Marcus attached it at the exact height we wanted, hid the wires, and centered it.

Marcus is an expert at TV mounting! We just moved into a new build in the South Lake community of Bowie, MD and wanted a frame tv mounted on a stone facade over the fireplace. We were very nervous about possibly hitting the gas line or cracking the stone. Marcus put us at ease with his experience mounting on stone and explained to us that he was drilling into the frame of the house and wouldn't hit any pipes. He communicated with me over Yelp and even scheduled a phone call to talk through what we wanted done and provided very fair and reasonable pricing. He took just a little over an hour and a half to mount the tv and did it with perfection. We plan to call him back to mount our other TVs around the house. We highly recommend Marcus, especially to all the new neighbors moving into the South Lake community off 301.

I needed help with installing a TV bracket for a huge 85in TV + sound bar surround sound system as surprise gift for a VIP of my company. Even with vague details as to what he was going to be working with, Marcus kindly accepted the offer to help us out and he was very professional in his communication and suggestions. Not only was TV Geeks! the only service company in the nearby area that responded to my special request (and I had asked several service companies in the area), they did an astounding job setting everything up and even moving the previous TV to another room and mounting that TV to the wall after spontaneously requesting that of him. Marcus goes out of his way to make sure his customers are satisfied and I am beyond grateful for and satisfied with his work. The service was clean, it was done in a timely manner, and he listens to the customer's concerns and requests and happily does whatever he can do to make sure the customer is satisfied. From the initial inquiry to TV Mount installation I was thoroughly impressed with TV Geeks! Marcus communicated promptly and offered flexible availability. Communication was great with Marcus. He answered all my questions and concerns. He was able to show proof of insurance upon request, which made my decision easier. He arrived early which was great. I could get on with my day. He measured everything to make sure the TV was placed in the correct position. He cleaned up after drilling the holes in the wall and even swept with a hand broom. All wires were hidden and the ones in the wall were coated with fire-resistant material. Looks great and would highly recommend to others. read more

Incredible service! Had checked in with a few other businesses to have my two TVs mounted and received little-to-no feedback. TV Geeks had direct text messaging to confirm my appointment within minutes and answered all my questions immediately. Marcus was great, mounting both TVs by himself within the hour while cleaning up drywall dust and assuring everything was back in its place. Their wire-hiding service was incredibly clean and they were able to accept a variety of payment options. Working with TV Geeks was such an easy smooth process. We scheduled an appointment, he showed on time, in fact a little early and mounted (3) 50+ inch TVs in less than 2 hours. All clean and leveled perfectly with wire concealment. Would definitely recommend and use again if need be. read more

Excellent service!! I hired TV Geeks after I failed to mount my TV on my own. It was very easy to call and/or schedule an appointment directly through their site, within 30 minutes of scheduling Marcus texted me to confirm my appointment. He also followed up when he was on his way and once he had arrived. After confirming the height and making his measurements Marcus explained I was probably hitting metals studs (which I did not have the tools for) and talked me through the process and tools he would be using to accommodate for the metal studs. After that Marcus had my TV mounted and the drywall dusting vacuumed up in about 30 minutes. I highly recommend TV Geeks for anyone looking get their TV mounted for a great price with even better service!! read more

This was not a "normal" TV install situation. We purchased a TV mount that was specifically designed to go over a mantle on a fireplace that allows the TV to be pulled away from the wall and down over the mantle to a more comfortable viewing height. If doing it on a regular wall, I would have done it myself. However, the fireplace has a stone façade and I was hesitant to try the install myself. We found TV Geeks on Yelp and noticed they had pics of installs on stone, brick, and other surfaces. We called Marcus and had a great conversation as we explained the situation. He said he would be by in two days, and gave us a solid up front price (which he held to, no hidden charges or fees). Then he gave us a heads-up call about an hour before arriving (great communication!). He came in and did all the work in about an hour, cleaned up behind himself and the install is GREAT! We are SO grateful and thankful we found Marcus and TV Geeks! Highly, HIGHLY, recommend. read more

Meet the Manager: Marcus S.

