They let me know that it was a 50:50 chance that the iPad could be repaired but would give me a complete refund if it didn't work. Wrong, the quality of the front camera was still an issue with no change or improvement. She also purchased the screen protector from the store and never received a refund. She came back a third time and they ended up replacing the screen. Usually, second time's the charm right? Not this time. The quality was exactly the same. My daughter tried messaging through Yelp to find a resolution, but her messages were completely ignored. I'm disappointed in the customer service this store provided although having a good rating. My daughter had to find a more reliable and dependable store to have her screen replaced. So far, it's as new as the day we bought it. Not to mention that the new store we went to was very friendly, fast, and provided a warranty. Having to pay for another store's failure is unpleasant.

Don't waste your time going to this place. Brought my daughter's laptop and paid $300 for the screen to be repaired. Mike Duong said that I can get it after 3 days. After multiple calls and 2 weeks after I heard 2 different stories. Per Mike Duong it will be ready in a few hours and just needs to be tested. Called back after a few hours and the guy who does the repair said that the part hasn't come yet. They don't even communicate with their lies. If they were just truthful and not deceitful I would have been more understanding. But calling each time and being lied to is very wrong. They trick people and don't know how to do their business. Don't go here. Please read reviews before going to establishments. Du Mobile needs to be reported. They trick people. Trust me, don't waste your time. They might be cheaper but not worth the anger and disappointment. UPDATED: So Mike Duong who's lying now? This is the receipt that I paid dated 1/23/24, the day I brought in my daughter's laptop. The Korean lady works here is an angel in disguise!! My granny has Alzheimer's. She went to Seafood to pick up stuffs before we head back to Philippines and somehow she forgot the pin on her iphone. It took her 30 minutes and the phone was in disabled mode and she doesn't remember any cell number of ours. Someone in Seafood told her to go over this store to see what they can do. The lady here successfully reset the phone for $20 but there's no contact left as she told my granny. My poor granny was completely lost, but the lady went extra mile to help my granny by booking her a uber to the airport with her own money!! OMG!! She also helped my granny to carry her stuffs to the car. My family really deeply truly thankful for helping my granny, if not we wouldnt catch the flight on time. I came across Domobile on yelp trying to find a place to fix my iPhone 10 with signal problems. I have been to 4 different places including T-mobile and Apple and none of them was able to diagnose the problem. Tracy was super fast. She found out the problem in 1 day, replaced the cable and called me to come get the phone the next day. I appreciate that the service was done in timely manner and she even sanitized the phone before giving it back to me. The repair comes with 90 days warranty so Domobile is definitely my place to go next time I need a repair done. Excellent and friendly customer service. I can't thank her enough so when she asked me whether I could write a review, I have to return the favor. The only thing is the store is hard to find because they don't have a sign. I cannot rate this place highly enough! My phone was broken after experiencing water damage and I came across Du Mobile. I called them to receive a price quote and they immediately told me they do diagnostics for free. Plus, Du was on the phone was extremely kind about my situation. I brought my phone in, and the technician graciously answered all of my questions. He then kept my phone for less than 1 hours and had it up in running. I appreciate that they let me know how much it would cost upfront (after the diagnostic test) and I ended up paying only $50 for a new battery. I drove 50 miles to them to do a -will be easy tweek- to my 2016 macbook, they say can't do it right away, will be ready next day, i called the next day...they say it will be 3 more days...... i called after 3 days they say it will be 3 more days.....i called again after 3 days....day say will be ready tomorrow.....i called 10-15 times the following day till they finally anwered me, only to tell me will be ready tomorrow at 2pm. i went there the following day at 2pm and thay say that could fix it.....i got my macbook went to oakland computer repair center and was done in less tham 45 minutes...... when it comes to MacBooks in my experience THEY ARE A JOKE.... read more

