Worst owner ever! I was recommended to use this place for my wedding. Everything was great up until the day before my wedding when the Guys went to pick up their tuxedos. My father (the father of the bride) went to pick up his tuxedo and it was way too big. The manger told my father (the day before my wedding) to go home and find something from his closet to wear!!! How rude and unprofessional! Disgusting!!! My father was not only upset but you can only imagine how he felt when his littles girls wedding was the next day. I will never go back there. No one should go to this shop. Doesn't even deserve 1 star! Go somewhere else! read more

Wish I could give zero stars. This was by far the worst experience in a tux store. It was a disaster from the moment we got the tux's for our wedding. They started off by giving the groom fathers and best man all different bow ties and ties , different colored cufflinks along with stained jackets and shirts. They even forgot to give my dad his tie. My sons pants were extremely short and the hem had to be Redone. When they hemmed the pants they did it so tight you could see the hem line as well as the chalk where they marked it . Fast forward to wedding day .. my sons pant hem fell out the moment he put the pants on. My husbands button fell off of his vest and jacket while taking pictures . My step dads shirt was stained yellow. These guys need to shut down Bc they clearly don't care about the quality of their stuff . Beyond disappointed and disgusted read more

Excellent service and great selection of tuxes! We decided to go with Tuxedo World for the groom and groomsmen after first pricing out another place on Staten Island that turned us off completely. The staff at Tuxedo World were so helpful from the moment we walked in the door and you can't beat the value you get for the price you pay. My husband and his groomsmen all rented their tuxes here for our wedding. When my husband was getting fitted he was fitted for one size jacket and was told they will taper a little. When he went to get the tux he received a total different size jacket. Gets only worse. The pants hemp unfolded from poor stitching right before we walked down the aisle. Also a few other groomsmen had all too big shirt sizes. I would definitely recommend to go else where. read more

Where to start? I think everyone had a problem. The groom's vest was missing a button and the hem in his pants was not sewn. One groomsmen's sleeves had a hole. One groomsmen was not given a vest. Only one groomsmen was given suspenders and he had to ask for them. The employee seemed confused at the request yet they were beltless pants and on the order. Another groomsmen's hem was not sewn and there was a bandaid in his shoe. The best man's jacket button fell off out of the bag. Everyone was given cufflinks yet not French cuff shirts so we couldn't use them. Simply put it was a disaster. read more

Thank you tuxedo world for helping us where Men's Wearhouse failed. Without you, my husband would have had a nervous breakdown right before the wedding. We called them the day before the wedding, he went in, got fitted, waited one hour and walked out with a tuxedo for our wedding. What more can you say? They were so extremely helpful and understanding. Turns out, this happens with Men's Wearhouse ALL THE TIME! DONT GOT HERE!! If I could put zero stars I would. I rented a tuxedo from tuxedo world. I was the best man at the wedding. The tuxedo fell apart throughout the night. The buttons fell off stitches came out of the jacket. I called tuxedo world to see if they could help the situation and they told me it wasn't a big deal. I had to take pictures with a broken jacket. I asked for my money back which the employee from tuxedo world insured me that I would be getting it back and to speak with Rocco. I called and spoke with Rocco and he told me I wouldn't be getting any of my money back. He used a lot of profanity during the conversation. They are not a credible tuxedo business on Better Business Bureau. DONT GO HERE!!!! read more

I used them so many times in the past and they were great even their prices but I had gone in yesterday to get my tuxedo for a bridal party I am in and the groom told us one price and they had a price that was $10 more than what we were told so I ask the guy behind the counter before who in the many years I have been going there have not seen him before older guy tall with gray hair and I had just asked and called the groom to double check the price and the guy became very nasty and told me he is losing enough money on the deal which we paid $180 for a rental which is honestly the most I have ever paid for one and he just refused to take $10 off....now if I wasn't in the bridal party and needed the rental I would have walked out and never returned but I paid the price and have the rental but will never recommend them again to anyone and will steer friends and family away from doing business with them again and it's not even the $10 it was the rudeness of the guy behind the counter! read more

