BEWARE Parents If you're looking for a warm, loving, and professional childcare environment--this is not the place. My daughter attended this daycare, and the experience was deeply disappointing and concerning. The staff is not only unprofessional but also lacks the basic warmth and compassion that every child deserves. Ms. Sonya, the assistant director, is especially rude, mean-spirited, and disrespectful to both children and parents. I once overheard her speaking to a crying infant at the end of the day saying, "I don't care if you're crying, ya mama is late, so I don't know what to tell ya." No attempt to comfort the baby--just coldness. That level of indifference toward a child is unacceptable. Ms. Lisa, the director, is no better. She is rarely around and completely disengaged from the day-to-day. When she is present, her professionalism is seriously lacking. There is no leadership, no accountability, and no positive tone set for the staff. Many of the caregivers appear lazy and inattentive, clearly counting on the fact that most parents aren't actively watching the cameras. It's telling that so many children walk in crying--and continue to cry even after weeks or months of attendance. This is not a safe or nurturing place for any child. Please do your research and read all reviews carefully before enrolling your child. I truly regret trusting them with mine. Courtney the owner of this business is a fraud and does not care about families and children well being! It's just a money maker for them! This facility condone child abuse by not taking reports of abuse seriously and urgently. Specifically, Ms Harriet, the director of the Steele Creek location. She told me that the daycare should be named after Ms. Linda after we reported witnessing child abuse to multiple children via live feed. She told me that she backed the teacher up BEFORE attempting to investigate the allegations. Ms. Linda was still allowed to care for the 3yr old class. This was appalling and we had to escalate higher than the director since her primary concern was to protect the staff over the babies. Needless to say, we pulled our children out of this facility on that day. Who is going to protect the children if the director they hired for that location refuse to??...well, until she was forced to care. What is equally sad is that another teacher was in the room and didn't blink or act on behalf of the children. As long as Ms Harriet is there or at any of the locations, I strongly suggest you search for the viral video about this location before making a big decision of handing over your little one to her trust. Do your due diligence vs my personal review. My grandson made allegations of being mistreated and I am heartbroken that I trusted the staff and did not act earlier. Highly recommend looking into a facility that actually cares about your kids over their staff. Had an incident where my child stated one of the teachers smacked her face and asked to see the video from that day. First thing they stated was how long the teacher has worked there and they have never had an incident before. Not sure how that's relevant as people make mistakes and things do happen. They backed their staff before even considering to view the video from that day. I had to call and follow up multiples times before they called and told me that the part of the video from that day was viewed and they didn't see the teacher do that. I still haven't seen the video myself. This is something my child still talks about and I am forced to believe it's true & I guess since pulled my child from this facility that they think this something they can push under the rug. I witnessed via live streaming a worker handling the children in my daughters 3s class extremely aggressively including hitting them with a ruler, picking children up in the air by one arm and putting them on the ground aggressively, and yanking children so hard their head snapped back. I called the daycare immediately and reported what I saw. The director called me back and basically accused me of fabricating the events saying that "Mrs Linda has been here for 25 years and would never do that". Well there is video evidence that Mrs Linda did in fact do EXACTLY what I said she did. They just started live streaming services two month ago. I hope DHHS, who I reported the incident to, can look through camera footage from before then because I can't imagine what these workers did off camera!! read more

I had my daughter there, who is such a kind soul.. for only a week and she was traumatized. I witnessed on the SproutAbout App a teacher yanking my daughter up by one arm aggressively out of her sleep to change her. When I brought it to their attention IMMEDIATELY, I was told that it was a misunderstanding. Until many months later I see reviews saying the same thing. This is disgusting, if I had only seen the reviews first. What a shame, about $800 gone down the drain for a week of trauma for my 2 year old. For several months after that, if I woke her up early to go somewhere she was terrified it would be there. It seemed so perfect too, don't judge a book by its cover huh. read more

My 3 year old son is receiving an actual education. He's being well prepared for regular school life and how to act as a member of society. Teachers have are strong and also understanding. Their experience is evident. I have noticed a huge jump in my son's vocabulary and general knowledge. read more

