asks for it. Because they've been ripping it from his arms. They even mentioned to my mom the post I put on here and they don't know how to make me happy. Umm. You shouldn't be in this field if you don't like kids one. You should want to console a child if they're upset. You should want to interact with the kids while they're there. None of that happened. And were you taking it out on my child because I wrote a negative Yelp review that I took down after a week? I think you were. If you weren't then you're even more sick. You people should be ashamed of yourself. And I stand by what I said in the first post which you never mentioned to me, never ever tried to make it right. You are horrible, lazy, neglectful people. And I wish you the worst because you hurt my child. Thankfully his old daycare, Scottsdale child and learning care took him back immediately because they loved him so much. And guess what. He doesn't cry when I drop him off and he gets his puppy. So big f u to this place. Don't even try it. And "miss shani" I keep replaying you not giving my child his puppy and not looking at him, no emotion. I guarantee if you were a good person you would have given him his puppy. You didn't. And for the rest of my life I'll regret not doing what I should have. But I hope you can live with the fact that you're a horrible human. read more

My 17 month old son attended valley as his very first daycare for 4 days. Day 1: There was a scrape on his knee. He clearly fell. No big deal. Children fall, but address it upon pick up. Day 2: I addressed the scrape to his teacher, she apologized and said she would let me know next time He fell on the same knee. Very little blood had dried, but regardless should have been attended too, and addresses upon pick up. My husband picked him up and said he was starving. I send my son with lunch everyday, because this is all new to him, and he's picky sometimes. The lunch I made him wasn't touched. Day 3: I, again, addressed the scrape and lunches, upon drop off. They said they will make sure he eats. I mentioned he now had green sticky boogies like the rest of the children. Many had the booger's crusted to their nose. I picked him up this day, and Upon arrival they were outside. my son was flush and really warm. None of the children had sippy cups and was surprised my child's nose was clean. Once I got home I started taking his clothes off to cool him down, I noticed this mark on his ear. Photos attached. Day 4: Upon drop off, i asked his teachers if they knew what happened to his ear. Neither of them knew, right away, but she mentioned shortly after, he fell out of his chair sideways on the ground and hit his ear. which means he hit his head? Neither teacher thought it would be appropriate to let his mother know he hit his head? I froze. I had no idea what to say. I went to a separate room (his room, room 4)to collect myself/understand/make a decision. So I began cleaning a toy my son was playing with to find it was absolutely filthy. I did not have a choice, I had to leave my son there. I had to work. I waited and watched the camera for 15 min, and was very late. I left a Note with the clerk up front, to speak with the director. Nicole called me later today, where I covered 4 different topics/concerns with her. 1. I requested the camera footage for the day he fell out of his chair. I addressed the lack of communication and expressed I shouldn't have to examine my child's body everyday after I pick him up. She agreed, apologized and said she would discuss with the teachers. 2. Lunch. I informed her my son came home starving on Wednesday(day 2) and the lunch I packed wasn't touched. She said they don't allow parents to bring packed lunches because the children need to adjust to the food they provide. Understandable. But his very 2nd day? That's unrealistic to expect such a drastic change from a 1 year old, in my option. She assured me his teacher was really good about sitting down at lunch with them, and interacting. Shouldn't this be done anyways? 3. I asked how often they receive water, and she said they should have access to water all day. But 4 days in a row, he did not have anything to my knowledge upon all 4 pick ups. Lastly, 4. I asked How often do the toys get cleaned. She responded, during nap time they are cleaned with bleach. When I told her the pampers wipe I used to clean one toy was disgusting, she didn't have much to say. When I asked my husband the 2 times he picked our son up during nap time, he said toys were defiantly not getting cleaned. Im a young first time mom, who has stayed home with him since birth. Day Care is new and scary for us. It has been very hard on us.. and the inability to trust the care he's receiving? Daycare is his second home....unenrolled. read more

I don't have the necessary writing skills to express how much I love this daycare but if I did this would be a four-page review. ALL THE TEACHERS & STAFF go above and beyond to make sure you and your child feel apart of a family. You don't get the baby farm feeling here, folks! I can't wait till my kid gets to be a bit older so he can participate in all the fun activities they offer (ceramic painting, anyone). I drop my kid off, and it feels like I am leaving him with family and I have zero anxiety because they do that GREAT of a job. Another plus is the diversity of children. My kid is mixed race and I purposely looked for a center that had a wide range of ethnicities and boy does this place deliver. I LOVE that my kid gets to play, share and communicate with children from different nationalities/ethnicities. BTW Ms. Vickey and the other woman that runs room two are PERFECT. They took care of my baby like it was there own and spoiled him : ) with love when I couldn't be there. I am so grateful to these women. We love this school for our 4 year old son. He has been going there for about a year and has loved both of the teachers he has had in his 2 different classrooms. He has a peanut allergy so I love the fact that they are peanut free. I don't have to worry when he is there. The office staff is very nice and the teachers as well. Ms. Lindsey is very good with her students and there are lots of crafts and neat thing involved in their learning. They also get outside time which is important to us. I have been in early education field for over 15 years and Valley is by far the best company I have worked for! They give you so many opportunities to grow and are completely supportive of you through that process. Each educator has a true love and passion for children that is absolutely infectious. Walking into our building you know that the children are loved, cared for and are truly having fun. My son has attended VCCLC on and off (due to my job changes) since he was born. They have been with our family as we have grown over the last 3 years. I am now onto my second child and she will be attending starting the end of this month. As this is a girl I am EXTREMELY over protective of her and rarely have anyone watch her while I am on leave. The point is I have 100% confidence that she will be well cared for, protected, loved, and taught all the little things she needs to grow while at VCCLC. My 3 year old son, also needs extra attention as he is developing and growing and they are amazing at working with him and his needs. I honestly have only ever felt comfortable leaving him at a daycare when it has been VCCLC, it truly is a great place for both my kids to grow and develop and he is always excited to go. Even when we past it on weekends or times that they are closed he wants me to stop so he can go to school. I hope this helps other mamas and dads with their decision as I know how hard it is to truly find a daycare for your children that you trust and will help you as your family grows. read more

