I brought my console in due to overheating and was charged $90. They returned it to me without a clear diagnosis, and when I tested it at home, it was still overheating. I informed them of the issue and brought it back so they could fix it, but the process was very delayed. In the end, they told me the problem was due to an old fan and said they ordered a replacement. I was originally told the replacement would cost $45, but when I returned four days later, I was told in person that I had to pay $60. I happened to drop my cell photo on the ground while going to a business a few doors down from this place. My screen already had previous cracks, but this was the last straw. As we drove away, I quickly looked on Yelp to see if there was a nearby repair shop. I had no clue I had dropped my phone conveniently steps away from such a place. Gregory gave me a quote of $110 which I thought was fair as this saved me from having to buy a new phone right now. I dropped off my phone and he had it fixed in about 40 mins, right before closing time. The screen was brand new and I would not have known this was a replacement screen as it looked just like the original. Whatever he did, my speakers also started working better. I brought in the components for an entire gaming rig and they put it together as if they were building it for themselves and that right there is the sign of people who take pride in their work. It took about a week to complete but that was mainly due to the fact that the mobo and/or CPU was defective and it can take time to diagnose something like that; and with other customers to tend to I completely understand. I had a really corroded iPhone that filled with salt from Hawaii because my kayak capsized. As you can see from the pictures, they were able to make this goner turn on. According to them it was their worst one they ever seen, they went through their basic water damage process and tried to turn on the phone. It worked when putting it on another board with another battery. Wifi was working etc. That was all I needed. I came here because I needed to recovery my phone's crypto wallet that wasn't backed up. I had 0.19 ETH on that wallet. There was no touch id and I couldn't get into my wallet cause it said something about biometric verification. I asked him for help and he told me to log out. I did that without hesitation because I thought he was a super tech guy (dumb part on me for not thinking twice). From me touching that button, $500 dollar burned in front of my eyes instantly with current exchange rates. In that moment, I had the quickest MDMA version of 5 stages of grief. After further research at home, I could have disable biometric verification in the settings by entering my 4 digit passcode. 4 stars because they have excellent service and did their jobs perfectly. - Able resurrect my iPhone 6s in horrible condition. - Fast, under 24 hrs. Dropped 1 cause $500 poofed. I just wouldn't trust them in crypto related issues. One click like me and all of this could be for nothing. And to be clear, I do not expect them to have expertise in crpyto issues since this is just a repair shop. No where did they advertise crypto wallet recovery; Mistake of me generalizing people with tech skills to be experts in everything. My circumstance is unique, and I would still recommend to others. My laptop keyboard stopped working, so for the first time I took my laptop to BayIC Repair. The technician, while I was there on a Friday, did a preliminary check and found no obvious cause. On Monday he phoned to tell me that the problem was a short in the keyboard and that he could order a replacement for me (this was an older model Toshiba laptop). Late Thursday the part arrived and was installed, ready for pickup (four business days total). The charge was quite reasonable, less than $100. Communication about the status of the job at each stage was excellent. Not only were there tracking texts, but personal phone calls. I was very satisfied with this experience. read more

I actually had high expectations for this place. I specifically chose it because of the high ratings, but the service was confusing, expensive and not much of a good experience altogether. I suppose it's mostly disorganization and customer service. I tried to give myself some time to cool off before leaving a review while I tried another business. My laptop is fixed now by another business for $189.. and their diagnostics was actually free WITH warranty. This place does diagnostics for $40.. and was asking for another $40 to do... Well, MORE diagnostics/labor. I'm glad I decided to pull away from this business because I'm pretty sure I would've paid more than $189 for diagnostics alone. We also got our laptop back with so many missing screws, all of which the new business we went to replaced for free. I feel like it's very unprofessional for someone to not put all the parts back into place while also being accompanied by horrible customer service. They also supposedly gave updates via text, but when I responded, I never got a reply back and had to double check with them via Yelp message since they weren't replying via message on their website. They supposedly had an issue going on with their website/app at the time, but it's not like customers like us would know when it is or when it isn't working.. I also had a conversation with.. I'm assuming the business owner via messages on Yelp because it was the only way to get in contact with anyone with the conversation still being recorded. And he was pretty rude. He asked why I was messaging him on Yelp if I could've just called.. but I was just double checking on the status of the laptop and why would we be charged another $40 for diagnostics when they're not sure it would fix the issue. I feel like we should only be charged once it's actually fixed with proper knowledge of what they're doing.. in that matter, I understand what I'm paying for. As I'm typing this, I'm being reminded of how the guy talks because he's very condescending and talks to customers as if they're dumb.