This was the perfect place for my grandson. Clean, well run, friendly, the staff is engaging and kind, very little turnover. Just a wonderful environment. Would definitely recommend this Tutor Time to anyone. You'll be thrilled. read more

My son has been going here since he was 12 weeks old (he is now 3). We love all the teachers and staff and my son LOVES his "school". He amazes us every day with his knowledge and skills and know that he'll be more than ready when it comes time to start school. Our daughter will be starting at 12 weeks as well! read more

I think it is only appropriate that people be forewarned about how terrible this place is. 1. I came to pick our child up for the first time after never having met anyone on site was let in the front door, walked to her room, picked her up, waved at the teachers, and walked out without anyone asking who he was and what his relationship was with my daughter. I could've been a total stranger who walked in and walked away with the first child that happened to approach me. 2. On multiple occasions my child was hurt on the playground and in the room with a scabbed lip and extremely bruised legs. Only one signed incident was reported. 3. I picked her up on two occasions in which she had a fever that was "not noticed" and when I got home it was over 101. 3. On multiple occasions I would pick up the child and there were more than the allotted amount of child v. caretaker in the room. Only one caretaker and there would be 7 or more children. 4. Last straw was when I picked her up one day and she had 2 horrible bite bruises on her arms. The teacher told us that a child saw the toy she was playing with and wanted it. He bit her and after the teacher separated them she gave the toy to the biter and gave my daughter a ball. A few minutes later the boy spotted the ball and wanted it. He went up to her AGAIN and bit her other arm. Only then was the toy taken away from everyone. The response from the teacher was that a less than 2 year old toddler needed to learn to say no. We have since changed providers and it has been a 180. My daughter advanced exponentially in a very short period of time. The facility is much nicer, the teachers are more knowledgeable, and the I have no fear of leaving my child at the center. I would not leave a stray dog in the care of Tutor Time. read more

We love Tutor Time! After relocating back to Charlotte from Maryland I was sure we'd never find a school we liked as much as the school my son went to there. The Pre-K program has exceeded our expectations. We actually tried another local place for 3 weeks before going to Tutor Time. We have pretty high standards and so far this place has been great! My daughter has been going to Tutor Time Steele Creek since she was 7 months old. She is almost 2 and I'm still extremely pleased. All of the staff know my daughter by name and show that they truly care about her. She's learned so much and I know that I owe a lot of it to her wonderful teachers. I was looking to enroll my son into tutor time and went in at 7:30am to pay the registration fee. An individual let me through the doors (I thought it was someone who worked there but it was an actual parent that was leaving), I stood in the front desk for 10mins and nobody showed up, until a teacher came out of a room and told me 'I guess Jessica is not in, you can wait or come back' she went back into the room. I told her I would wait and waited for 20mins and nobody showed up. I was very concerned that it was sooo easy for me to get in and nobody question why I was there. I could have easy walked the halls without anyone stopping me. I called the 1800 for Tutor time and let them know my concerns and they understood why I was upset. I was very disappointed since I have been wanting my son to go there for a while but in this era and with all the crazy things going on, safety is a main priority! This school has been less than impressive. In our short time here, we have seen multiple incidences including a teacher screaming in our 4 year old 's face. The staff, except a few, aren't friendly and barely acknowledge you or greet you. Lack of attentiveness and for the amount you pay, you are better off saving your money and going elsewhere. It felt right at first, but then true colors started showing after we signed up and were there for a week or so. read more

Tutor Time is an awesome school! The teachers and administrative team are all friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate the level and depth of conversations my child is able to have with us when returning home from school (he's 2:-)). His rich conversations reinforce the notion that the curriculum is developmentally appropriate. We also love the experiences our child is able to have at Tutor Time. Each month, the students are immersed in different learning experiences that push their development and belief in service to all mankind. For example, during the month of October, the students supported Breast Cancer awareness (teaching them to recognize others and support causes). They also had an opportunity to shop at the Scholastic book fair (encouraging their academic growth and imaginative nature), and the students participated in a school reading day (helping them rally together as a team to achieve a goal). The families are always included in activities as well. We got to celebrate with our children at the end of the month for their holiday parties and Trunk-or-Treat day. Tutor Time is truly an amazing place where everybody is somebody! We love this school and the people working here! Best decision for our family! read more