I hope that if you are a groom looking for a place to rent a tux you look elsewhere. The customer service here is close to terrible and the consideration is even worse. I stopped by here at the end of January for a June wedding that would be in a locations 3 hrs away. Plenty of time to get things done. There would be 7 groomsmen and myself in the wedding. As I was trying on the tux of my choice I requested flat front pants and was told by the woman there that they aren't a popular style and that they don't stock them but could have to be special ordered if I wanted them. First, I don't care what OTHER people like. I know what I wanted for myself and didn't need her opinion. Then she tried to push me towards getting everything a size too big since "everyone else likes the loose fit." I am sorry but this is a wedding, not a night club. Anyways, when the week came for the wedding we went to try on the tuxes. We were told we could only try on the jacket and pants. No vests or shirts could be tried on in the store. We were told you have to go home and try everything on and if there are problems to let them know. This was a Wednesday night. My wedding was on a Saturday and I was supossed to travel the 300 miles to the wedding location that night. I was forced to wait until the next day because the shirt and vest did not fit! Not only that but they gave me the wrong style pants and told me the flat fronts were never ordered for me (THE GROOM!!!). They had 5 months to take care of this. So I had to wait around until the next day to replaced everything and hope my pants arrived (they didn't). The original pants they gave me were HUGE. I am a 33 waist. They gaev me a 36 and pulled the side clips in. This left me with a droopy backside. I t looked like I walked out of an MC Hammer video circa 1990. It was a joke. As for the vest, they gave me a vest that was my size by still had the hem in it. The shirt was too big and I was told the next size down would be too small. The guy there then made the comment that he didn't understand why i didn't just go BUY my own tux for the wedding. In the end, I had to go buy my own shirt that would fit because they didnt have one that would. I am a normal size medium by the way. To top it all off, when I spoke to the seamstress about when she would be available in the case any problems existed she gave me the times and told me I should come in as early as possible since she would get busy since it was prom season. I was speechless. I ordered my tux 5 months in advance. Told them the conditions we would be under. They knew in advance it would be an out of town wedding and the date. And now they are going to rush me out the door because some 17 yr old has his prom at a local catering hall? You have to be kidding, right? You and your wife spend thousand upon thousands of dollars for your wedding and it all can come undone because the tux place is more concerned about a prom than your wedding day. Unbelievable. When we arrived at the location, my groomsmen had issues that ranged from missing buttons on their vests, loose (hanging by a thread) button on the jacket and even shoes with holes in them. Yes, I said that correctly. The shoe tore at the seams and had a huge hole in it. Thankfully, my brother who came the day of the wedding and was back in SI was able to go back to the store and get some of these things replaced and brought them down the day of the wedding. The aggravation this place caused me the days leading up to and the day of my wedding is inexcusable. I wasn't even given an apology for any of this. If it wasn't for my new mother-in-law having the smarts to bring her sewing kit, the tuxes could have been a major problem. Save yourself the frustration you definitely do not need on your wedding day and stay away from this place. read more

I have a wedding tomorrow. My tuxedo was rented from NY Man's Suits nearby and my shirt could have literally fit two of my body's. I went to Tuxedo World and was greeted by Rocco. I told him I needed to rent a shirt and I explained my situation. He was very understanding and couldn't have been more accommodating. Rocco did not charge me for the shirt rental, which he did not have to do. If you are thinking of renting a tuxedo or any services from a store like this, I highly recommend Tuxedo World. Not even worth a one star . We had a bridal party of 11 and 9 men had problems. All we got for $190 rental fee were problems: from pants , vests and jackets splitting to shirt sleeves being inches short. Several groomsmen requested to try on shirts at pick up. The so called "tailor" said "not necessary because your neck was measured." The manager did not return my phone call of complaint and no monetary adjustment offered. A big thumbs down.