I should have listened to my gut when thinking "What's the catch?" on why it is so cheap to send your child here. Now I know why. My 1 year old daughter went there three times and each time she got sick, thus I got sick. I know kids get sick at daycare, but that seemed kind of weird. She looked miserable every time we came to pick her up, always crying (and she is normally a very happy, easy going child, never scared of babysitters etc). At the final drop off, she was screaming once we handed her over. At the final pick up, she was just being totally ignored while crying as we walked in. Worst part of all, she was 12months old and still took two naps, like most kids her age, and they would NOT allow her to take two naps in the 1 year old room. Talk about sleep deprivation making a child crabby! I know for a fact they break the law and go WAY over ratio. It was a zoo in there every time we came. AZ laws in general are bad enough with it being a 1:6 teacher/child ratio, where as most other states are 1:4 ratio. The way this company bills is horrible as well. I used my "free" coupon one day and they never took the money off and still charged me. I also dropped her off one day and unexpectedly was able to have her home that day, thus she was only at daycare one hour. They said they would just charge me the hourly rate of $10. NOPE, still charged me the entire day. I have been asking for my money back on THREE different occasions and still have not received it in THREE months, hence what prompted me to write this review. They also sneak in a "music" fee if you child just so happens to come on a Monday, you get charged the whole month for it even if not there. Also, when picking up her belongings, they failed to give me back all of her correct wipes/powder etc even though they had her name on them, but I just wanted to get the heck out---which is super easy because they do NOT lock their doors! I have come in plenty of times to see that no one is strictly watching that door. EVERY single daycare I have ever toured or been too, (even worked at one), has a access code entrance. Finally, sorry to say but the assistant director Erika needs an attitude adjustment. It was not necessary to be rude to a new mom learning their sign in process for the first time. Their sign in process is quite extensive. I have had my child at one other daycare in WI using the same computer sign in which was easy, This daycare made you sign in the computer 2 ways then sign the book. A little confusing is you ask me. Overall, DO NOT GO HERE! This is the first negative review I have ever written for anything. That's how disappointed I am. read more

My wife and I didn't feel welcome at all. The director, and assistant director were not professional. I asked the director to hire another teacher for the 1 year old since there are a high demand for the class and a lot of parents are in the waiting list, the director told me, I will not hire a teacher just for your child, i told the director, it's not just for me, it will benefit all of us, school and parents, I didn't get a good vibe from the director. My wife and I were picking up my 2 year old child in the classroom, my wife remove our child's blanket and noticed our child were soak and wet, my wife ask the teachers in the classroom why were our child sleeping soak and wet, 1 of the teacher told us, he spilled water on his shirt while he were drinking and then he went to sleep afterward, then we went to inform the assistant director and told her what happened. She didn't seem to show caring and warm for our child, she told us she can only talk to them and this is all she can do. To us, we expected an apology from the teacher to our child for letting our child sleeping soak and wet, we will not recommend this Child Care to anyone. We have told the assistant director and director were standing there, we will not bring our child to this child care anymore, and the assistant director says ok and this is all from her and not a word from the director while she were standing there. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. The 2 year old room is basically a free for all and they failed to notify me about my son being bit or him pulling out another girl's hair out until I started asking questions. After questioning them they basically told me that I cannot correct my son's behavior and these are just the kind of things that toddlers do. Not to mention my son was getting sick all the time. Now that I have moved him to a new place his behavior is no longer violent, he's no longer sick, and he's actually learning new things. read more

I am so frustrated after this point in time! I have had a scholarship for 6 months that was very Much needed. I am now a regular paying customer and get the most unprofessional treatment by Ms. Erica especially! She is completely unprofessional and I keep expecting her too up her game & be professional & not roll her eyes at things I say or comment on. I will agree with the lady that said Mrs Lindsey is great but believe me you got lucky! It's a shame this place keeps getting away with fooling the parents into believing they actually care about the kids! I can not tell you how many times they are out of ratio which may not seem like a big deal but it is! When out of ratio it becomes dangerous for the child and it's not fair to the kids or the teacher! The teacher cannot pay attention to each child when their are 13 One year Old to one teacher . If a teacher lets the front know they are over the teacher is told I don't know what to tell ya. They do not turn anyone away cause the only thing that matters there is the money. I agree there are a Handful of good teachers a HANDFUL other than that the rest should be drug tested including the director and asst director .