Around Christmas time I had an issue with my iPhone getting stuck in SOS mode for second time... first time the volume and right side button rebooted the phone but now that wasn't working and AT&T said go to Apple ... went to another phone repair and they said we don't fix that ... so my third choice was Du before I went to Palo Alto... I was unable to charge my phone. First went to Best Buy and they told me that the whole unit needs to be replaced and it will take 2-3 weeks. Then I checked Google and found DuMobile and called them. They immediately gave me an appointment for the next day. Hai took my phone right away and started working on it, not only replaced my charging port but also cleaned my phone so well that now it is like a new phone . I took my OnePlus 8 smartphone to DuMobile here in Union City CA to get the rear (back) camera lens replaced (I did have to wait for a week for the replacement lens to be delivered to DuMobile which they ordered the same day I came in and requested the service) cause there were tons of scratches. The lovely lady who works there, Tracy replaced it in about an hour and I came back at 12:30pm and was already waiting for me. Everything works as if I just bought my phone months ago. Best phone repair place I have dealt with. I come here every time I have broken a phone and have suggested it to my friends as well. Most recently I have come here to fix my iPhone 6s. My screen was broken and my phone was bent and they were able to give me a whole new front face for a very reasonable price. 08/05/17 Had a cracked screen on my iPhone 5s went over to AT&T would have cost me over $112-$189 for a replacement and $89 for a new screen under an insurance plan, yelp this place. We had the iPhone screen damaged, half screen was not visible anymore. They fixed it for us very fast. If you're considering a screen replacement between a genuine Apple one and an aftermarket one,…read moreplease read this. TLDR; Buyer beware. Screen replacements on newer Apple phones will cause a lot of issues that the seller does not disclose during sale nor want to remedy when inevitable issues arise. I have an Iphone 16 Pro that had a crack on the screen that increased in size over time. I did not initially want to spend over $300 on an genuine Apple screen replacement and opted for an aftermarket one. i found Sycamore Tech through Yelp, contacted the owner who scheduled me to come in the same day. Went to this business and had my phone screen replaced in a matter of 20 minutes. Prior to fixing, the owner even upsold me for a OLED screen for an additional $20 since the genuine Apple screens are OLED. After picking up my phone, the owner told me that I will have to calibrate the phone screen which can be done through the settings. I paid a total of $179. The same day, I noticed that the motion/movement while swiping on the screen was very harsh and not smooth compared to before. I also noticed that my phone battery was draining a lot faster along with the fact that the phone was heating up quickly. When I tried calibrating the screen, the phone would not allow it and gave an error message saying that it does not recognize the screen as a genuine Apple product. I searched the error code on Google and apparently it is a very well known issue. An issue that the owner never disclosed. A day or two later, my phone screen went completely black. Initially I thought that my phone was off (due to the battery draining quickly) and attempted to turn the phone on. However, I received a text message and felt the phone vibrate. A purple hue then started developing on the edges of the screen. My coworker immediately took a photo of the issue for me. Using my coworker's phone, I was able to secure an appointment with Apple the same day. After work, I went straight to Apple and told them the issue. The Apple tech ran a diagnostic test as done procedurally and even asked me "This is an aftermarket screen huh? I can tell." Apple replaced the screen, ran a diagnostic test, and everything functioned as normal again. The Apple tech also commented that Apple products are way too advanced today and gone are the days where you can buy aftermarket replacements parts. I paid Apple $350 in total to have my phone screen replaced. My mistake however, was not asking for the malfunctioning aftermarket screen back. I went back to Sycamore Tech and informed the owner of all the issues I had. I even showed him the $350 charge from Apple to prove that I was not lying or trying to game him in any way. His response? "Well yeah I mean it's never going to be as good as an actual Apple one." When asked if I can get a refund or even a partial refund, his response was, "How can I give you a refund if you don't give me back the screen?" I pleaded with the owner and explained to him that even I went back to Apple, I was not sure if I can get his exact phone screen back. The owner told me, "What kind of business would I be if I just started giving refunds to people who don't have a product to give back?" I pleaded with him again that I was not some customer who returned months later demanding a refund with no type of proof. I asked him to stand by his business and his product and again asked if. there was something he can do to remedy the situation. His response? "You should have came to me first." First mistake I had? Using Sycamore Tech. Second mistake I had? Not asking for the malfunctioning phone screen back from Apple. Third mistake I had? Coming back here thinking that the owner will right a wrong. An owner who does not stand by their product/service nor make any attempt to rectify their poor service is an owner who only cares about the money you're giving him,. Spend your money wherever and however you want to, I'm Just putting out my experience with this business so you won't make the same mistake.

This is when I remembered Gorilla Fix, when my bro in law and sis got their iPhone batteries replaced. Located in the food court area of New Park Mall, I was greeted by the owner, Mike. I asked if he was able to replace the battery of an iPhone 6s Plus. He confirmed that he could and the process will take about ten minutes. Ten minutes had passed and Mike was already done replacing the battery. He showed and gave me the non-working phone battery. Before even leaving and paying, he let me test out the phone to see if everything was ok and to see the battery charge. Mike was very friendly and attentive. I'm for a repeat customer for my phone battery replacement needs.