Hey there! I'm Marcus - Lead Technician & Manager of TV Geeks! I started off selling these services, alongside the product, within major retailers. During my tenure, I've grown from a sales person to a Store Manager in a few years. Over this time, my passion for business and technology took flight! I love being on the cutting-edge of technology, and delivering impactful solutions to my clients. Over the many years I've spent in this field, I've created many relationships with clients that have followed me around from store to store (as I've gained promotions over time). This all inspired me to get out, and take a leap! Start something from scratch - and grow it! The desire I have to be apart of something bigger than myself drives me to putting my best foot forward. Really easy to schedule and stay in touch and Olen was on time and very professionally and cleanly finished the job. When we discovered we needed a different type of audio cable for one of the connections, he went right out to a specialty audio store ~30 mins away to get it. After I got everything plugged in and running, I discovered I had a little interference in the audio line from an electrical cord in the wall and Olen came right back out the next day and trouble shot the issue and got it fixed promptly. Olen started doing a job at my condo. He did wiring and setup the home network. I had to pay someone else to finish the job and they had to take over control of the switch that he installed to get things working. Olen also left me without basic instructions like the password to my router. In addition the installer who took over for the job questioned the work that was done and said some of the wiring and installation choices were not good. I don't know if Olen is still working, or if something happened, because he simply stopped communicating. Regardless, he walked out without completing the job and no explanation.

Responded very quickly and offered to come the same day, on a Saturday, no less, so we appreciated…read morethat. We needed curtains hung. I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

Consumer Warning: Do Not Hire FixTman LLC (Washington, D.C.)…read more I would strongly caution anyone against hiring FixTman LLC for TV mounting or installation services. I hired this company through a referral from BJ's Wholesale Club, expecting professional installation. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The technician arrived and spent 4 hours mounting my TV. Less than 10 minutes after he left, the TV fell completely out of the wall. After I contacted the company, the technician returned with his father and reinstalled it. That should have been the first red flag. The TV was installed in September 2025. In April 2026, the TV fell out of the wall again -- this time causing serious damage: * Destroyed my TV * Damaged my wall / sheetrock * Left me with additional repair costs I contacted FixTman LLC again, and their response was that they would do nothing because it had been more than 30 days. To make matters worse, Thumbtack Quality Assurance also stepped in and tried to help resolve the issue on my behalf. They contacted FixTman LLC directly, only to be told the exact same thing -- that I only had 30 days and they would not take responsibility. Let that sink in. A properly mounted TV should not fall out of a wall -- not once, and definitely not twice. This was not normal wear and tear. This was poor workmanship, improper installation, and a complete lack of accountability. In over 40 years, I have never seen anything like this. Please do your research before hiring this company. I will also be reporting this experience to BJ's Wholesale Club, since they referred them. I appreciate the role which FixT serves, but with Yelp as the solicitation platform, it admittedly seems like another unnecessary middleman to go through them. The contractors did miss some minor things with our playground assembly, and unfortunately the price came in higher (without notification), despite my providing the exact model and steps required for assembly at the time of soliciting. The insurability and lack of comprehensive quality guarantees is a little off putting in the end, as even other entities that exclusively use "independent contractors" such as uber, still have additional protections in place for the end customer. Overall, they were good, not perfect. The process was wonky, but worked (for the most part) in the end. I just would prefer to go directly to the contractors in the future.

So I called around to a few "companies" I found on Yelp. Either they wanted a fortunate or could not get to me immediately. Our entire experience with TV Geeks was excellent. They responded with a quote very quickly and continued to communicate as we set up an appointment, confirmed our appointment, etc. Marcus even tried to get in touch with me the day of our appointment because he was available earlier in the day. He arrived right on time, masked up and with booties on to protect our carpets. He installed the mount, installed a new electrical outlet on the wall behind the TV, and hung our new 65" TV. I moved Into my townhouse yesterday (so don't judge the table as I'm still unpacking) but I knew last week I wanted to mount 2 TVs. After reading all of the reviews for TV Geeks I knew I wanted to go with them. I spoke with Marcus Sunday and made an appointmen for today! He was here early answered all of my questions and listened to exactly what I wanted. I was beyond blown away. The reviews really don't do him justice. He's better than 5 stars! he mounted my two 55 inch TVs my firestick and also my new Xbox as I usually like to game and watch sports together! I contacted TV Geeks for tv mounting, and am glad I did! Marcus came by right away, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure the job was done well. He mounted two tvs for me, and they look great! One tv is a older, all glass 65" that weighs more than 3 cars... well maybe not 3, but its extremely heavy. It was no problem for Marcus and T. They did a wonderful job mounting it on the wall, perfectly centered and clean all around. The smaller tv (45") was a breeze! They centered that as well and it looks perfect. Marcus and Chris arrived on time, were communicative about when they'd likely get to the house, were extremely skilled, professional and courteous. Marcus is the best in the business. From the moment I called, he was super responsive. Set up time to install my Frame TV and communicated the whole time before he arrived. Once he arrived he went straight to work and was able to install the TV over my fireplace, install wires in walls as asked and did not even break a sweat. Very pleased with the exceptional service Marcus provided in mounting an 85 inch television in my basement. He was prompt, professional and thoroughly prepared for the task. After installing the mount, he concealed the cable inside the wall and ran it to the equipment stack several feet away.
