My Samsung flat screen TV died during football season. I did enough online research to figure out that the power supply had likely died. I found George here on Yelp. His work address has changed evidently. I found him on Industrial Parkway in Hayward. We communicated via text mostly. If you're going to see him, be sure to text him first and ask if he'll be there. I put my TV in my car and spent an hour in rush hour only to find the door locked. When I texted him he said he was away and would be back in an hour. We connected the next weekend. My TV was repaired and he lowered the quoted price by about $20 when I picked it up. As we talked, I realized he's a nice guy making the best living he can from this business. First time posting a review on Yelp because it is rare to find a small business that is providing a service is slowly going away that I felt compelled to let everyone know where to find honest and good services. Brought in my 65 inch LG with blue tint on a Saturday. George said by Wednesday it would be done. Got a call at 3:00 that it was ready for pickup. The repair was done in less than 4 hours since I dropped it off. The repair cost was very good for parts and labor and the time it took was outrageously quick. If you have a tv that isn't working well call this place before throwing it out and spending more money to get a new one. My 7 year old 80" Sharp LED/LCD failed. Peter came by to diagnose and mentioned the power supply board was bad. I purchased a new one with expedited delivery and Peter came back to install. Peter was very accommodating, knowledgable and prices were reasonable. The only minor downside is that my tv was wall mounted so I needed to help as the TV is massive and a little heavy. I had a 3 year old 32" Samsung TV sitting in my parents house that my dad told me longer works and replaced a couple years back. Out of curiosity I took it to TVA to see how much it would cost to fix it. The cost was 3-4 times less than just buying a brand new. A week later, I got a bigger TV for my bedroom (old one was a 26" Vizio). I'd advise to call them first before heading over to get the most current address and time availability if you're dropping off. The address isn't updated on Yelp. The only hiccup was that my TV started changing channels on its own after the repair. I called George and two days later he came back to diagnose the problem. Sept 2012- We have a Hitachi 50" wide screen, it started showing a rainbow of colored lines on the screen. We kept turning it off the back on and the lines were gone. We thought we solved our own problem only to soon here a cracking sound and the Tv went out. The white bulb blew out.I searched online and found it however it would take approx two weeks to receive the price of the bulb and shipping was pretty costly. I called George he had the bulb in stock and his price was great. He repaired our TV same day. George was very nice easy to speak with and very knowledgeable. A few months later we started noticing a dark circle on our screen and the colors seem to be out of whack. We actually starting looking at new 50" widescreens since we thought this tv has now seen its last day and would probably be too costly to fix since it is already 7-8 years old. I decided to call George before spending a good punt of money on a new TV. I explained what was going on over the phone. He told me put in a DVD if the colors on the DVD picture are normal the problem is not with your Tv, your comcast cable box may be faulty replace it. Surprisingly enough once again George was correct. I plugged up the new cable box and the dark circle was gone and the colors were just as bright as can be. George fixed our TV over the phone and didn't even charge or have to make a house call. Needless, to say he just saved us over $1300.00 from purchasing a new TV. December 2012- I called George to ask if it was common for a Hitachi remote control to stop working only on the top half? I called up Bay TV Repair because our 2008 Samsung TV was starting to cycle on and off never coming on all the way. I called up Bay TV and George, the owner, let me know that the problem was a simple one and offered to fix it in 1/2 an hour if we brought the tv in. Took the TV to George and he fixed the main board within a few days. After it was working for about 2-3 weeks it again went dark. Awesome. My Samsung flat panel started cycling on - and off, a very common problem as it turns out. They came to my house, replaced the bad capacitors, I paid and the TV worked - for day. Turns out it was more than that. So I called, he happily came back and replaced the power supply board - at NO additional charge. TV works great (or will for another 4 years until the cheap components Samsung uses flake out again). Great, prompt service, they stand by their work, show up on time and fix things quickly. I felt the price was very fair as well. What more can I say - will definitely refer them to anyone that has a TV problem. His advice - all these flatpanels are made cheaply and you are lucky to get 4 or 5 trouble free years out of them. Buy the cheapest one you can get and throw it away. That is an awful scenario, as these just take up room in the landfill, but they don't seem to make TVs to last like they used to (My old Sony tube tv will never die!) read more

The day of the appointment, I asked if they can text me when they are on their way, which they did. George, the business owner was the technician that day.
